I loved working with Kirsten to develop the ceremony reading, and she did a great job making it perfect for my new husband and I ... she really captured our personalities and the theme of the day. Rev Kirsten was great. Everyone in attendance complimented on how well she performed the ceremony. Some of them that aren't married yet said they would like to have Rev Kirsten perform their wedding when they decide to tie the knot. First let me say, I don't think I'm a skilled enough writer to even write a review that can do Reverend Kirsten justice. From the very first time that my fiance, Eric, and I spoke to Rev. Kirsten over the phone, we KNEW that she was the perfect officiant for our wedding ceremony. Just the warmth and general happiness in her voice during our first conversation portrayed a genuine passion that Rev. Kirsten has for what she does. She actually wanted to get to know us. Go figure. Of all the officiants that we spoke with, Rev. Kirsten was the only one to actually ask how we got engaged, how we met, etc. This was very important to us. When we met with Rev. Kirsten. she picked our brains about what we actually wanted our ceremony to be like, gave us ideas, and truly taylored our wedding ceremony to be about "us". The actual ceremony was more beautiful and personal, then Eric and I could have even imagined. All of our guests (even Eric's "Jewish" mother who seems to never be satisfied), could not stop raving about what a beautiful ceremony it was. Weeks later, and we are still getting compliments!I believe that every couple is unique, and has a different story to be told. Reverend Kirsten told ours. That is all we could ever ask for. After all is said and done, that is all that matters to us when we think back on our wedding 50 years later. Thank you, Reverend Kirsten, for making the most special day of our lives so far, just that - special! We will cherish the role that you had in our wedding day for the rest of our lives!So, would I recommend Rev. Kirsten? - absolutely, any day of the week! If you want a personal ceremony that speaks to your own, personal journey as a couple, do not pass her up!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kirsten! We just had our wedding and the ceremony was fabulous. It felt so personal and was really a perfect combination of our two faiths. She blended our traditions in a way that really made all of our families and guests feel involved and comfortable and also truly reflected our beliefs. Kirsten’s voice is soothing and comforting, and her words were intimate, engaging, and brought some of our most stoic guests to tears. Our wedding was this past weekend and I am still reeling from the experience of how beautifully it all came together. Nathan and I contacted Kirsten very late in the game and though she was traveling at the time, she responded to my email almost immediately from the road. She accommodated our requests and needs with flexibility and grace, from the initial interview via Skype to our very different views on what we wanted to include in the actual marriage ceremony. She was full of ideas and suggestions when we got stuck trying to agree on a non-traditional ceremony that really felt like "us".When we met in person for the first time 30 minutes before the ceremony began, Kirsten's warmth, confidence and calming presence helped me to just let go and trust in her guidance. She has a truly beautiful voice and her inspiring words set the stage for Nathan and I to exchange our very emotional vows in our own way. There was a lot of crying and some deviation from the original order of service, all of which she handled with grace.I can not recommend Kirsten highly enough. She helped us to create a truly authentic wedding experience where we were able to be our best selves, celebrating our love and union with friends and family. Reverend Kirsten Blom-Westbrook was wonderful to work with for our ceremony. She was very professional, but also very personable. She was able to answer all of our questions and provide us with a wonderful ceremony. She was very easy to deal with and was quick to help us figure out all of the details. She made sure the ceremony was exactly what we wanted, and made sure the experience was wonderful and memorable. I highly recommend her to other future brides.

Rev. Kirsten is a God send. She was like a mother figure during the whole process. She worked with us with issues and was very compassionate when understanding our situation. She was always there when I had questions and she always reassured me that everything would work out. As a bride, I was of course very anxious and nervous. But I must honestly say that it was a perfect day! She gave me a pep talk to calm my nerves before the ceremony. The ceremony was more than I had hoped for and better than I imagined.She incorporated everything we asked for in terms of scripture readings and our vows seamlessly. The service Rev K performed was exactly what we wanted there were a few other hurdles (change in venue, family members, etc) that she was able to navigate with grace and ease. We highly recommend her services. She is prompt in both phone and email replies and helps the ceremony run as smoothly as possible.

