We were excited to work with the Sheraton North. We loved the ballroom and really like the wedding coordinator. Unfortunately, about four months before my wedding he left with very little notice and we were informed that he had left at one of the shows we had attended there. We set up a meeting with the new coordinator as well as the other coordinator, plus the Director of Sales and Marketing. We felt better, but were having some problems with consistency. So, then the chef left. We had to go for another tasting. By the time we got to the tasting, the new chef was gone! We were happy with the food and at this point were also working with the Hotel Manager. Between the new coordinator and the hotel manager, we were pretty happy with where we were headed. We had some minor issues with the AV people at the Sheraton getting back to us, but it ended up being to our benefit.
In the end, the day of was AMAZING and they went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smoothly and we had everything we were supposed to, PLUS MORE!! In the end, Nicole was a wonderful to work with and I would definitely go back again!

We were lucky enough to have Robyn Hinkey as our wedding coordinator and she was absolutely fantastic! Robyn listened to our vision for the wedding and provided unique solutions to make our reception the wedding of our dreams. She was also extremely organized and attentive. Anytime we had a question or concern, she immediately responded and resolved the matter at hand.... Even up to the day of the wedding. She was so sweet, friendly, and professional and I would recommend her and the Sheraton to anyone I know. The Sheraton was also a great value for the wedding packages they offer. Melissa was our Maitre' D and she was so sweet and fabulous too the night of the reception... She made sure all our stuff, gifts, etc., made it to our room and she even had desert, fruit, and cheese waiting in our suite for us (since we didn't get to eat any during the reception). Their packages are virtually all inclusive which makes wedding reception planning significantly stress and hassle free.

So I got married October 27, 2012 at The Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel and I could not have had a better experience. I worked with Robyn Hinkey and she was fantastic, she worked with me and helped me plan and make my dream come true. She was with me through the whole day, anything i needed they got for me. The food was AMAZING everything came out hot and fresh. Out of all the venues we looked at they offered everything we wanted and was well within budget. terrific job.

Although our original wedding specialist left one month before our wedding date, everything that was passed on went smoothly. We had a "courtyard" ceremony, which I had been worried about since it's not very common, but it was beautiful! Everyone was very helpful and nice. The only thing I would change is the dinners were served very late. I feel like people were sitting for a very long time before they could eat! Overall, I'd highly recommend!
GUEST

The Sheraton really went above and beyond!
On the wedding day, from start to finish, everything went according to plan and the experience exceeded my expectations. The guests ended up arriving to the reception early and the cocktail hour was opened early for them, including the open bar! The appetizers were just as great as the night of our tasting and there were plenty provided so that everyone had their fill. The bartenders kept everyone's drinks filled and actually anticipated what guests were having after awhile. Dinner was exceptional, the steak was cooked perfectly and the flounder was delicious. Rob O'Neil was our wedding coordinator and helped set up the room so that I couldn't believe the transformation. The whole wedding was a great experience. Even my husband who didn't want a big wedding, kept saying what a fun time he had and how glad he was that we held the wedding at the Sheraton. Another guest told me that our wedding was the most elegant she's ever been to. Honestly, I can't think of anything that went wrong at the wedding and the Sheraton wouldn't even let us pay for the extra hour and a half of open bar they provided. They anticipated everyones needs and made sure that a fun time was had by all!

The service was great, food was good. They helped make my day special. No complaints!

Although we had some issues with incorrect billing, the hotel worked it out and made our day extra special to make up for the issues. we had a fabulous day and the hotel catered to us, our champagne glasses were never empty, our complimetary overnight stay was fabulos as well. They really took care us. Our Wedding
was better than we could have imagined.

I married my husband at the Sheraton Baltimore North on Saturday March 24, 2012 and I can not express how AMAZING my experience was with the staff. My wedding was everything I hoped it would be and SO MUCH MORE! My event coordinator Joy went above and beyond anything I could have ever asked she helped me every step of the way on my day and I can not thank her enough. I highly recommend having your wedding at the Sheraton it was affordable, fun and overall excellent experience.

Rob O'Neill the wedding specialist and Deb Henry the maitre d" for my wedding day were terrific. they were very professional and meant my needs beyond my expectations. The ceremony and reception were flawless.

