Shallow Jewelers

We worked with Mike at Shallow Jewelers. Not only is he a great salesman (lol), but he gave us personalized service, knew us by name when we walked in, and not only is their business family-owned but they also do their own sizing and soldering work right there in the store. For those who aren't familiar, this is a HUGE bonus. No sending your ring away for 2 weeks to get sized or engraved. When my husband was shopping around for my ring, he was working side jobs at the time, he said he chose to get my ring from Shallows because of the attention and service they gave him compared to other places he visited. They send me updates for regular polishing and free jewelry cleaner. I will make future jewelry purchases here because I feel like they take good care of me!

Mike Mapes was a humorous, easygoing jeweler who gave us good advice and reasonable rates. He made us feel at ease, as we know very little about jewelry and are not typically people who make purchases of that variety. Did a favor for us – fused my wife’s two rings together even though the engagement ring was purchased elsewhere. We bought our wedding rings there and will probably make all additional jewelry purchases there. Entire staff seemed very friendly in a down-to-earth locally connected sort of way. It was important to us that we not go with a mainstream jeweler such as the much-ballyhooed Jared, and we received the personal attention we were hoping for.

Shallow Jewelers is wonderful because they offer personalized service. The work is done very quickly and efficiently. I was so impressed when they told me I could have my ring back in about an hour to get it resized AND soldered. The WHOLE staff there is so friendly and give you their full attention. Their honesty and willingness to ensure customer satisfaction far exceeds other jewelry stores that I have visited in the area.
