Sarah Pastrana Photography

Sarah Pastrana acted in a very professional manner throughout the whole process, and being a new bride herself, even offered some advice on the creation of the wedding day schedule. She was in communication with me throughout the entire planning period and met with me to look at the ceremony and reception sites. She dressed appropriately and didn't stick out as the wedding photographer. Her demeanor was warm, friendly and funny (she's a southerner), making all of the people involved feel comfortable in the photographs. My husband and I did a first look photo shoot session, which turned out to be one of our favorite parts of the day. Sarah did all of the research ahead of time for that photo shoot, which alleviated stress on me. Sarah's husband came along to help and the four of us just had a blast taking our photos all over Lancaster. The candle lit ceremony mixed with the awful colors of the church carpet was a horrible situation to give to any photographer, but Sarah created some of the most beautiful and classic photographs I've ever seen from a wedding. You can't even tell that the lighting was not ideal. Our reception was equally difficult, with respect to lighting, but once again, Sarah did an outstanding job, capturing some of the best moments and faces on the dance floor. Being an artist, I was really picky about who I wanted to shoot our wedding and how I wanted our photographs to look. I also didn't want some annoying person in my face all day taking my picture. Sarah was wonderful to work with and lived up to all of my expectations! She got our proofs to us in under a month, which I feel is incredibly fast considering all of the work that went into finishing them. I'd definitely recommend her if you want high quality photos!

Sarah has great leadership as a photographer in terms of being firm with people in order to get a large group to cooperate and be where they need to be, but she is also engaging and fun and easily brings a smile when she's shooting. She shot both our wedding and reception and some of our favorite shots are not the standard wedding photos, rather the silly candids from our reception that reminded us of so many great moments during a day that went by too quickly. Her style is fresh and fun and very professional.
