First off, Cari is amazing! She is so helpful and quick to answer me. We did a destination wedding in Florida from Illinois and we never got to make it down before the wedding to meet with everyone and there was no reason to. The wedding day went so smooth! We had our reception at a private residence out in the backyard surrounding the pool. Michael and Paul arrived promptly and had everything set up and ready to go when we got back from our ceremony. They were amazing!! My family just could not get enough of these two. Even while we were out in front taking photos Michael and Paul brought out drink and appetizers to us to have in between our photos! The food is outstanding, everything was so good. The prime rib was phenomenal! The cake tasted just a good as it looked also, everyone went crazy over the cookies, they said they were the best they had ever had. We had a great time; I don't think it could have ran any smoother. I would highly recommend using Sarasota Catering Company! No question about it you will be highly satisfied!

Cari McDowell knows weddings! She helped me make my ideas into a reality. She is really good at what she does and you can tell she loves her job. Sarasota Catering Company was such a great value with a high class look. Using Sarasota Catering Company to coordinate with my rental company (US Tent Rental) not only lessened my stress but also saved me a lot of money. Cari coordinated the following for me: Ceremony chairs & sashes, reception chairs, tables, linens, food (including our wedding cake) and servers. She even went to my venue before hand and drew out a site plan and spoke with the owners of the resort. If I can give any advice to future brides who are looking at Sarasota Catering Company: Use Cari McDowell as your contact and be sure to use a server or two depending on your wedding size ( Servers were $100 + tip for 4 hours each... we had Keirstin and she was FABULOUS.) If you are a bride, listen to me when I say that Sarasota Catering Company will make your day about you and your husband, family and friends... not about worry and stress... They take care of almost everything!

Cari, from Sarasota Catering Company was amazing. I did not plan on catering my destination wedding. I initially planned on having heavy or'dourves. But, like most weddings, things snowballed. I read many reviews on line and contact 3 caters. Cari responded promptly and answered all my questions up front. I was not able to make a "tasting" date, but she assured me that the food would be incredible. And, according to the 50-60 guests, IT WAS. (The Mexican Fiesta was chosen.) She also coordinated the tables, chairs, and linen rentals. Everything turned out wonderful, especially the weather. I have only one grip, I was told that the tables and chairs would arrive in the morning. They did not arrive until almost noon. (Really not that big of a deal, considering the wedding was not until 7pm. But, I've have a sort of OCD and I needed things to be in place timely) OVERALL, Cari and the Sarasota Catering Company were GREAT!! I would definitely recommend to anyone having a venue in the Sarasota area.

The Sarasota Catering Company was the best choice for my wedding. They handled the catering, linens, tent rental, and day of planning. It was so simple to work with one company that coordinated so many large aspects of the wedding. Although Cari did just the day of planning for the wedding, she was my shoulder to lean on through the whole process. I emailed her constantly with questions and thoughts, and she replied back in no time with her most honest answers. It was such a huge help for me.

On the day of the wedding, Dwight was with the wedding party for the entire time, making sure that we had food and drinks while we were taking pictures. He handled everything we needed so we didn't feel like we missed a beat.

Sarasota Catering Company was wonderful. Not only was the food delicious but the company was elegant and professional. Cari McDowell worked with us every step of the way to make sure everything was perfect. We used them for two evenings: dinner the night before the wedding and the wedding event. The night before we had a paella party and the seafood was fresh and abundant. I am usually not a red-meat eater but the beef tenderloin was so delicious. We had family style at the wedding and the servings were more than enough. We are not local but if we were, we would definitely use them again for all of our events.

Cari and her crew were AMAZING. They had it all: delicious food, great value, and really easy to work with.

They helped us put together a custom beach BBQ menu, featuring fresh grilled oysters, which they even let me sample grill-side before serving it all up buffet style. They set the tone for a magical evening -- classy without being uptight. And they helped decorate the tables when my BFF decorating crew got held up.

