Oh my Gosh! The cake was incredibly delicious and I am not a cake eater. To die for!!! Briefly explained what I wanted the cake to look like and she met my expectations and beyond. The cake design was unbelievable. Our wedding guests loved the cake. We could not stop eating it....after the reception. haha Signe is a very busy person but she will do what she says she will do! The bakery itself is unbelievable too. Great food and cute for a little bridal luncheon. We ate breakfast there too. Yummy! Quality food and desserts! Even prepared a luncheon cake with 2 day notice.

Signe was fantastic to work with! She made a gorgeous cake that was customized based on our wishes. It was delicious which is rare for wedding cakes. Her patience and assistance during the tasting was much appreciated.

We'd highly recommend ordering a wedding cake from Signe. She was helpful through the entire process, and took our ideas & delivered the most amazing cake! AND it was delicious - we had the Jessica Pink Lemonade cake. It was so good that there was none left - people were taking 2-3 pieces, and my Mom didn't even get a piece! We're already planning to go back on our 1-year anniversary to re-order a small cake for ourselves (and give a piece to my Mom). It was so fantastic that we stopped in the bakery the next day to thank her for our beautiful cake. And - she is very reasonably priced. We loved it!

Signe made the best pina colada cake for our wedding in Hilton Head that was not only beautiful, but absolutely delicious! Since our guests were traveling from Chicago area to SC, we wanted them to really enjoy themselves and the food! We wanted a smooth, nice-looking cake, but without fondant! She made the most perfect looking cake with the most smooth frosting ever!! All of our guests commented on how great it was! And Signe was very personable to work with! Thank you Signe!!

Signe is the best of the best for Hilton Head wedding cakes. Our cake was gorgeous, tasted amazing, and they were so flexible and great to work with. Looking forward to our next trip to HHI, and our anniversary so we can eat the last layer. They are busy and work kind of old school, mostly on the phone and a little email, but it works so I'm not complaining. They work with so many venues and are pros at what they do.

Signe made us the wedding cake of our dreams, it was everything we wanted and more. Typically wedding cakes that are beautiful don't taste all that great - our guests loved the cake and even took more than one piece. The price was very reasonable and the quality was amazing!

Signe's Bakery made our wedding cake and I cannot say enough good things. The entire process was wonderful - and the tastings were just the beginning!! We met at her famous bakery on Hilton Head Island and it was the sweetest place - very cozy and she serves great, fresh homemade food. We had cake and coffee for breakfast one day (but I would also recommend coming in for her shrimp and grits - just the best!!) and she sat down with us and went over some pictures. She truly has designed any and every cake imaginable and is able to custom just about anything. When I would call her during the months/weeks leading up to the wedding, she personally answered all of my phone calls (I tried not to call during lunch hours since her bakery is so busy then). During our conversations over the phone and the weeks leading up to the wedding, I went back and forth with between two designs that I really liked and she patiently talked me through the benefits and what would work best/taste best/look best - we made a decision and couldn't be happier with the end result. All of our guests loved the display (we had three cakes on our cake table for 170 people and it all got eaten!) and loved trying the different flavors that we encorporated in each layer of the cakes (we chose4 flavors - key lime and almond, chocolate raspberry, pink lemonade aka lemon cake with raspberry filling, and banana foster). Our buttercream frosting looked wonderful throughout the reception and the cakes were just delicious - thank you Signe for making our cakes!! Oh, and we saved the Key Lime Almond cake topper to eat at our one year anniversary, but we couldn't wait three days after the wedding. It was the best dessert as we celebrated our two day anniversary :)

Signe's made the most beautiful cakes for our wedding. They were delicious too! We had the All American chocolate cake for the groom's cake and the Jessica Pink Lemonade cake for the wedding cake. Both were wonderful. Highly recommend!!!

The cake was beautiful & tasted great! She definitely does great work. The communication could have used a little work. Sometimes I would e-mail and not get a response or it would take days. Typically I did better communicating by phone. I was a little weary because I lived 4 1/2 hours away & set up everything by phone/email, but the end result was a beautiful cake that was delivered right on time!

