The hall is amazing, the food was amazing, the price you cannot beat. Everyone had a great time and my guests are still talking about my wedding….three years later! But the woman who was in charge of the event planning at the restaurant STUNK to high heaven! She messed up my rehearsal dinner, did not have all of my linens and avoided me the day of because she knew I was a bit peeved. Luckily the actual restaurant manager stepped in to help. All in all I would still have my wedding there in a heart beat. I would just make sure you have a wedding planner at least for to make sure everyone thing is done so you are not stressed.
worst experience ever. I booked this place for my wedding. After hurricane sandy hit this place was completely destroyed. i called to find out about what my options were and one of the workers said its scheduled to open in may (my wedding is in nov - 6 mos from then). I called again and spoke to Anna whose the person who reserved everything for us and in the most unprofessional tone she yelled WHAT! on the other line when I told her I wanted my deposit back since they cant guarantee they'll be back and running by nov. and quite honestly after the amount of money im spending on decor, florals, invitations and the whole bit - i cant run the risk of investing everything for their venue if God forbid their contractor decides to push out the date for whatever reason and it ends up cutting into my day. as a bride i have enough to worry about already than also having to worry about whether the venue will be fine by then. she was soo rude. completely unempathetic/understanding and simply told me the contract says non-refundable. i asked to speak to the owner which she denied. I've never experienced such bad service from a vendor. She was the absolute worst and am beyond disappointed and frustrated. if you're planning to book your wedding here DONT. run in the other direction. i bet their insurance is reimbursing them for all of the damages and instead of doing the right thing their scamming people into staying with a venue that they cant event guarantee. even if i can move the date to next year i will not stay with them after how terribly they treated me and how unprofessional they are! looking into a lawyer to get my money back and find a real wedding venue with real service!
Seabra's Armory: spectacular views, TOTALLY CATERING TO YOUR NEEDS, and pull an AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!
note* do not work with Ana Clemente----she is customer UNfriendly.
Jack is who you want to speak with. He is amazing and a doll!!!!
Every aspect was just absolutely to die for...the food, the pricing, the packages......
DO NOT PLAN YOUR WEDDING HERE!!! We booked our wedding here and it was the most ridiculous situation I have ever encountered. An August wedding, Does the AC work? Of course it should...but it didn't. They told me all day (since 10:30 am until 9pm) that the AC guy was on his way. Well he never showed and half my guest left and my cake had melted. The minute I stepped in there, my hair fell out of its curls it was so hot and humid. There was a wedding upstairs at the same time who also had the same problem with the AC. The restaurant went out and purchased them portable air conditioners which were being exhausted into our room!!! I realized that half of my guests were gone only and hour and a half into my wedding all complaining about the heat. No one could even dance.
The poor workers were pouring sweat and I felt awful for them!! Half the food we had contracted for never came out!!! I had two rice dishes in the buffet....there was never supposed to be any rice!! They made two huge dishes of rice just as "Filler". My fiance and I were the first ones to the buffet and as i was waiting for him to finish his plate, I took a bite....my chicken was still frozen! UGH!!!! Oh and our "champagne toast" was a joke!!! No one even realized that there was champagne in the glasses because they had put so very little! It looked like the backwash of the last wedding's toast....SO EMBARRASSING!!!
The elevator has been broken for 6 months. I specifically asked them when I booked if the elevator worked since I have a sister with cerebral palsy and a cousin with MS. They swore that it was being fixed in a week!!! There is no bathroom on the event floor...so all the elderly and disabled had to climb up and down the stairs just to use the bathroom. My poor sister was exhausted and one of my guests who had recent surgery was literally crying. What a horrible experience!!!! AND SO MANY VIOLATIONS!!!
Despite the beautiful location and what seems like a great price, its just not worth booking there! Spend the extra cash and have a great day instead of a stressful and disappointing...
We just had our wedding reception here last weekend! It was great! All the guests were very impressed by the food and location! The whole process was super easy; everyone working there was very accomidating! I would recommend the Armory again and again! Everything was perfect!
Seabra's Armory was absolutely amazing! While communication was a little tough over the phone, we got everything we asked for. The food was amazing (many of our guests said it was the best food at a wedding they have ever had). We had a lobster bar, top shelf open liquor, sangria, filet mignon, and so much other food that no one left hungry (or sober). They had set up in the bridal lounge a private cocktail hour for the bridal party, parents, and grandparents, which was a great way to escape from the guests for a little while and still be able to enjoy the cocktail hour food. The atmosphere is fabulous - one guest said she felt like she was on a ship but without the sea sickness. Our only complaints were that our cake started to melt and they did not set up our candy buffet correctly. Other than that, we got whatever we wanted - and at an AMAZING price. While Seabra's Armory has no website, it is completely worth the ride to Perth Amboy to take a look. It is a "diamond in the rough".
