Savvi Formalwear and Bridal

I think the only thing we were a bit bummed with was the tux rentals with Savvi. They were nice and helpful in the ordering process but in the end, the tuxes were way off size-wise. That was a bummer as our out-of-town attendants weren't able to try them on and so we had to wing it. The store front is nice enough but you should be prepared to spend some time waiting if there's more than 1 person in there.

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at Savvi. Denise was such a big help in a time when we really needed it. The stress of planning a wedding can be overwhelming, and Denise took a huge weight off our shoulders. I wish I had used Savvi for my entire wedding party and not just the groomsmen. I would definitely recommend Savvi to anyone looking for help with formal wear. Thanks again, Denise!!

Seemed to forget about us when we were at the store by appointment. Much more interested in helping the students there for prom attire. Insisted that groom's vest fit when it most certainly didn't; deep sighing upon insistence that groom wanted a better fit because it would require additional work on their part. Working with Savvi kept the cost low, and the vests, suits and shoes worked fine, but the interaction with/disregard from their sales staff is nearly enough to drive you batty!

They are not good with calling you when dresses are ready. Awesome in all other aspects.

Great prices! Delivered everything on time as promised. Very easy process. Only 1 out of 4 bridesmaid dresses had to be slightly altered - that makes for very happy attendants! Really enjoyed the personalized service. Small store that delivers big!!! Thank you so much for making me look perfect on my wedding day!

The owner and staff member we worked with were excellent. Measurements for the wedding dress were perfect. Communication about the dresses coming in was timely. Measurements for the tuxes were minimally off. The only hiccup along the way was the groom's tux and a groomsman's tux were switched and given to the wrong person - which was odd since the styles were different.

Top of the line service and professionalism to every detail. Nothing is overlooked. My gown was stunning and received a lot of nice comments on how it looked.

My experience at Savvi Formalwear was VERY GOOD and this was related to the personal attention we received from Denise. Denise is extremely knowledgeable and she was invaluable in getting a bridesmaid's dress for my 15 year old daughter, and a tux for my 13 year old son inside of 6 weeks before the wedding. She helped us through the process, and her suggestions for alterations were right in line with what my tailor suggested and the bridesmaid dress after alterations was perfect.

Savvi's awesome! They are so patient and are willing to help you make your day exactly what you want, no matter how many times you change your mind or need to come back for another look. I'd recommend them to anyone - for any of their wedding attire needs. Regardless of how formal or fancy your wedding is, Savvi has attire for your event.

Savvi off of Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh was my first stop when looking for my bridal gown. Not having any clue of what I was looking for, I was quite suprised to find the perfect dress after only trying on a few. I decided to look around at about four other bridal stores in the area,thinking to myself "it couldnt be that easy". Well it was, none of the other stores had anything close to what I found at Savvi. The staff was far better at Savvi then anywhere else I looked. We decide to get all of the mens attire there because they were so accomidating. I truely felt special and I think that's really what it's all about. I would definitely recommend Savvi to any newly engaged couples, you wont be dissapointed!

My experience with Savvi was between good and above average. There's one woman in there that is just horrible with customers, never really in a good mood. The woman that seems to be the manager is very nice, however. The groom gets his tux free too, which was pretty cool in my opinion.

I didn't know how formal our wedding was going to be until Mike came home from visiting his mother in Raleigh and let me know that he got fitted for a tuxedo. I had originally bought a simple vintage dress, and I though Mike was going to wear a simple suit, but I guess he got talked into wearing a tux by his mother. Hmm. No, it was okay! He rarely has the chance to wear a full suit (he's a teacher, and the only suit he ever wears is a track suit, because he's also the volleyball coach). I loved the idea that he loved himself enough to go out and get a tuxedo! He said that his mother made the appointment for him, he went in at 10, was fitted, and that he would need to go back to pick up his suit and for a second fitting. Because Mike was going to wear a tux, the rest of his grooms also went there and were fitted for tuxes (rentals, too) just so that everyone would look on par. The store was really great. They called to let him know that the suit was ready, it looked great on him, and when I went back with him to return the suit after the wedding the salesclerk was so happy to see "the happy couple". I love people who love what they do!

We needed to get dresses for both the flower girls (I have three neices, and my husband also has three neices). They are all under the ages of ten, so it was important to us to find something young and fresh and cute. We also wanted it to be fun for the girls, and thought that bringing them to a real formal store rather than Sears would be really special. We made appointments at Savvi Formal wear on Glenwood Avenue, and we brought the girls three at a time. The staff was really great and patient with the girls, which was nice. The staff was also good about making sure the dresses they brought the girls were in our price range. In the end, the flower girls picked out a range of pink and purple and one green dress. The price was perfect, and the dresses fit well.

My husband and I were married over two years ago and went with Savvi Formalwear and Bridal in Raleigh for our tuxedos. The owner, Denise Maeyaert was wonderful to work with. She ensured all tuxedos looked great on our groomsmen, and she (as well as a staff member) was on call the day of the wedding in case there were last-minute alterations that needed to be made. We were so pleased with the service, value and professionalism we received and would recommend them to any bride and groom for their tuxedo needs.