My husband Jeremy and I were married by Reverend Kirsten this past June. Originally we were to be married by my childhood pastor, who is also a close family friend. Three weeks before the wedding, he was ordered into emergency surgery and required to be on bed rest for over a month. All of a sudden, we were without an officiate for our wedding with less than a month left to go. After contacting several officiates in our area and getting all negative responses, we were terrified that we would have to postpone our wedding. Enter Reverend Kirsten. We found her name on a referral sheet that we were given by one of the officiates who turned us down, and learned more from the Services of Distinction website and her reviews here on Wedding Wire. We thought sure that this late in the game, an officiate with such a large number of glowing reviews would be all booked up, but sent her an e-mail just in case. I guess she picked up on how panicked we were, because-- and I kid you not-- we received a call from her in less than a minute after I clicked send. She said that she would absolutely be able to officiate our wedding for us, that she was on her way to dinner with her family but she just hates to see these types of e-mails and wanted to call to tell me not to worry. My now-husband and I were so touched that she went out of her way to contact us right away to alleviate our fears.We wanted a unique, very personal, non-denominational wedding that really reflected out personalities, and Reverend Kirsten helped us create just that. She made a real effort to get to know us and our story, and to incorporate that into the ceremony. She worked around our unusual schedule and was more than willing to meet with us over the phone or Skype at odd hours of the night. She asked for our input every step of the way; she let us take charge in the areas we wanted to, and was happy to take the reins in the areas where we wanted some guidance. There were many components that we know we wanted to include. For example, we wanted to write our own vows and have each of our parents write their own blessings. She was never judgemental of any of our choices, no matter how unconventional they were! Reverend Kirsten took the pile of ideas we had for everything that we wanted to incorporate, and wove them together into the perfect ceremony. Literally every guest we spoke to raved about how unique and beautiful it was. We cannot thank Reverend Kirsten enough for everything that she has done for us. In the future, when we are looking for someone to baptize our children or renew our vows, she will always be our first choice. She is not only a wonderful officiate, but a beautiful person with a great sense of humor and a kind heart. Thank you again so much for everything, Reverend Kirsten!

Kirsten is one of my very dearest friends, so it made perfect sense for her to be a part of one of the most memorable days of our lives. She was able to offer a ceremony that was personal and heart felt. Her service was exceptional, not just because she is one of my best friends though, she genuinely cares about the quality of service she provides. She asked questions about myself and my husband, and then was able to take that information and determine what our likes/dislikes are to come up with the most fitting of ceremonies. Kirsten and I live almost 300 miles away and we had to create our ceremony from a distance and didn't even have an opportunity to practice, but you wouldn't have known that from the service. It was flawless. Even spectacular.

Kirsten was wonderful. I had a hard time choosing an officiant for our day but knew as soon as I met Kirsten that she would be perfect. She helped me create and set the pace of the ceremony. She even took the lead at the rehearsal so I was able to relax and enjoy it. I had four flower girls and a ring bearer and she was great with them. She had even the shyest of the bunch following directions. Kirsten is such a warm and caring soul; she helped to make our day perfect!

Kirsten was awesome!!When my husband and I originally met with her, she helped us have a better understanding of the whole wedding process and even gave suggestions to our planning that we had never thought of. When we left our original visit we were so happy and confident that it was going to be a great day.When it came time for our wedding. Kirsten was happy to pretty much do two rehearsals, as we had a rain location for our outside wedding and on our actual wedding day she was happy to wait to the last minute to confirm our ceremony sight so I could have my dream wedding outside. The ceremony that Kirsten wrote was exactly what we asked for and I got compliments from other guests about how good of a job she did making it our day.I would highly recommend Services of Distinction, their services clearly made our wedding wonderful!

I loved Kirsten, when I felt overwhelmed with the venue she took charge at the rehearsal and I only had to worry about my part and my part only. Thank you soo much if it weren't for you I would have ended up stressing over things that didn't matter for myself. Thank-you for saving me from a disaster.

Kirsten agreed to officiate for us on short notice due to my fiance's health. She was incredibly profesional and organized. Having her get our marriage license took the worry out of doing the paperwork. She also recommended a wonderful B&B for us to stay at in D.C., which wound up being a highlight of our trip. Her simple ceremony was lovely and truly heartfelt. We could not have asked for a better experience.

I would refer Rev. Kirsten to anyone looking for someone to do their ceremony. She is real easy to talk to and was able to perform our wedding last minute. The words she used during the ceremony really described our relationship of my husband and I and what we will do for each other. THANKS AGAIN!

Re. Krisin was truly truly wonderful. She customized everything to suit us, and just provided the best ceremony I could have imagined. She was charming and pleasant, and really everything we could have wanted.

I don't even know where to start with all the wonderful things Kirsten did for us. First of all, we decided to have a small ceremony three weeks prior to New Year's Eve. Kirsten had several things going on that same day, but made it a point to work with our schedule. Rev. Kirsten Blom-Westbrook has provided officiant/wedding ceremony coordinator the best I could ever imagined. From the moment we met her till the day of the event, she has guided us with every specific detail of the wedding ceremony. Being the wedding planner for my daughter's wedding, she recommended Filipino wedding rituals in the ceremony which has turned out to be an eye opener for other culture that has witnessed the event. She is the best officiant I had ever met.

