Sarah was exceptionally helpful in working with me to schedule my small wedding in the middle of a very busy wedding season. She was extremely professional and put me at ease on the big day. All of my family members commented how much they liked her and how many photos she took. The pictures were completely awesome! I could not have had a better expeience. Highly recommend!

My parents, and our friends and family, cannot get over how great the wedding photos turned out. She caught so many great moments in action. We had Sarah shoot our wedding in April and it couldn't have been better! She was able to capture all of the little things that made the day feel special, and has an amazing eye for detail and capturing moments.

Her rates are great for the amount of things you get, especially when you look at the inflated cost of DC-area photographers, and we received everything incredibly quickly! We had enough time to go around to several locations in the area, which really gave us some great shots. She has a great eye for posing as well.

The pictures themselves are absolutely gorgeous too! Her style was what initially attracted us to her, and we were not disappointed! We couldn't be happier :)

Sarah is fantastic. She's warm and friendly and very relaxed. She's always calm, and won't hesitate to politely point out the schedule and the need to stay on time. As far as shooting goes, she's always in the background, yet she manages to get the most fantastic candid shots. She's never in your face or underfoot, yet she's there at all the right moments without making it seem like a camera is going off every half a second.

Sarah is so easy and flexible to work with. She does just the right amount of directing while including plenty of normal candid shots such that you get the feel of the wedding, rather than a canned, overly placed set of photographs. She definitely knows what she's doing; she's a professional.

My (now) husband and I hired Sarah to be the photographer of our October 2011 wedding. While I actually came across her via CL, I did check Sarah's reviews on weddingwire and was very happy to see how many couples expressed such positive reviews. Have to say that dh and I are in complete agreement with that camp!

Yes, her rates are fantastic (especially if you've seen the rates of most photographers in the DC metro area). Yes, Sarah is very responsive when it comes to questions/suggestions (or the last minute changes to your photo list - many apologies Sarah!).

But what attracted dh and I to hire Sarah was her personality -- maybe it's an innate thing, but she knew how to put us at ease and coax out what we really wanted in terms of photos. While having a "must have photo list" is recommended, Sarah (and her husband who assists her) has a fantastic eye of catching the "beautifully unexpected". Yeah, it's a weird term, but if you see the photos on her website - it's just amazing what she captures.

We were also impressed at how she handled things during the wedding day itself. She arrived on time, and basically hit the ground running with her camera. You knew she was around taking the shots, but she did it in a way that it wasn't intrusive at all. Plus, was very happy with her "zen" approach when it came to dealing with dh and I regarding our list of must have photos -- when she told us it would take x amount of time to get y photos, she was right. And that was a huge help when you know you're in a time crunch.

Granted, I haven't seen my photos yet, but I know she'll be wowing my husband and I when they're ready. Seriously, if you haven't found a photographer yet, would totally recommend this lady. True, you want photos of yourself and your future spouse. But Sarah's photos seem to remind you that while wedding is indeed a fairy tale come true, other stories are happening at the same time -- and that in turn, makes the memories of that event even sweeter.

Sarah and her husband, Zeb, did an absolutely fantastic job with photographing our wedding! We just got our pictures back last week, and I was crying through all of them because they were so beautiful. She captured moments during the wedding that we never got to see because we were running around, crazy-busy. She was extremely flexible with us when we had to call off the engagement session last-minute due to an accident. She was also fantastic with communication, keeping in contact with us, and meeting with us prior to the wedding. They were so extremely professional and easy to work with, before and during the wedding. Sarah was our photographer on our 10/2/10 wedding in Old Town Alexandria, VA. She is amazing. She is very responsive to our phone calls and emails and has great attention to details. It was so easy to work with her. She is flexible and open to some of our photos ideas. We really like her style of photography. One big thing that some of the guests commented is how they like that she's not pushy. She is not the "in your face" kind of photographer. All the photos she took turned out to be great and everyone love it. It was definitely a pleasure to have Sarah as our photographer.
