My dress was beautiful. It was so beautiful. SO BEAUTIFUL. *sigh* I rented my custom-made dress so that it would be more affordable and I had to go to about 10 fittings, but in the end, it was all worth it. The look in my husband's eyes as I walked down that aisle. Unforgettable.

My dress was gorgeous. Be prepared to go in for a fitting every 3 weeks up until your wedding. My wedding was in October and my first fitting began in February/March. Also, sometimes the owner forgets what you want so make sure you continuously remind him! I wanted a modified A-line and he kept telling me he would give it to me, but as the dress was getting close to being done, I noticed it was still a full blown A-line dress. I mentioned it one more time and he then fixed it. That was about 2 months prior to my wedding.

My only real issue with my dress was that it was about an inch too long in the front. I had my final fitting a few days before and should have asked him to hem it, but he assured me that it would be fine. It was a problem during the day of since I kept stepping on the dress...especially during the walk down the aisle. The bustled train also prevented me from executing my dance lessons step by step. It was much longer than expected.

Overall, the style and quality of his work is great. I highly recommend his bridal salon. Just be very assertive w/ him. Shinbu lends out their crinoline, a darling shrug, hair accessories, veil and jewelry!

I loved how my wedding dress came out. I wasn’t sure if it was THE dress when I tried on the sample they had available when I first checked the place out. After many fittings (I think I had over 15 or so), the dress came out to be perfect for me. I loved how light it was throughout the day. The only part I had was how long the bustle was. I think I had my dress stepped on at least 6 times throughout the night.

I cannot rave enough about Shin Bu... after my dress maker cancelled my dress 2 months before my wedding because she was so busy setting up her own line (she should have known NEVER to take my order), I desperately asked one of my friends for a referral and I scheduled an appointment with Shin Bu. At the meeting, they took the time to listen to everything I had to request for the dress, measured me right away, and said yes to helping me even though their dresses typically take over 6 months to make. I had 8 weekends to fly/drive from Las Vegas (wedding locale) to Los Angeles to finish all required 8 fittings.

Every visit was more pleasant than the previous as we got to know each other. Each visit was a progress to a dress I had dreamt of. I loved how customized my dress was, even though it was ultimately a rental. Looking at my scoliosis and noticing that one side was higher than the other, the designer was awesome in actually making one side shorter - can you believe it!!!

No detail was spared: I got the veil I wanted, all the jewelry to wear for the night, the undercoat, everything. Nothing was spared, everything was drop dead gorgeous, if I should say so myself!

I love, love, love, Shin Bu and would recommend it to everyone who asks!

Oh, I forgot one detail that makes them even more of heroes to me! On the Thursday prior to my Saturday wedding, my bridesmaid was supposed to pick up the dress and found out that the electricity at their shop had gone out and so what did he do? He took my partly made dress, ran to his home to finish the dress, and had it back in time as agreed for her to pick up the finished product. AND, they didn't mess up/forget a single thing!

I LOOOOOOOOOVE my dress. I thought it would have taken me months to find the perfect dress, but all it took was one visit to Shin Bu. The ladies were great and helpful. Before going in there, I didn't know the difference between a trumpet vs mermaid vs a-line, so the lady walked me through everything. I had to be fitted three times, but that's because I lost a lot of weight before my wedding.

I would recommend this place to anyone!

Loved my rental dresses from SHIN BU. Mr & Mrs Seo were so friendly, nice, and accomodating. I had to keep my pre-wedding photo shoot dress with me for 1 month, and they were OK with that! The service was absolutely incredible. My bridesmaids fitted into their dresses for the first time the day before the wedding, and the next day, everything looked perfect! They had spent all night altering all the dresses. On D-day, we all went to the salon to dress up, and they were there making sure everything looked perfect, making last minute changes to the dresses as necessary. I just love their sophisticated design, impeccable customer service, and the lovely bridal shop. Highly recommended!