Another great feature of SCC was they let us provide the alcohol, which saved us a fair amount of money compared to the other options in the area (Fort Myers Beach). Even though they were 2 hours away, which meant adding travel costs to our final bill, it was well worth it compared to the liquor savings.

Super professional, attentive to the little details (hors d'oeuvres plate and wedding night leftover package for the happy couple), welcoming and accommodating of our random ideas and preferences, Sarasota Catering Company is an outstanding team to work with.

I am so pleased with the outcome of the cocktail hour and reception. Everything was spot on, I didn't have to worry about a thing. I just sat back and enjoyed everything the night had to offer. It has been a wild wedding year, one I am sure most brides go through! I just can't thank Cari (our wedding coordinator) and team enough for helping to make our day picture perfect! I am the kind of bride that when first planning my wedding, bought presents for guests, picked the venue with their comfort in mind, and food choices were thought of to please all. Plus, I has a lot of out of town guests, from some quite unique backgrounds, traveling to our wedding. Cari did not miss one detail of our wedding. She organized my crazy thoughts, put my outlandish ideas into a beautiful wedding scape, and was by my side throughout the entire process! I know she kept me from having a nervous breakdown from all of the stress!
Budget was of great concern, since my husband and I had just moved to Anna Maria Island, were considering buying a house, and paying for most of the wedding ourselves.
Cari has this knack of suggesting great money saving ideas, without compromising your vision or classiness of your event. We has several guests come up to us at our wedding and ask how we could spend so much money ourselves. We of course couldn't and didn't.
Cari is the reason that my husband and I chose Sarasota Catering Company for our wedding. When we embarked on the daunting task of choosing a wedding caterer and coordinator, we were surprised to find that many businesses told us they did not have time for us, they could not provide us with a rough estimate, or some didn't even bother to return our phone calls.
Cari promptly responded to every e-mail, wild anxiety ridden text, and phone call. She met with us several times in person, came to our wedding venue to assist with logistics of tables and decor, and always had the brightest smile and enthusiasm.
As for the food.......we chose to have a tappas style menu. Everyone was stuffed! I actuallly ate at my own wedding! Our guests enjoyed the uniqueness of our style in menu and complimented the outstanding quality of food and service. The bartenders, bell captain, and wait staff were wonderful! Even running out onto the beach to offer a quick bite or drink to my husband and I before we took sunset pictures.
Cari, for her part, was scurring around the entire evening, smile on her face, making everyone feel welcome.
She is a true gem in this industry! I just can't say enough about her! We will remember our day fondly because of her. She truly enjoys what she does!

Sarasota Catering Company is amazing!! They are catering for my brothers wedding at the end of March and after going for a tasting for the wedding I decided to have them cater for the couples shower that I was throwing for them. I made an apt to sit down with Cari McDowell and told her my budget. Cari and I put together a FABULOUS menu :). THEY ARE THE BEST :)

As a wedding planner, I was very impressed with the professionalism and flexiblity that was provided by the staff at Sarasota Catering Company. I would definitely utilize their services again!

Cari and all the other employees of Sarasota Catering far exceeded our expectations! My daughter and I had to plan her wedding from long distance, but Cari made it easier to plan than if I had held the wedding in my own town. She offered suggestions and recommendations on other vendors, many of whom we used. I wish that I had listened to her more, as the vendors that we hired on our own were disappointing and the ones that she recommended were wonderful.
Everything was exactly as Cari described and even better. From boxing up individual cake portions for guests, adding additional table decorations at the last minute, providing special guests with personal requests, keeping our cake cool in 100 degree heat...(the list could go on and on), we were overly impressed with every staff person (and, especially, Cari and Dwight) and their desire to go out of the way to make our day memorable. I don't know what else they could have added to make the day any more special than it was!

