Sherrie Long Makeup & Hair

Sherrie is a fabulous artist! Before the wedding, she was easy to communicate with via email, and the day of, she was on-time and ready at our remote location (despite the fact that I was running late and had given her the wrong address - oops!). But most importantly, Sherrie created exactly the look I wanted for my wedding, based only on a few photos and my very non-technical descriptions. The updo, a low chignon with sideswept bangs, was simply gorgeous - even more beautiful than I had imagined, especially once she placed the orchids my florist provided. And the makeup was perfect - I didn't even check it thoughout the night, except once, after my teariest moment - and it still looked flawless! I felt radiant, confident, and natural - exactly as a bride should - and it shows in our pictures.

Sherrie is, hands down, the best. Sherrie did my hair and make-up for my wedding this past Saturday, and I know for a fact that I have NEVER looked so good! My updo and make-up were flawless and stayed that way all day and all night (starting from her finishing time at 1 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. when I finally washed off the make-up and took down my hair), despite the hours of pre-ceremony pics in the 97 degree heat, the ceremony where I bawled all the way down the aisle, three dress changes, and countless hugs and kisses. I had chosen a particularly heavy hair comb, but Sherrie expertly secured it, and I never had to think about it all day. I received many compliments during the day that I always looked fresh and calm, despite the fact that everyone in the wedding party was sweating bullets - something in that make-up is MAGICAL! I never had to retouch my hair or make-up, and felt sexy, confident, beautiful, and most importantly, like the best version of myself - exactly how I had told Sherrie I wanted to look and feel on my wedding day. The wedding day hair and make-up was even better than the trial, which proved to me that Sherrie had really studied the trial pictures and listened to my comments so that she could create the perfect look. I went with an updo, and was so glad I did - it was classic, elegant, sophisticated, and romantic, without being prom-like, as many wedding updos often are. She also did my mom's make-up and hair, and I have never seen my mom look so lovely.

In addition to her talent, Sherrie is professional and very sweet. She always responded quickly to my e-mails, provided honest opinions when asked, and was willing to modify her contract to our agreed specifications. On the day of my wedding, I realized that I had forgotten to request a touch-up lip palette (which she needs to prepare in advance), but without even a thought, Sherrie just gave me the lip gloss she had used for me and wouldn't hear of me paying for it. So sweet.

Booking Sherrie is one of the best decisions I made during the planning process.

Awesome. I felt so beautiful and I am so thrilled with Sherries work. I didn't know how to explain to Sherrie exactly the look I was going for. I had it in my head and tried to piece the vision together with several pictures. The day of the wedding she totally got it and my hair was exactly what I had in my head.

Her team also did a great job with the mom's and bridesmaids. They all decided on their own the styles that they wanted and she made them all look so gorgeous!

Sherrie definitelly lived up to all the raves! she is truly a professional and does everything with easy and precision. My make up was so natrual, I felt raidant and everyone complimented on how beautiful my mom and I looked. Sherrie's assistant artist Suzzette did a great job for mom's hair and makeup as well. Highly recomended!

I loved both my hair and make-up! I wasn't able to do a trail because I decided to hire her last minute and she actually had a cancelation so she was able to do it. She did exactly what I wanted and it was better than I imagined it! Everyone commented me on my hair and make-up the entire night and even after the wedding. I still have people telling me how beautiful I was at my wedding. I highly recommend her cause she is great!

I absolutely love Sherrie’s work, and I’ve had the pleasure of having her do my hair and make-up twice! Once as a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding and, of course, my wedding. She arrived promptly with her team and did make-up and hair for me and my five bridesmaids. Best of all, she is super accommodating. My original contract stated that each bridesmaid would only get one service done; however, on the day of the wedding, one of the BM asked if she could get two services done instead. The other bridesmaids followed suit, and being her flexible-self, Sherrie and her team were able to accommodate our request. My entire wedding party looked absolutely beautiful!

Sherrie is very experienced; I was able to give her a few adjectives for the look I wanted, and she was able to run with it. I’m not used to having a lot of make-up on my face since I barely wear any on a daily basis. I wanted Sherrie to enhance my natural look so that I looked more put together, without looking overly done. The make-up did not feel heavy; it did not feel like I had layers and layers of make-up on; it felt like I was wearing nothing at all, which is the best feeling in the world! My make-up lasted the entire night (from 9:30am – 11:30pm), not once did I need to reapply (except lipstick). I received many compliments that night!

My hair almost made it through the entire night; one little piece of hair from the bottom fell out. But that was my fault b/c I had not grown out my hair long enough, but I don’t think anyone could really tell. She also made adjustments to my updo based on the trial we had to better suit the shape of my face.

I just received my professional pictures and looking through them re-confirms my love for her work; she did an excellent job making me and my bridal party look our best that day!

She is a celebrity stylist! That says a lot! She made me feel radiant! She knew exactly what I wanted and described my look as Jessica Simpson/Jennifer Aniston! Awww, exactly what I wanted to hear! She was a pleasure to work with and Nicoh loved her work! It is very hard to please DH with make-up! He is very picky on what he likes on me! Hahaha =p. I loved it. Everytime there is a party! I am calling her! She is great!! I love Sherrie Long!

