Shelby is THE BEST!!! She helped us from start to finish, with every detail of our big day. Shelby kept us on track and truly helped us create an event that reflected our personalities. She is highly knowledgeable and extremely easy to get along with. Shelby was also very accommodating and always available to answer our questions. We could not have asked for a better wedding planner. Thank you Shelby!

Overall, our experience with Shelby was fantastic and I would highly recommend her to any one. She was friendly, accommodating, thorough, knowledgeable and emotionally invested in the process. The only area I would suggest her to improve upon slightly is resetting budget expectations as changes are inevitably made throughout the process. I would also include her fee in the initial budget and provide both a base line budget and a budget + so expectations are established early.

We hired Shelby for her "Day of Wedding Service" Our church had a director that actually told everyone where to be when, which I'm sure Shelby could have done with ease. Our family friend did the flowers and helped with many decisions that a wedding planner is paid for in the months proceeding the big day. Shelby saw to it that the reception ran smoothly(after the grooms dear family arrived over an hour late from being lost) Our photograher Meg Baisden worked well with Shelby. The only thing I see that could have been better was to make sure that the staff from the venue prepared a nice selection of food that the bride and groom wanted to eat. There was much food left over(that the state of fla. does not allow the brides family to take home) yet the boxes prepared for the honeymoon night for the bride and groom were much lacking. Shelby has a sweet calm spirit and that was greatly appreciated on the wedding day:) I would suggest using her services.

Shelby Peaden was hired as our partial planner for my daughter's wedding for October 2 in Destin. Being from Atlanta, we needed her desperately for our planning. We valued her input on the various vendors we chose. Her recommendations proved amazing. She not only had to juggle the Mother of the Bride questions, but also the Bride. She handled both of us diplomatically and cc both of us in emails when necessary to keep us both in the loop. We even had conference calls with her on three different occasions. She was professional in every way! She was very reliable, responsible and quickly responded to my email requests or took my phone calls. Most of all, I liked her calming personality with her greatest asset being a good listener, but ready with many helpful suggestions when asked. She was extremely cost effective when comparing resources. Shelby was the reason we had such a magical wedding that ran smoothly with no flaws! We owe all the details of the pre- and day of scheduling mechanics to her extreme professionalism as our wedding planner. We were blessed that my daughter found her on the internet as a perfect match for our wedding needs!

My wedding would not have been a success without Shelby Peaden! Not only would it not have been as successful, but my stress levels would have been out the roof on the day of. Shelby is a very flexible individual that is always available to answer questions through emails and gives her opinion of what works best. In planning my wedding, it was difficult for me to envision what looks good with what. With Shelby, I felt confident I was headed in the right direction with her feedback. I also was planning my wedding from a different city. Shelby made my wedding planning seamless when dealing with vendors and venues. She even went to my venues to take pictures to help her and myself pick the best decorations. She coordinated the reception with the meeting planners at the hotel to make sure we utilized every bit of space. Shelby, had many tricks up her sleeve with decorations. Shelby was always responsive to our concerns and gave frank answers to any of our questions. Her suggestions proved invaluable and were reflected in what I consider to be a perfect wedding. The reviews from our guests were off the charts. Everything ran like a well oiled machine and if there were glitches, we were totally unaware of it. She was involved in every phase of the planning including the rehearsal dinner. She made our lives much easier and I would never recommend attempting a destination wedding without the help of a coordinator and I would choose Shelby again.

Necessary. Shelby is what is necessary in planning a wedding. I live in Mississippi and was planning a wedding in Santa Rosa. I knew immediately after speaking to Shelby over the phone that she was someone I would enjoy talking to over the next several months. She has a sweet personality and a calming disposition that brides everywhere can benefit from. She is very organized and detail oriented and was able to keep me on task. She also has a background in interior design which translated into the overall stunning design of my ceremony and reception.

The day of the wedding Shelby was worth her weight in gold. I have heard so many friends say they were too stressed on their big day and they were glad when it was over. I didn't feel that way at all. Shelby had all vendors ready and fielded all questions. I was able to live in the moment of my day and enjoy the special time with family and friends. I was also happy that my mother and mother in law were also able to live in the moment that day too. Spend the money to spend the time with loved ones...It is worth cutting back somewhere else. I felt like having a wedding planner was a bit of a luxury that I was relucatant to partake in at first...now I know it is a necessity... Make Shelby your necessity!

Shelby with Shelby Peaden Events was the wedding planner of my dreams!
She was always quick to respond via phone or email and even eased my mom's mind when she would call or email too. She had a lot of great new and fresh ideas, which we used a lot of for our wedding, but never pushed or encouraged anything that we didn't like. She sent me reminders of things that needed to be done and offered her help wherever she could. The day of the event she was very professional and handled all the unexpected issues without us ever knowing there were any problems. She was definitely worth every penny for her services and went far above and beyond what we expected! =)

I honestly don't think I could have planned our wedding without Shelby! I knew what I wanted, but had a hard time putting it all together, but Shelby did it without blinking! She is so creative!! We rented a venue that had nothing, we had to rent everything from the forks to the lighting. Shelby made everything flow together so smoothly. She has a fabulous list of vendors in our area! Wedding day was so enjoyable for my mom, myself and my wedding party due to Shelby and her assistant taking care of all the details. Our wedding day was PERFECT! I highly recommend Shelby for any wedding planning needs!

Shelby Peaden was by far the best decision my husband and I made while planning our wedding. Our wedding was of the destination sort, so I was getting a bit frazzled working with vendors that I didn't know. When Renee Armour with Two Fishes Artistry recommended Shelby Peaden, I e-mailed her right away. She was very patient while my fiance and I discussed whether or not we should invest in her services. Ultimately we did and didn't look back once!!!

She has a wonderful list of vendors that she's worked with and everyone that we worked with during our wedding was just fabulous. I was a bit sad to say goodbye.

Shelby has an eye for decor and has the best ideas. I wanted a southern, backyard wedding with the beach as a backdrop and she made that happen!! I felt comfortable enough to let her make some final decisions and everything turned out better than I could have imagined.

I would really recommend that you get in cahoots with Shelby if you want the perfect wedding day. She was better than we could have imagined.

Shelby was very professional and ready to provide services needed. Shelby's contacts, awareness of needs, suggestions, and competence in wedding planning put me at ease. She followed through, met dates, placed orders, decorated, hauled items, etc. etc. The customer's ideas are implemented and important to her as well. I can't express my appreciation for her knowledge and talents enough. I'm glad we chose her and would highly recommend Shelby Peaden Events.

I could not have done it without Shelby! She was excellent at keeping us on track and had a much-needed calming personality as I tried to plan a wedding from 300 miles away! Shelby really tied things together to ensure that our wedding day was both beautiful and flawless. She worked out numerous kinks as planning progressed to make sure all are wants were met. I do enjoy working as a photographer at the weddings Shelby is coordinating. I know that not only will the perfect details be just where they should be, but everything else will flow wonderfully as well. She understands your wedding vision and creates such magical moments that you will have to pinch yourself to make sure you aren't just in a wonderful dream. She is very professional and knows the business inside and out. Don't have a wedding without a planner, it is your big day. Allow someone else to make sure it's perfect for you!
