Reviews for Scott's Seafood Restaurant
We serioiusly considered Scott's for our wedding reception. My fiance's parents came with us to the initial consultation, where they met with us personally for half an hour, gave us a tour of the restaurant, and then treated all four of us to a free three-course lunch! We had chicken and salmon - both were delicious! What great service!
The event planning service is incredible. A group of us went to Scott's for a complimentary tasting. We had chicken and salmon over mashed potatoes, baby carrots, and asparagus. Chicken was good and moist. Salmon was a little dry.
Well, I'm a sucker for a free meal so the free lunch you get for coming in is a good start =). It's right next to the Bay so that's kind of cool. It's located in Jack London Square so you can walk around the pier.
I don't know though, when I was walking around inside the restaurant, I felt like if I had my wedding there, it wouldn't have felt special. I wish the windows were bigger, too so that more sunlight could come in and you could get even more of a view of the bay.
They do have an interesting outdoor space that fits 350(?) people or so. That was far too big to for our party, but I thought it was cooler than the rooms inside.
Went to one of their roundtables where they give you a tour and a free lunch (had the same as Margaret - chicken and salmon). The food was very delicious, the catering manager who showed us around was nice, and it was such a beautiful and clear day that the harbor just glistened. And there was a wedding reception going on for about 320 people, so I was able to get a good idea of how the Pavilion would be set up. It's still a big contender on my list, but I'm not sure about the parking (paid lots and valet only). With validation for 2 hrs it was about $5. They seem to get lots of interest in renting out their rooms for non-wedding related events, and the catering dept. has weekly meetings to go over all the logistics for weekly events, so they've got things down packed.
We really liked Scott's! Our contact person was Corey Jelliffe. She was amazing. We had another venue initially. They went out of business, taking our deposit with them. We contacted Scott's, desperate, and they stepped up immediatly. We had a tasting, the same as the others - chicken & salmon, as well as the mushroom raviolli. I didnt try the salmon, but the other two were great. Corey was quick to return emails and phone calls, even coming in on her day of to make sure our set-up went smoothly. They arranged child meals and gluten free meals for some of our guests even. The only downsides were that it was quite warm, despite repeated request to turn up the air conditioning, and the food service was a little slow. But overall, a wonderful experience, highly recommended.
