Jenna and Carmen are amazing at what they do! They provided FABULOUS 'Sex and the City' themed cookie favors for my bridal shower. They worked with me on the ribbon colors and even tied the tags on for me (one less thing I needed to do). They were not only amazing to look at, but they were beyond delicious! In fact, when I was trying to figure out a favor for my rehearsal dinner, I knew exactly who to go to---Sensibly sweet! This time they did palm tree cookies to go with my tropical theme! When some arrived broken, they not only rushed to re-do those, they met me immediately the next day to deliver the new cookies. Their professionalism and easiness to work with were such a blessing--esp. when planning a wedding! I can't wait to have another event just to order more cookies!! Don't look anywhere else--they will do whatever you need and work within your timeline to get the job done! I love sensibly sweet!!!

Sensibly Sweet responded to my email nearly immediately and truly sounded excited to help us create our unique wedding favors. Our wedding was in Brooklyn, NY and we requested NY themed cookies. Sensibly Sweet provided suggestions of cookies that were within our price range and even packaged them with coordinating colors! The cookies were BIG and extremely detailed, beyond our expectations!! (The taxi cab had hub-caps and break lights!!) Our guests thought they were very unique and to top it off, they were delicious. We were beyond happy with the order and have already said we plan to visit the shop!

Jenna was a pleasure to work with. From beginning to end, all of our communication was through e-mail, which when planning a wedding and all there is to do was extremely convenient. She picked up one our theme right away and sent us four cookie choices to choose from and taste test. We liked two and hoped to custom make a cookie using aspects of both. Jenna said absolutely so we eneded up with a three tiered wedding cake cookie, with white fondant, black damask pattern and our purple B front and center. She gave us many options as far as packaging and then customized a ribbon with our names and the date to tie the cookies up in a cellophane wrapper with. We were extremely happy with her service. Meet the dynamic duo behind Sensibly Sweet:
The onset of Sensibly Sweet began with the formation of a mother-daughter innovative team. The daughter, Jenna, a culinary school graduate who specializes in baking, decided
to combine forces with her mother, Carmen, an artist and owner of Party Etc., a party decorating business established in 1996. Together they created Sensibly Sweet, a custom cookie company that centers around families and their special events.
Carmen, who has a degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of New York, and interior decorating from the New York School of Interior Design has always had a passion for party decorating. Whether it was a small gathering with
friends or her daughter’s Quinceañera, she has always paid attention to detail. Her focus, the décor of the room, from balloons, to tulle, to twinkling white lights, no stone ever goes unturned.
The idea of the cookies
started with Jenna’s colleague and friend Josh Lynn (www.joshlynn.com) who approached her about making “Thank You” boxes for his brides. That idea was the beginning of a new direction to the Sensibly Sweet portfolio. Thank you, Josh!
Jenna, who has her BPS in Culinary Arts, has always had a passion for baking. Growing up with a very artistic, creative mother, it was inevitable that she would decide to join forces with her. Together they not only create fabulous cookies and have
fun decorating beautiful banquet halls but they also share their very special mother-daughter bond.

FAQ for Sensibly Sweet
Because we believe each cookie should have a special added touch, we would like to make our cookies as personalized as possible! As long there is room available on the cookie, we are happy to do it! There is an additional $.25 per cookie for personalization. Our favors are custom made, individually wrapped in a clear cello bag and tied with a ribbon.

Lead time for Custom Cookie Orders:
Our normal lead time for orders of 12 – 100 cookies is 3-5 business days, however more time might be required during our busy seasons. For custom cookie designs we do require at least three months notice to avoid any set up fees. However should there be less than three months for your custom cookie order please call us at (973) 288-1701 or email us at info@sensiblysweetnj.com and we will be happy to accommodate you in any way we can!
What is the Minimum Order?
For favors, our minimum order is 12 cookies, except our 3D cookie collection. Please contact us for details.
How much notice is required?
Orders of 12 – 100 cookies lead time is one to two weeks.
150 – 500 cookies lead time is two to three weeks.
However, don't hesitate to contact us even if your request is not within the time frame, as we will do our best to try and accommodate you.
(During the months of November and December cookie favor lead times vary, please call for info.)
*Longer lead time is required for orders that require tags or personalized ribbons.*
Cookie Favor Cancellation Policy:
A 50% deposit is due at time of order placement. Balance is due in full two weeks prior to event date. Delivery orders can be paid on day of delivery.
In the event of cancellation:
1. All cancellations must be made in writing.
2. If a cancellation is received more than four weeks prior to the promised event/delivery date, the aforementioned deposit will be refunded less $100 administrative fee.
3. If a cancellation is received less than four weeks prior to the promised event/delivery date, the aforementioned deposit is forfeited.
Sensibly Sweet will not accept any cancellations left on voice mail. Thank you for understanding.
Can I mix cookie themes?
During times that we are not super busy, we would be happy to combine up to 4 cookie designs. During our busy season, please call us at (973) 288-1701 to see if and how we can accommodate your request.
Do you ship cakes and/or cupcakes?
We regret that we are unable to ship our cakes and cupcakes. We do however, ship our cookies!
Where do you deliver your cakes and cupcakes?
We normally make deliveries in Northern New Jersey. We will, however, travel to Central and South Jersey for larger orders with a lead time of no less than four months. Please contact us for delivery charges. *During inclement weather delivery adjustments might be necessary.* We also recommend following up on the status of your order two weeks before!
Do you customize cakes with a theme or subject matter?
Absolutely! As long as we receive enough notice to fit you in our schedule.
Deliveries with Signatures:
UPS Ground does not require a signature. They can track a shipment and provide proof of delivery; therefore, Sensibly Sweet is not responsible for the delivered package. If you require this service however, you must place the order via telephone and request this service. Additional fees may apply.
