I took my wedding dress to Sandy's Tailor and Alterations to be altered. They were fast and reasonably priced. I took my dress in about five weeks before the wedding, which I had been told was late to be starting the alterations process. But the women at Sandy's didn't blink an eye and they did quality work. A great little shop.
Sandy was great and I was really impressed by the price. I had a dress that was covered in lace. She hemmed it, added cups, took in the top and added a bustle all for $150.
The only reason she did not receive 5 stars is because it wasn't ready when I showed up to pick up my dress...she had one last thing to do. The dress was ready later that day but I did have to come back for it.
Sandy and her small group of tailors run a bustling business. I took my wedding dress there for a hem and Sandy was able to suggest other minor changes (bra cups and a slight let out at the hips) that made the dress fit even better. She was able to complete the changes quickly and ensured that I was happy with the final product. Also one of my bridesmaids took her dress there a week before the wedding for rush alterations which were completed. Sandy only takes cash and is only open 9-5 week days and 9-1 on Saturdays. The shop is small and crowded with garments but that seems to be a testament to their loyal fan base.