The staff at the Sheraton Baltimore North were outstanding. They were all very friendly and so easy to work with. They were always available for anything that we needed and were always willing to meet and very flexible with our busy schedule. The day of the event they staff was very organized and made sure everything their and all the other vendors such as our outside caterer, videographer, photographer, and DJ were taken care of and coordinated well together. Our evening turned out even better than we could have hoped for and that was in a large part to the great wedding staff at the Sheraton Baltimore North.
GUEST

We used Sheraton North for our reception. Started our meeting with Katharine Fichter but ended up our last meeting with Robyn Hinkey. We had slight difficulties with communication betweeen the switch over but in the end they did pull through with the event. It was quite pricy for what you get but we ended up chosing the Sheraton North anyways for the convenience of set up, cake, catering, venue and location all in one.
GUEST

We had some issues early on in the process with the Sheraton- the person we were working with left and we had trouble getting our messages answered after that. But on the day of the wedding they really pulled if off. They we so great and helpful that day (even with hurricane Irene raging outside). I'm hoping that our issues early on were just a fluke because on the day of the wedding they really showed they know how to run a successful event.

We recently had our wedding at the Sheraton in Towson in May 2011. We had our ceremony in the courtyard and the reception in Warfield’s in the evening. A note on the courtyard, it is shared between the Sheraton and another company. So just keep in mind that they need permission to use that for any event. Anyways, we actually went through 3 different Sheraton wedding planners over the course of a year due to turnover in their department. We made sure to get everything in writing and had follow up meetings to avoid any issues.
Despite the turnover, everything went smoothly on our wedding day. They were very accommodating throughout the whole planning process as well as on the big day itself. They closed the bottom road and coned off the courtyard entrances to the garage so no vehicles could come through during our ceremony. They had flowers they recently planted in the circle and they also removed all no parking signs, trash cans...ect.
As I mentioned before, the Warfield’s room was where we held our reception and cocktail hour. Everything was setup very nicely and accommodated our 130 people very well. I think you could get even more in there if you had to but it was comfortable with our amount of people. They also had a person from their event planning department there for us all night who helped keep things organized. They were thoughtful enough to send a couple pieces of cake upstairs to our room as well as a sandwich in case we got hungry late into the night. Very nice service!
Overall it was a great experience. They staff was very helpful, prices reasonable, and the hotel beautiful! There was at least 1 other wedding/event happening that day but we didn't notice a thing. We love their blue walls as backdrops for our pictures, and the koi pond and green leaves on the trees made a wonderful contrast to the brick buildings for our pictures and ceremony! We would definitely recommend this place to everyone. It was just so convenient to have the ceremony and reception in the same location. No driving back and forth, just straight to the party after the ceremony. Good luck finding your place and definitely consider this place to host your wedding.

We just had our wedding there and the Sheraton in Towson was really a great choice. The venue was perfect, the prices were very affordable and the staff was fabulous. I really have no complaints. We enjoyed the food and partied the night away. the after party at the hotel bar was also an added bonus. Hotel rooms are spacious and well kept. If you need a place for a wedding definitely check this place out......and ask for Katie....she did a great job for us and kept us stress free for the whole night.....which is big.

Alexis Henninger and Joy Conley were both soo wonderful and helpful!!! My wedding was exactly what I wanted and what I had!! I had a great expierence and would recommend both of them to everyone!

The wedding staff at Sheraton Baltimore were just great. I marked some items 4.5 just because there is always room for growth but when it came to customer service and responsivenes, I'd give them a 10. We experienced the changing co-ordinators, but i have seen that happen to another bride at a different venue so I was prepared for this and saved all communications and agreements to pass on to the new co-ordinator. Up to the wedding day I was a bit worried about how things might go but they all (the cook, the maitre D, the waiters, the co-ordinator, their Boss Mr. Osama (its hard to forget that name) came through with flying colors.
My maitre d, was just awesome. She helped out soo much I thought I was going to work her to death and she did it all with a smile. I really appreciate her. My last co-ordinator Alexis was very nice and responsive as well. The cake lady (debi cake studio i think) was just excellent, very accomodating and did more than I expected. She designed the cake just the way we wanted it. I loved my CAKE! Had a few people asking me for her info. The cook was also accomodating, I changed a number of things in the entree and sent a custom receipe for the rice and it was done (he could have added some more hot pepper to the rice though :) ).
Overall I had a pleasant experience and I am very happy with the way every thing worked out.

Anne Marie was great to work with! Although she wasn't my wedding coordinator until a few months before my wedding, she really helped me get everything organized and ready for the big day. She was a huge help and helped make our wedding one of the best days of our lives.