This was exactly the type of ceremony my wife and I wanted! She wrote a beautiful ceremony taking into account our preferences. The day of the service there were a few glitches in our plan and the Rev handled them with the most gracious flexibility! She was altogether accommodating and wonderful!

After having to change our original plans of an elopement in Alexandria VA, our destination changed to Baltimore, MD. We decided we would like to do a quick ceremony before setting sail on New England cruise in October. I did some searching online and found Rev. Kirsten and many wonderful reviews of her services a few weeks before our arrival in Baltimore. After a telephone conversation and quite a few emails, everything was set in place. Rev. Kirsten was extremely flexible in working with our very short window of time between the time our plane landed to the time we needed to be at the cruise port. We had a lovely ceremony atop Federal Hill on a very windy but beautiful, sunny day. Rev. Kirsten was very professional but down-to-earth and SO very pleasant and seemed genuinely happy to be marrying us. We couldn't have asked for anyone better!

Kirsten was absolutely AMAZING. She went above and beyond for us. We had to book her at the last minute (The week of the wedding!) and she was still able to handle everything with the greatest of ease. She worked with us to figure out who we were as a couple, showed up early, and performed a beautiful service that I received a lot of compliments on from several of my guests. And the military discount was so very appreciated! Thank you Kirsten!

I was very pleased with Rev. Kirsten, although the cost was slightly more than I had anticipated (through our email discussions, she indicated that we would receive a "military discount" as my husband served in the Navy - I don't know if this was applied to our price, though).

Rev. Kirsten was amazing! From the day I contacted her right up to my wedding day she was absolutely professional, punctual, and personable. I could not have asked for a more perfect fit for my new husband and I. The ceremony was just right and she exceeded my expectations by miles and miles! She was extremely accommodating, especially since we only had two weeks notice before our wedding. She had many great suggestions but also listened to what we wanted. I recommend Rev. Rev. Kirsten is wonderful! She made our ceremony unique, special, and memorable. She has a calming effect and an infectious smile. We are so blessed to have had her as our officiant.

If your mother/mother-in-law is great at planning weddings/parties etc., you can totally have your wedding in 2 weeks. I did!!!

She was a last minute replacement due to a family emergency with the other officiant. She returned my calls right away and met with us the following day just to make sure we were comfortable. She helped guide us through our day and even helped usher our guests outside for the ceremony. I would recommend her to anyone. GREAT JOB!

We planned our wedding for months on end it seems and in the end, we'd forgotten to secure a minister to officiate that day. We were referred to Rev. Westbrook from a friend who attended another wedding she'd served at and we were simply blown away by the level of service we received from her! From the moment I contacted her, she was warm and comforting and made me feel like everything would go perfectly. Well, the nasty heat on our wedding day not withstanding, she was right. Everything with our ceremony was perfect! From the smaller ceremonies and rituals she suggested to orchestrating the receiving line afterward, Rev Westbrook really made things run smoothly. She was well-spoken and conducted herself very professionally and fit in quite nicely with our guests. Though she couldn't stay for the whole reception, she did stay to offer a meal blessing (which we really should have asked her about before!) and surprised us with an Irish Wedding Blessing as well--which thoroughly pleased my grandmother! I can't imagine my wedding day without Rev. Westbrook. She is now an indelible part of our wedding memories and will be a cherished part of our circle of friends forever. I would highly recommend her!

My sister was married by Rev. Kirsten last March and she had THE best experience with her! Rev. Kirsten was an real gem! When their first minister canceled on them just 3 days before their big day, she was recommended to us by a family friend and she took care of everything. She even wrote a beautiful ceremony for them from just a basic phone conversation and included their twin daughters in it. She helped combine their babys' baptism with their ceremony so our families could experience it all at once. I can't say enough good things about her and I know my sister would say the same thing. I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, qualified, dependable officiant. Sadly, she is not available on MY big day but I would book her in a heartbeat!

I can't believe we were so lucky to get someone so caring to share our special day with us. Rev. Kirsten went out of her way to work with us to create a memorable ceremony and all who witnessed it wondered if she'd known us for years!

My original officiant dropped out two weeks before the wedding, and Kristen swooped in and did a better job on than the original guy ever could've. She's totally flexible, very responsive, and completely reliable. How else can you describe someone who gives you an awesome rate at such short notice, and does both the rehearsal and ceremony with less than ten days' notice despite taking care of two six month olds! She was awesome from the minute I met her. As the bride, she listened to me and only me--a true relief that empowered me to make the decisions I wanted, despite otherwise pressures from family members. She was straightforward and fun with the wedding party, going along with their antics while keeping them in line during the rehearsal. And best of all, she did the ceremony exactly the way my husband and I wanted without interjecting her own beliefs/ideas on a promise that is entirely personal in nature. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her, and I recommend her to any and everyone! Thanks Kristen!!!
