Seize the Day Events

We loved working with the gals at Seize the Day! We had an outdoor tent reception and our guests have not stopped raving about how beautiful the wedding was. We owe a ton of thanks to Seize the Day for making it so fabulous. Throughout the planning process, Peggy listened carefully to what we wanted and then offered creative ideas that we would have never thought of ourselves. She knew all the best vendors, which saved us an incredible amount of time. She was respectful of our budget and found ways to get the look we wanted for an affordable price. The best thing of all was that on the day of our wedding, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They took care of it all! When I arrived at the reception I was stunned with how beautiful everything looked. It was perfect. We cannot thank Seize the Day enough for helping to make our wedding the most wonderful day of our lives!

It was wonderful getting to work with Katie at Seize the Day Events. We had a short timeframe to plan (less than 3 months) so we mainly used Seize the Day Events for Decorators.

Katie did a great job looking at my pictures of inspiration and turning it into a beautiful room. Since there was an event in the Reception hall prior to ours they had a short time to set up, but you wouldn't be able to tell!

I highly recommend using thier set up and take down services. It was well worth the money (fairly small fee). Purchasing this additional service took the stress off of me, friends and family during the already hectic day.

Peggy did a wonderful job. We found her after the majority of planning was done, she was needed more for the day before and day of the wedding. She was always right there when I needed something or someone and the day went perfectly.

Peggy was excellent to work with – take a bride and groom from out of town, about half the guests are from out of town, one vendor closed 2 weeks before the event, and tornado watches during the rehearsal – and it all went fabulously. She is organized, patient, communicative, connected to quality to vendors, and able to identify those little things that make the difference. We highly recommend Peggy and Seize the Day Events for any planning and rental needs.

Seize the Day Events was a pleasure to work with. They coordinated the linens and other decor items for my sister's wedding. As an event planner myself, my standards are very high, and working in Wisconsin where I'm not used to working, I was happy to find such a great vendor to work with. They were on time, helpful, organized, and had a great attitude while doing their work.

I rented linen overlays and two candleabras from them. I mostly worked with Katie and she was great! Guests commented on how pretty the overlays and candleabras were. Definitey recommend them.

I initially booked Seize the Day from a friend who had used them for day of services. They had come highly recommended for quality of service and price. I booked them for planning and day of services. From my iniitial meeting with my planner Katie, I was impressed with the amount of energy she had and her excitement for my ideas. Throughout the process, she kept my ideas in check with my original vision and helped me to focus on what I wanted the overall feel for the wedding to be. As it got closer to my wedding, we exchanged weekly emails in regards to status of meetings with other vendors and to confirm everything was going smoothly. What rocked: As of the week of my wedding, I felt like I did not have to worry or think about everything because Katie had already talked to all my vendors and figured everything out for me. As of the day of my wedding, I did not worry about any of the 'details' (decorating, flowers, who's doing what) as Katie had already taken care of it. The absolute best part was walking into my reception (which I had Katie/Seize the Day set up) and see everything exactly as I had pictured it. And the other best part was knowing no one had to spend the day setting up or taking down as I had Seize the Day do this. What could have been better: My only wish was that Seize the Day's rental items would have been more reasonably priced. Overall: Well worth the cost for the peace of mind.

I had the chance to work with Katie from Seize the Day Events and she did an AWESOME job. She was so flexible and full of ideas. She took a ton of stress away from me on the week of my wedding. She helped give me suggestions for the decor of my room, easy to work with, and helped with linens, as well. I am so grateful for Katie's services and she did an awesome job!

Seize the Day completed the day of preparations. They put chair covers on all of the chairs, hung lanterns from the ceiling, and also completed the aisle runner decorations at church. Everything was beautiful and seemed to tie together very well. I was a little disappointed with the lanterns that were hung from the ceiling. The KI center has 35 foot ceilings so I knew they were high. Seize the Day said they had never hung anything there before, but I made them aware of the height. I didn't feel the lanterns were hung as low as they should have been. I am not sure my guests even noticed them which made them a bit obsolete. But I noticed them and I do think the idea they had was a good one! The only other complaint I had was we had a few last minute updates to what we needed for the ceremony as there was a miscommunication on the last visit. The adjustments were made and everything was decorated as was expected, but the adjusted bill was not sent until almost one month after the wedding.

Very helpful in the planning and coordinating of activities and vendors. Helped reduce the stress associated with a wedding day. Kept everything on track the day of the wedding while still allowing some flexibility in the day.

I am actually surprised to find myself writing a negative review about Seize the Day Events. After 2 a two-year wedding planning period, my fiance and I interviewed dozens of vendors to find the ones we truly trusted to meet our expectations. The staff at Seize the Day really did impress us early on. Every communication with them was flawless. The staff was friendly and got back to us promptly whenever we had questions.

However, on the day of our wedding, just minutes before I was supposed to walk down the aisle, I found out our rented arch had not been delivered (more than an hour after the agreed upon delivery time on our contract--which I had confirmed via email, in person, and over the phone before our event). Minutes later, I saw the delivery people from Seize the Day arrive and try to bring the arch in. Needless to say, this was a very upsetting thing to have happen when our guests were already seated in the church. It did not look very professional to have my decorator rushing to set up and decorate the arch in front of an audience.

The thing that makes me most upset is that I never received an explanation or an apology. After returning from my honeymoon I expected at least a quick email of apology for not holding up their end of the contract. Even after writing a complaint letter I have never received an apology. To me, this is just truly unprofessional. I am sorry to say how very disappointed I am with their service.

Having worked with many planners over the years I have to say that Sieze the Day Events is truly one of the best! They really pay attetion to the details and are great at getting to know exactly what you want. They are friendly, fun, and really understand and deliver GREAT customer service! I would recommend them to anyone looking for just a little bit help or to help plan your entire reception/event.
