Sgt Brown Entertainment and Sound

One of my biggest concerns in planning our wedding was picking a DJ, because a DJ can pretty much make or break the event. I found Sgt Brown on wedding wire and we met with Dan for a consult.
We found Dan to be a great guy with a fun personality. He is very thorough in everything he does, and even came to the rehearsal/dinner to make sure he had all of the right music for the ceremony and then provided music for our entertainment.
Our wedding and reception turned out great, and we had a dance contest and other games provided by Dan to help keep things fun. I would definitely recommend this DJ!!

I wasn't sure how to go into this whole wedding thing. Dan met with us and helped us through the entire process. Just like he says, he is a friend, soundboard, troubleshooter, wedding coordinator, teacher, and an awesome DJ! He gave us suggestions, made phone calls for us, found other vendors that we could trust, and made us feel comfortable the whole time. He came to our rehearsal and taught the entire wedding party how to walk down the isle! Then he turned around and set up his equipment the next day, ran the ceremony flawlessly, made the transition to the reception (which was over 200 yards away) to usher people over to the area that they needed to be, and kept people dancing on the dance floor all night long! I could not have asked for a better vendor to help us through the wedding. 10 stars for SGT Brown Entertainment and Sound!!!!

I would say that a successful wedding reception is one where the guests never leave the dance floor, and that's what Dan and Sgt. Brown Entertainment provided for us! Everyone we talk to said it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding, and we attribute that to Sgt. Brown for knowing our crowd, what they wanted to hear, and for keeping the party going.
From the first meeting that we had with Dan, he was accommodating, professional, and extremely catering to our vision for our big day. He responded quickly to emails and calls, was willing to meet with us as much as we wanted, and he took his job seriously. He told us that he had one chance to get it right, and we felt completely comfortable trusting him with that responsibiilty. And he didn't disappoint!
My husband and I are so thankful for Sgt. Brown Entertainment for their flexibility when the party went later than expected, for being at our rehearsal, and for making the music and sound one less thing we needed to worry about!

Daniel Brown and Richard Sargent were spectacular DJs and emcees. They catered to our wishes, kept everyone going, had a smile on their faces the whole time and made Matt and my dreams come true. Love them! Hire them! You won't be disappointed!

I honestly wasn't planning on having a DJ at my wedding, but I'm so glad we did! These guys were fantastic, they made our day perfect by working with our crowd and being super flexible with what our needs were. The only thing that was lacking was the communication, emails were a little touch and go but text and calling was great! Thank you guys so much for totally making our wedding epic :)

These guys rocked! We had a lot of kids at our party and had games to entertain them the whole time. It wasn't even told to them that they would have to do that. They just did. I loved the ceremony too! Everyone could hear the pastor and our vows. Perfect!

Sgt Brown Entertainment was perfect for what we needed and desired at our wedding. They helped us form our playlist and made sure that it was just how we wanted it to match the atmosphere we were trying to create for the reception. Things on our part were a bit last minute but they accommodated us so patiently, made the announcements smoothly and at the right times. We have no regrets for having chosen them as our wedding DJ.

Sgt Brown was the best!!! They were soooo on top of everything. They came to my rehearsal dinner, met with me a bunch of times and made sure I was comfortable the whole way through! I loved the photo booth they set up. My friends and family loved playing and taking pictures with all the props. Oh and the dancing went on forever! Tom and I were planning on sneaking off early to go on our honeymoon but decided to stay because we were having such a fun time. The up lighting Dan set up was breathtaking. I was surprised how fast he was able to set up all those lights. In fact I was surprised how fast they set everything up! One things that was very important to me was that my pastor was heard. I really wanted all the guests to hear every word. When the ceremony started, everyone was surprised to hear such a clear voice coming from speakers that were hidden and out of the way. Dan really made it a special moment by making sure the focus was on us. He told us that in our meetings over and over but I didn't really catch on what he meant. . He really did make it about us and for that I am grateful! Love their work. My sister already booked her wedding with them for next year! Definitely worth it!

Sgt Brown Entertainment and Sound was beyond my greatest expectations! Professional and sooooo helpful! I will use him again in a heartbeat!

We are so glad that we went with Sgt Brown Entertainment and Sound. We had an outdoor wedding reception and the speakers were placed perfectly so that everyone could always hear the music. We provided Dan with the songs we wanted played, and he accommodated us without question. Initially we told him it was going to be low key, with a receiving line and no dancing. Later on that night, my wife and I decided to dance a little bit, and when others joined in Dan was all over it and turned up the music a little, and adapted even though it wasn't what we told him would happen. If anyone is looking for a DJ who will accommodate them, go with the flow of your wedding then Dan is the man for you. He's easy to get a hold of. He set up well in advance so there was no stress beforehand wondering if everything would be ready. Dan was the perfect DJ for us!

I am very glad I choose Sgt Brown Entertainment and Sound to DJ my wedding. I got married at a Country Club on the 18th hole. They did an amazing job w/ having the speakers in areas where everyone that attended could hear. Our officiator wore a microphone on his suit jacket so everyone could hear. Our guests commented several times how great it was w/ the speakers and the microphone.
After the wedding ceremony that was outside we moved indoors and they did an awesome job with the transition from outside to inside.
Also, they did everything we had discussed. We were very picky and I was impressed with how Sgt Brown handled our wishes. They played the exact music we requested and everything went soo smooth. Couldn't have imagined my wedding w/out them! I would refer them to anyone!! You will be very happy w/ their services!!

We loved having Dan and Richard as our DJs. I thought it was really cool having them work as a team. The light show was our favorite part. They kept my guests on he dance floor all night long. I've never danced so hard in my life. When we left party was still going. They actually helped my other vendors out by giving them tips. We had a strict schedule planned out that got thrown out the window by unforeseen circumstances, Dan and Richard we completely flexible and even helped run the rest if the program. The guests never even new that things were crazy because they kept cool and calm. The price we payed was worth every dollar. We payed with credit card (which was awesome! Most other DJs wanted cash, which I thought was shady). They took the time to explain the contract in the beginning. I had absolutely zero stress when it can to these two. Oh and when we used a family friend for our slide show, the projector broke, they had a backup! Just amazing service!

Dan and Richard were beyond amazing! They put up with my long list of songs I wanted, played the correct ones at the correct times, and kept EVERYONE on their feet the entire time! My husband and I didn't even stop dancing until our own reception was over and we were planning on leaving about an hour before that.They went above and beyond what we were expecting. All I have heard were positive things from everyone and no complaints about a single thing. The lighting effects were great, and they were very friendly and set up and took stuff down quickly. If I were to go back and get married all over again, I would definitely still pick them. Thank you for everything you did!

I sat down with DJ Dan to tell him what I wanted for mywedding reception music, and I was probably all over the place – saying I wanteda vintage-old school-big band-crooners-type of vibe. He understood my vision immediately andoffered specific artists and song examples. Not only were my grandiose wishes fulfilled, but everyone at thereception was able to sing, dance, and enjoy the perfect mood-setting music.

My brother and sis in law wedding reception was super last minute and we were in tight budget due to our cultural wedding. Dan was great help at finding the right music, he was a fun dj! the night was amazing we got lots of complements from families and friends about the whole evening! i would recommend him to friends and family and would use his services in the future! :)
