The only light I use for weddings is a light on the camera. I only use this light at receptions in low light situations. This adds sufficient light without being a distraction to those being shot. Other lights are very intrusive and tend to disrupt the wedding.

I have 4 additional videographers I can add to any shoot.

Yes, the consultation visit is free and is encouraged.

Yes, my presence is guarenteed. If I have to cancel for any reason and give at least 14 days notice, you get a full refund including deposit. If I cancel within a 14 day window, you get a full refund, including deposit, plus an additional $200.

I never require a meal. Breaks are incremental during the reception based on the reception schedule and are flexible to ensure no important events are missed.

$100 per hour after the pre-determined number of hours have passed. Time is rounded up so if you hired me for 6 hours and I shoot for 6 hours and 10 minutes, you get charged for 7 hours.

All raw footage is available for an additional fee unless included in the purchases package.

Scioto Valley Productions retains full rights to all video/audio produced unless those rights are purchased for an additional fee. Typically, Scioto Valley Productions will use footage for promotional purposes only.

The client is not involved in the editing process. Upon completion, the client will be able to watch the highlight video online and will be emailed the DVD graphics for approval. A one time change to the highlight video and/or graphics is standard at no cost. Additional changes can be made for a fee.

Typically, we guarentee the DVD's to be shipped within 60 days of the wedding unless extensive changes are requested by the client. The average time we take to complete and ship DVD's is 30 days.

Our basic package (4 hours) is the minimum we charge.

Do you require a deposit? Yes, a $300 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of the wedding.




Request a resume from your videographer that details their past work experience. Don't settle for someone who's only had their own business shooting weddings. These are NOT professionals. Your videographer should have some work experience at a well known production company, local television station, or network. Those individuals are more likely to be professionally trained and able to provide the quality work you deserve on your wedding day. The videographer should also have at least a Bachelors Degree in one of the following areas: Video Production, Broadcast Production, or Communications. There are alot of people out there that buy a camera and start shooting weddings and call themselves a professional. Don't be fooled.