Over all, the Sheraton Hotel was a nice place to have a wedding ceremony and reception. The staff was very professional and polite, and the building as well as the surrounding areas were beautiful. We took pictures at Goucher College, which is 2 minutes away, and they turned out beautifully. There were however, a few issues. First, during the entire planning process, I dealt with FOUR different "wedding specialists." The first was fired, the second moved to a different location, and the third left for maternity leave. This would have been fine, had I been notified in advance that I would be dealing with so many different people. The result being, that I had to explain everything over and over to each one. The last specialist, Alexis, had absolutely no idea about any of the details for the reception, and acted like it wasn't her job to do so. She completely deserted us during the ceremony rehersal, and one of my bridesmaids had to help us set everyone up. If she would have been prepared, or even acted like she cared, it would have made a world of difference. On the other hand, our maitre d', Michelle, was phenominal. She was plesant and funny, and carried everyones belonging from the holding room to the reception room while we were being introduced. She also helped my mother carry all the wedding gifts back up to her room afterwards. There was also a fire alarm in the middle of our recption, and we were all evacuated for about 10-15 min. I'm aware this isn't the hotels fault, but when we asked for the reception to be extended for the missing time, they were not very happy to do so.
This is just me ranting, because I really was unhappy with the wedding specialist issue, but the hotel all in all was a plesant expierence. The cake (which comes with the wedding package) was beautiful and delicious, and it was very convient to have the ceremony and reception in one location. There are plenty of rooms for out of town guests, and they are very nice as well.

The venue is great, but the service is lacking. We went through multiple wedding coordinators and even had a change in wedding coordinators 10 days before our reception.
Our guests had a great time except for the mashed potatoes (which were a substitute that we were not aware of). However my husband and I were disappointed with our service. Our leftover cake was thrown away, our cards were left unattended after the reception in the unlocked ballroom. We ended up gathering our things and taking them up to the room ourselves when we were told we didn't have to worry about anything.
For the money we paid for this receptio we would not recommend this place to any future brides. I was caused alot of undue stress by our reception.
GUEST

Over all, our experience was satisfactory. The food was good, but a little over priced. The bar tender we got was really great and able to keep up with everyone. I did experience a change in coordinators which was annoying as a stressed out bride, but my replacements were pretty good about addressing my concerns. Make sure you fully understand the pricing before you sign anything, though. I had some unexpected costs (which wasn't anyone's fault) as the date of my wedding drew near. That being said, we had a very nice wedding and this was the only place I called that was willing to work with my budget.
GUEST

We had an excellent experience with the Towson Sheraton! Everything went very smoothly - I couldn't have asked for a better experience! We were slightly concerned when we found out that the wedding coordinator that we had been working with was no longer working at the Sheraton three months before the wedding - but Anna Marie was a more then adequate replacement!

Everything was beautiful, Anna Marie was the best!!!! Thank you everyone at the Sheraton that made my day so special!!!!

We had a wonderful wedding reception at the Sheraton Baltimore North. Our maitre d', Debbie, made sure that everything ran smoothly. The food and cake were great, and there was plenty of space in the Warfield's ballroom for our 120 guests. The only problem we had was in the planning stages. The turn-over rate for wedding coordinators was very high. We worked with five different people over the course of a year. The change of staff was handled well, and our file was kept up-to-date. Everything went smoothly for us despite the fact that our coordinator resigned the week of our wedding. For brides that are very anxious, the staff turn over at the Sheraton may cause a little stress.

Disregard the old reviews for the Sheraton! The current staff working there is amazing. Heather worked with us until we signed the contract and she was very easy to get in touch with and very flexible in terms of what elements of the reception we wanted to include (e.g. we only ended up doing one hour open bar) and very willing to price out all our options. After we signed Anna Marie was our wedding coordinator and she was great! She was very quick to answer all my questions via email (usually the same day) and was vigilant about double checking all our details. All in all the Sheraton's package was great - the food was tasty and easily modified to suit (e.g. less salt in the sauce), the room for the night-of was super convenient and having a maitre d' the day of was fantastic! She took care of everything from getting me water to finding family members for corsages. We ended up spending more on food than we had hoped, but the prices were still far more competitive than anything else we looked at.