Sherrie did my makeup and hair on my wedding day in addition to my five bridesmaids, two flower girls and my mom. We all looked fantastic and she was so professional, arriving on time and calling up to the bridesmaids' room without ever bothering me. She finished everyone on time even after two girls were late arriving and we had to squeeze in one more bridesmaid updo at the last minute. Her prices are rather steep, but she is so talented and professional, she is definitely worth it.

Sherrie is a true magician w/ the make-up brushes and bobby pins. Love, love, LOVE her!

Sherrie is absolutely AMAZING!!! She is VERY sweet and talented. My girls and I looked so good. I am so HAPPY that I hired Sherrie! For my trial, Sherrie made it very convenient for me by coming over to my house. She spent about three hours with me and made sure that I was happy with my hair and make-up before she left. We tried 4 or 5 up-dos until I was super satisfied. She was able to get my make-up to my liking the very first time, which was good. On my wedding day, Sherrie and her staff arrived at my hotel bright and early and on time. They worked on me, three bridesmaids, and three flower girls. My hair and make-up lasted ALL day from 11:00 am to midnight. My make-up went through a lot of crying, but it still looked spectacular even at the end of the night. My hair also went through a lot since it was quite windy in the afternoon when we were taking pictures outside. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised on how well everything held up. Overall, I am EXTREMELY happy with Sherrie. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. She will make anyone look gorgeous. I enjoyed working with her so much that I am trying to find a reason to use her services again.

So on top of her game! I was thrilled with the hair and makeup Sherrie did for my wedding. The makeup felt light yet was enough for photos. My hair and makeup lasted all night with out any problems. I would surely reccomend Sherrie Long.

Sherrie came before I was even awake! She got to my house on time, got everything setup and started at the 8 am mark as agreed. I had so many compliments on my hair and makeup like how natural my makeup was and looking great and so. For my hair, it stayed all day even after the sand storm (more later on). She made my mom and my MOH looked wonderful even though she had never met them before. She made all three of us beautiful.

I have never felt more beautiful than when Sherrie did my hair and makeup. She was friendly, reliable, & professional. I am a true hair and makeup junkie and thought no one could do my hair and makeup better than I could, Wow, I was wrong-she is incredible! I asked to see her clientel list before I hired her, and saw other photos of her work that werent on her website. She has made up celebritys and queen's so I thought she would have no problem with me (haha). I highly reccomend her.

I booked Sherrie simply on reputation because she won't book trials until 5 months prior to the wedding. I'm not remotely happy about that, but I've only ever seen one negative review, so I'm hoping she lives up to her reputation.

I loved Sherrie's work! Everyone (my bridesmaids, 2 mothers) looked amazing on my wedding day! I was very happy with my own makeup and hair. It was really easy to communicate with her (through e-mail, I nearly always had a response within the day) and her technique was perfect. She and her assistant were very nice and accomodating. She was also very patient and made sure that we were all happy with her work. I would definitely recommend her!

Sherrie and her assistant Suzette arrived on time and started working non-stop through lunch to get both moms, my sis and me ready. She's worth every penny! My mom who's so super critical of her hair & makeup was very happy on how it turned out. My sis who just had a baby 3 weeks ago looked like she's been sleeping through the night! I changed the top part of my hair a bit since the trial was still a bit too flat against my head and yet again, with just a pic of the style i wanted Sherrie was able to get it and still keep the classical clean look i wanted. when j saw me walking down the aisle he said he wanted to cry cuz i was looking so freakin beautiful and that the makeup just emphasized instead of making me look not me.

My wife used Sherrie for her make up and it looked fabulous!

By far my favorite vendor for my July wedding. Sherrie was on time, listened to me and how I wanted to look on the wedding day. She made me look better than I ever imagined. She was able to create a look that felt natural but looked great in photos, and my hair stayed in place all night, even with my very long day (we started at 5am!) Her team made the girls in my wedding party feel beautiful too

Sherrie Long was my make-up/hair artist on my wedding day. She was friendly and she was on time. Her work appeared professional in general, but certainly NOT as consistently good as I had expected from all the online hype about her. The make-up and hair looked kind of nice at first glance, but the hair could have been much better. There were strands of my baby hair that she forgot to tuck in for me, so I did not realize that certain strands of my hair were out of place until I saw my pictures which was too late. Also, certain hair sections were not symmetrical when I saw my photos, so she was not very consistent. Her assistant was definitely not up to par with one of my bridesmaids. By mid-day before the ceremony, my bridesmaid's mascara was already smearing off which caused stress for my bridesmaid. Since I had to retouch my hair on most of my photos which was a tremendous hassle, I am giving her 1 star instead of 2 stars. Sherrie's pricing is expensive which I don't think it's worth paying for the mediocre quality that I received. You can get a good deal with better level of skills elsewhere!

My sister got married in August and Sherrie was beyond our expectations. Her services was my gift to my siter and the memories and pictures will last a lifetime. We new we were going to be happy when we had the trials. Sherrie new exactly what we wanted despite our inability to explain it very well. We all had the best time and Sherrie was a very important part of our day. I wish I could hire her full-time to do our hair and make-up everyday! I highly reccommend her to everyone that wants to look perfect on their special day!
