Shalimar Wedding Chapel

Worst place ever! The photographer did not know how to take pictures....they took the worst pictures and then sold the two decent photographs to us at an insane price of 90 dollars....the only good thing about the place was the reverend, who did a good job. The bouquet was extremely small, basically not decorated at all...just a bunch of 6 dried out roses. They collect the tip for the limo driver and reverend from you before the wedding, which is insane. Even though the web site says its optional, they don't leave it as an option. The wedding area itself is very small, and can't accomodate even 15 guests properly. They say that the package includes 24 photos, but its basically 8 poses only, with three photos for each pose. Everything about the place was horrible, and my wedding day was ruined. It seems like its cheap, and you can save a lot of money on your wedding, but the service they provide is way cheaper than the amount you end up spending. Please avoid this if you want to have a happy wedding. I'm certain that the good reviews posted on this website are posted by the staff itself. Even when we spoke with them over they phone, they were extremely rude. The chapel is in a very shady location.

The Shalimar Wedding Chapel was perfect. It is a smaller venue inside the Howard Johnson but the staff was professional, the wedding packages were a great value and its just as nice as many of the chapels on the strip in the casinos.

The place was okay if you are on a budget like we were. once you are on site and in the moment the outside apperance doesnt matter. It was perfect for what we wanted, and everyone was very nice..

The shalimar was great we got married there this last weekend and the chapel was very nice the staff was so nice and helpful. We were supposed to get 18 photos on a cd and we got 23 and they where all so nice. Thanks again shalimar for making us so happy.

it was a beautifull cerimony outdoors in the gazebo!!! they could be more flexible concerning flowers and such, every bride has her own colors that make her wedding day special, and they have a very limited selection of flowers. but their pastor is excellent!! and the limo service wonderful, the staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help. i would definately reccomend this chapel to my friends, but bring your own photographer the pics they did were lovely but stiff and very basic.

My ceremony was at the Valley of Fire all arranged by the Shalimar and the entire experience was amazing. The location was stunning, the officiant was great and our stretch limo was awesome. The photo package was awesome!! The book is amazing and the photos just took our breathe away. Thank you so much for such a great experience.

We got married at the shalimar on 01/5/2008 and we thought the chapel and the staff were very nice. The limo that picked us up was amazing. Very happy with everything.
