Once I had my dress, there were some alterations that needed to be done with the hem and the bust. Karen, the owner, has done alteration work for me before, and she was very skillful in altering my dress. Because I was worried that I might lose or gain weight, she agreed to wait until three weeks before the wedding before making any drastic alterations. That was very generous of her, considering how much work needs to be done. Her work was perfect, and on the day of the wedding she was there to make sure that all the seams were in place. It was perfect.
I found this really beautiful wedding dress at an 'antique' shop in St-Paul, but it was about six sizes too big. Because the dress was really cheap, and in good quality, I brought it to Karen to see if she could make it fit me. I figured it would be worth it to pay the difference in alterations if she could get it to fit me. She is really talented, and I was soo happy with the way the dress turned out! There was just something about it that I loved, and Karen was able to keep that original style intact. The dress was stunning, and it fit wonderfully after all the alterations. I love my dress, and am so happy that I found someone who could fit it for me.
