Science Museum of Minnesota

Dan and I did a his/her bachelor party, but we also did a family and friends party, too! Our best friends have young children now, and Dan has nieces, we’re used to having children around when our friends meet and hang out. We thought it would be fun, especially for the kids that would be coming from out of town with their parents, to go to the museum. Dan and I are huge museum fans, it’s one of the reasons we love living in the Twin Cities, and we’ve gone on our own sometimes to the science museum when there’s a special exhibition. You have the option of having a private party there, but we just got the group rate and then took our time going through each exhibit. I think it’s important, also, for our friends to see us as a healthy functioning couple before we get married!

We had our reception at the Science Museum. Gorgeous and unique venue with an outdoor patio overlooking the Mississippi and Harriet Island. The service was great and they even gave all my guest complimentary tickets the museum for that day. However their minimum spend requirement is quite high and if we would have had fewer guest it would have been hard to meet.
