Sarah Maren (and her husband/second photographer Dustin) are in one word, AMAZING.

We first went to Sarah about 10 months before our wedding with a very different wedding in mind. We had decided to forgo the stress, money and excitement that is a 'normal' traditional wedding, and we were planning on having a small ceremony at SF City Hall with a reception at a family member's house. We booked Sarah for this purpose, did a fantastic engagement shoot, and then decided that the wedding we were planning wasn't going to work out the way we wanted. Mid year we completely switched gears and ended up planning a 125 person, fairly 'typical' wedding in Walnut Creek. With a new date. Sarah didnt even flinch- she was so helpful with every aspect of our wedding planning, and truly understood our 'vision'. She responds to every email with compassion and friendliness, and really tries to get to know you as a couple.

On the wedding day itself, my only regret is that we had been able to book Sarah for an extra hour, it felt like our picture time was too short! Sarah and Dustin capture moments that you dont even know happened, and they make them beautiful. I love every image we have seen so far. They are so artistic and truly make photography an art- there is nothing normal or average about Sarah's photos.

She is completely worth the price, and is very comparable to other respected artistic photographers that you will research. Sarah really listens to your style and what you are like as a person- if you want glitz and glamor, she will give it to you. If you want rustic and vintage, it's yours.

I really value Sarah more as a friend now than a wedding vendor and I am confident that when we have kids, Sarah will be the one to help us make our picture memories! Love Sarah and Dustin!

I've also hired her as the photographer for a recent wedding that I coordinated. During odd lighting transitions, from daylight to sunset - she didn't even flinch - I was amazed by her technical flexibility. She took so many amazing shots and did not miss a detail! I still regularly watch the slideshow from that wedding - truly incredible work.

Sarah is a true artist. When a bride and groom hires Sarah, I always know that the end result will be nothing short of phenomenal. She is a total blast work with to boot!