The Sheraton Baltimore North is a beautiful site. However the wedding coordinator is a whole different story. We originally were working with a wonderful young lady but half way through our planning, she decided to go out on her own. The girl that we were left with was able to understand direction in terms of where we wanted things on the wedding day but come reception time she was down the hall at the other larger wedding. Upon entering the bridal room, we found out that half our wedding party was downstairs because no one directed them to the bridal room and because it was on the second floor, no one knew where it was. I only saw our "wedding coordinator" a total of three times during our entire reception. Our dj had to go and search for her on numerous occasions. My dad was doing his toast and no one from the staff even let us know. There was no attendant there when we cut our cake. Thank goodness we knew what we were doing. Overall, we had a beautiful wedding but that was only thanks to my ability to let things go not because the Sheraton upheld any of their side of the contract.

We had our ceremony and reception at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel. Overall, the experience was very positive. The staff was very responsive to all of our needs and requests. The Fitzgerald ballroom is beautiful and was perfect for our size reception (200 people.) The food was really good and they have options at all different price points. We were very happy with the responsiveness of the wedding coordinators (there were two different ones during our planning process.) Overall, definitely recommend! The only real hassle is that our final contract with all of the details needed to be revised about 10 times to get all the details exactly right, but everything turned out just as we wanted!

From our first inquiry regarding a free consultation all the way through to the forgotten item left at the venue, the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel has been an essential in our wedding planning. Their team of Banquet Managers and Captains, Wedding Specialist, Chef and Cooks, and Maitre'd guided us through everything we needed to make our big day spectacular. They offered helpful tips, tricks, ideas, and anything else I could possibly want. The food was amazing, the presentation was beautiful, all making for a great night that everyone has said they enjoyed! The staff at the Sheraton in Towson (including the Front Desk, Restaurant, Bartenders, Bellmen, etc.) went above and beyond and made our special day flawless! I highly recommend this venue!

I booked our wedding at the Sheraton a year in advance. Their wedding coordinator had left so we had to deal with the catering manager which was no big deal and was very responsive to our questions. Then a new wedding coordinator was hired so we began dealing with her. After a short time, she had to leave for personal issues so then we had to deal with another coordinator, which actually turned out to be 2 new people. So needless to say there were a lot of changes going on as I was planning my wedding, which led to some communication problems. For the most part, they are attentive to our concerns and any issues that came up. We did have some issues with being overcharged for some items, which would have gone unnoticed and led to us paying more than we had to but with me being a teacher, I looked over it with a fine tooth comb! When I told them of this overcharge, they apologized and fixed it. Then after that incident and everything was paid for we got a call saying we owed like $100 for the upgraded icing on our cake, which was like 2 days before the wedding. Honestly, I don't really know whatever came of that situation.
BUT, when the wedding day came everything was wonderful! Katie was there to get us whatever we needed, which was great! The food was amazing! At the end of the night, our things were taken up to our room for us and there was even a plate of food and cake since we didn't get to eat very much at the wedding. So, there were some planning problems along the way but when it was show time everything was great!

For the most part, the Sheraton was fantastic. Our original wedding coordinator, who left a few months after we booked, was WONDERFUL at working with us and coming up with a menu that would feed everyone without breaking the bank. She was very personable and promptly answered e-mails (sometimes within a few hours of them being sent)
After our original coordinator left, we worked with the new coordinators who were a little less organized than the original coordinator. We expected some transitional issues and weren't too bothered. The one major issue we did have, however, was helping them figure out how much we owed based on our original contract; initially the amount was too large, then some of what we paid wasn't listed, then the amount seemed too small. It took us pretty much the whole two months before the wedding to get it all fixed and right (via e-mail). At first, again, we were somewhat forgiving, but as time went by, it was a little bit stressful.
The day of the wedding, everything was great. We had a lot of support and help from various staff members, had a room to go to after the ceremony to chill out, and were treated really well. The food was great, the room was great, and our guests had a great time. We fortunately had no issues with our block of rooms or with miscommunication or anything else mentioned in some of the previous reviews. There were a few mishaps, including that the centerpieces we had provided were thrown out instead of returned to us as expected, but nothing major or heartbreaking. And again, everyone - and that includes us! - had a great time.
I would recommend the Sheraton to other brides looking for a Towson location at a decent price. I would encourage keeping careful records of payments made and payments owed - but I would recommend that with any vendor!