Sarasota Catering Company did an amazing job on our Brunch reception! Cari and her team listened to all of our wishes down to the last detail and made everything happen!!! I really could not have gotten through the day without them. They were a "full service" caterer and helped with everything from food, to timing at the ceremony! When my husband (love saying that) and I searched for a caterer for our beach ceremony and museum courtyard reception it was a pretty daunting task. With so many to choose from how do you know who will do the best job on arguably the most important and most memorable days of your life? What I loved about Sarasota Catering Company is that they were up front with everything, even have prices listed on their website! You ladies know how it goes with all the phone calls and questions so it was refreshing to be able to do some research on the website first.
The chef Lance even met with us to talk about style of reception and reccomended food choices too right away!
And omg, Cari was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Going back I would have hired as the day of wedding cooridinator, she does it all. Her emails were so thorough, tackling answers to questions I had not even asked yet! Right from the beginning I felt at ease, she is professional yet still gets excited for you, she has amazing ideas and always respects yours, she finds/reccomends ways to cut costs, she knows the questions to ask the other vendors, I could go on and on and on!!! She even took my DIY centerpieces and set them up for me so I could focus/enjoy the day.
Michael, who lead the team on wedding day was so accomodating too! He made sure my husband and I always had food (we had a cocktail style reception), water, drinks, anything we needed he was there. Being sort of a DIY bride, Michael collected the reception items I brought/made and packaged them for pick-up from my sister a couple days later. It was so nice to not have to worry about clean-up after celebrating.
The guests had rave reviews of the food too! We had a cocktail reception as I mentioned so the menu was vast with passed appetizers and display tables with a late night snack of some wings! Believe me, you want the guests to love the food and desert (we had a cupcake cake with 4 unique flavors) and Sarasota Catering Company makes that easy.
I think I could go on for days about how wonderful this vendor is. Call Cari and she will make all your wedding day visions come to life.

Cari and her team were excellent at Sarasota Catering Company. I did not have to lift a finger at the wedding. What I loved about Sarasota Catering Company was they handle much more then just the food. Cari took care of my rental items, Tent,chairs, linens, etc... She handled speaking to my vendors once I choose them. The servers and bartenders were very good to our guests and were constantly checking in with my husband and I to see if we needed anything. The food was excellent, everyone loved it! When I plan my next party, I will use them again!

Service was nothing but great! All of our guests and myself were very impressed by their tact and thoughtfulness. I left some seashells for the servers to arrange on the tables and they did such a wonderful job! Even decorated our cake table! I forgot to order shot glasses for the bar and they offered my guests metal souse cups. :) Such a problem solvers! Food was really good too.

On the value of cost, I can't properly judge this category because it was my 1st wedding & it was in another state so I did not have the time to shop around. So I split the stars in half just to be fair. If this is the only question I will be answering. The things that stood out were the waiters bringing the bride and groom cold water and hor devors' while they were taking pictures so they would't miss out on tasting some of the food before it was all gone when picture time was over. Also, Sarasota Catering negotiated pricing with all the vendors and had a timeline that worked beatifully. It was nice to have one person to go to for everything except the photographer and DJ.

Overall good service, good food, good price. We would recommend this caterer to any bride.

My daughter was married on April 20, 2008 and we used Sarasota Catering Company as our caterer. We worked closely with Josephine Jenkins, their Event Manager. I must say that from the first taste testing right on through the event they were wonderful to work with. They were creative and fun and made the entire process a positive experience. We appreciated their expertise on pairing just the right foods at the right time for just the perfect result. They were professional and caring and by the end of the day we felt we had made friends. Our guests couldn’t quit raving about the food so thanks SCC and Josephine and your fine staff.

I highly recommend Sarasota Catering Company.... They are fabulous to work with and will exceed all your expectations. You will work with a woman name Josephine, she is great. I guess reason I had such a great experience with them is because they are more attentive than the others! Amie has used Sarasota Catering for events at Northern Trust, also my other girl friends have used them with great experiences.. They did my engagement (for 100 people at a house) and the wedding for 180 at the outside Farm Bureau.

Thank you so much for the magnificent spread yesterday. The presentation was spectacular, and many individuals asked me who did the catering. Everything was delicious, too, and we had plenty of food.