I booked this Hotel 10 months before my wedding. When I booked, the wedding coordinator had just left so I met with the Banquet Manager. The Banquet manager was very helpful and had us all very excited about having the reception at this venue. We were concerned about the construction going on at the hotel, but we were assured that it would be done well before our wedding. The prices were right and we booked. A few months passed and a wedding coordinator was hired, she was wonderful. She took the time to explain and LISTEN to everything that we wanted. She took detailed notes and assured us that everything would run smoothly. She was professional and followed up with us the same day with everything we asked her that she had to get back us on.
Then it all went down hill... The wedding coordinator had to leave for personal reasons, even though we were told she quit, the new wedding coordinators were the snobbiest, fakest, unrespectful people that I had met in the wedding business. We met with them and explained everything again, they rushed us through the meeting and left me with a horrible feeling. I had to reach back out to them to get the information in writing. They constantly forgot to update the payments that we made. With only two months to go, it was too late to book another reception site. We had put a hold on 25 rooms for the night of our wedding, and then come to find out they only booked us for 10 rooms since there was a golf tournament that same weekend. I had to call to get that answer, as no one called me to let me know.
The good thing, no one new about all the things that were messed up with the reception... There was still construction going on, the buffet tables were supposed to be outside of the room in a hallway but they were in the room ( I was told during the reception that it was my fault for not specifying-- even though I told EVERYONE I met with), our reception went until 12:30 yet the linens were all taken off the tables by 11:45, the staff yelled at my DJ for not being on schedule ( I specifically asked the DJ to be in charge of getting everything done, not the hotel--which I specified to them), we had additional desserts for $8.00/ per person and they were a joke, we were supposed to have additional bartenders at the hotel bar afterwards (only 1 was there), and my lovely wedding coordinators were no where to be found at 12:31.
GUEST

There were a lot of staff changes throughout my wedding planning process and I was told different things by different staff. It was also a bit frustrating with all the staff changes because emails were never answered and voice mails not returned because that person had either been fired or quit and no one updated me. In the end the staff did a good job and everything came together, but they still created a lot of unnecessary stress during our planning process.
GUEST

Until we signed the contract, they were really good but once we signed it and then it was really hard to talk to anyone.
But at the end of it, they did above our expectation.
GUEST

My husband and I held our reception at the Sheraton in Towson and everything was perfect. We had a personal assistant with us all day and was there for everything from directing us to where we had to go, timing, drinks and even helped when my bustle broke. We had a wedding of almost 250 people, which was nerve racking planning, but they made it very pain free.
GUEST

there were some staff changes, but that did not cause any problems. I would recommend getting your own coordinator, especially since staff changes seem to be the norm with this place. there were some problems with the room block (my fiance' had to keep calling to ask for more rooms be released - but they told us that in the beginning).
The guests really enjoyed the food. Overall, I would recommend the Sheraton, especially if you would like one-stop shopping: the contract included the cost for the wedding cake and the reception flowers.
GUEST

I'm happy to see that people who have recently used this site had better experiences than I did. Everything seemed to be fine until the coordinator went on maternity leave. When Abbey took over 2weeks before my wedding, the problems started. First she wanted me to change to their new wedding cake vendor. There was no way that I was going to go through another tasting with that short of notice. By this time we had paid the final balance. The day before my wedding, Abbey called to day that they had not received payment. They would only accept a certified check. I should have been notified much sooner since the final balance was due before 24 hours before the wedding. I was told that at the reception, which was in the Warfields ballroom, the guests would not be allowed to enter the section where the tables are. That didn't happen. My contract stated that there would he 2 bartenders. There was only 1 and this was not addressed by the wedding person assigned to us. She, I do not remember her name, was wonderful in every other respect. We reserved a block of rooms only for guests to be told that the hotel had no rooms available. The wedding coordinator was unable to do anything about this and contacting the GM of the hotel was useless. I wish I would have used a different site for my ceremony and reception. The food was great, that was the one good thing.
GUEST

We chose the Sheraton for our out-of-town guests, and for brunch after the wedding. They totally screwed me. They didn't save enough rooms, claimed it was my fault for not checking in with them every day, and after I sent out the invitations (all home-made) I had to scramble to find another hotel and email all of the guests. I begged them for one or two rooms more just so certain families could be together and they wouldn't budge. It was so ridiculous. I cancelled the brunch, and had it instead at the 2nd hotel. I was really looking forward to everyone being together, and it really broke my heart they way they handled it.

So great! They provided us with a special room just for the wedding party to 'escape to' and assigned a wedding coordinator to us who was at our beck and call the whole night. Everything was taken care of so well!