Signe's Heaven Bound Bakery is the BEST! We ordered both our wedding cake and our "day after brunch" food from Signe and could not be happier! Signe is so talented! Our wedding cake was adorable and it tasted AMAZING! Mmmmm, a piece would be great right now! Signe will sit down with you, ask you what you are looking for, memorize it, and have it ready for you on the day of your event. She listens to you and provides you with her suggestions and recommendations and makes your event flawless. I highly recommend her food while you are down there as well...it is delicious. When you visit her Bakery, you feel like you are back home for a home cooked meal and fresh baked goods. She is the best!

Our wedding cake from Signe's was absolutely beautiful and delicious. Given Signe's reputation on the island, I expected her pricing to be way out of our budget. Not only did the price fit right within our budget, but the quality of the cake--taste, decoration, delivery--was impeccable. She worked with my florist to get the flowers we wanted for the cake, so that was one less thing to worry about! The experience was great and I would absolutely recommend Signe's to any bride!

Signe made the groom's cake for my son's wedding in the Lowcountry. She is a sweet sweet lady to deal with but the cake was supposed to have a particular school logo on it (College team) and when it arrived, it had a RIVAL school's logo on it. We thought at first that it was a joke, but it was a HUGE mistake. Luckily, the place where we had the rehearsal dinner swept it away and came back with the proper college logo!

Signe made me the most incredible cake for my wedding. It was not only beautiful but tasted so very good. Everyone loved it!!

We worked with Signes through our wedding planner so we didn't seem to run into any of the issues that the other brides seemed to. The cake looked beautiful. It was exactly like the picture we had sent her. Our parents actually did the cake tasting and suggested the flavors. The small piece we shoved in each others mouths tasted good. Everyone seemed to like it. Can't wait to try the top layer at our 1 month. (Signes told us how to store it and suggested only waiting 1 month).

While Signe's cakes are amazing and we received many compliments on them, we didn't get what we ordered. The groomscake filling was wrong, she miscalculated the number of people the sheet cake would feed, made cupcakes to make up for it and then tried to charge us for the extra cupcakes. The wedding cake was the wrong filling and cake flavor on two of the layers. Again, her cake is amazing!!! but you definitely have to stay on top of her when it comes to getting what you ordered.

Signe creates masterpieces!!! Not only does she listen to what you want in cake design, she delivers EXACTLY what you ask for!!! Our cake was more beautiful than we could have asked for. All of our guests thought the cake was fake! And the venue was insistant that the icing was fondant - however, it was BUTTERCREAM - yum! In addition, all of her hard work on the design, the taste of the cake was magnificent! I've never had a cake taste so good! Trust me, we will be ordering a cake by mail in the near future and for years to come!!!

Another plus is that the cake inspiration was done in fondant and Signe achieved the smooth look with butter cream! Amazing!

Maybe its too much to do a fantastic job at a cafe AND run a wedding cake business? I have to echo the other reviews that Signe runs her business a little differently than what I expected. She doesn't use spreadsheets and computers, which can be unnerving. She instead, writes everything down on a 3 x 5 colorful index card, and you have no way of knowing what will happen to your cake and your ideas once you leave her shop. Also, after looking through her binder of cakes, we chose a specific design with separated/displaced tiers. We did NOT want a traditional stacked cake. However, we got a traditional stacked cake. We also had leftover cake, and Signe did not provide any additional boxes for us to take home the leftovers. For the most expensive cake I'm ever going to buy, I definitely wanted to take home the leftovers. For the brides and grooms out there: Please make sure, no matter who you work with on your cake, that they commit to bringing boxes to take home the remaining cake, especially the top layer for your 1 year anniversary!So, all in all, the cake looked nice, but it wasn't what we asked for and we were left scrambling at the end of the reception to box up the cake. The taste was phenomenal, but that's just one aspect to the overall experience. If you can just let her run with it, you'll be in much better shape. But don't forget the boxes! :)

Signe is highly respected on the island for her abilities as a baker and an artist. The cake that she created for us was beautiful and absolutely delicious. Everyone raved about the cake! However, the process working with Signe was unorganized and a little nerve racking. I secured my date with my credit card number written on a little sheet of paper (no contract) and then called later to discuss details and she again wanted to know if I wanted to secure my date. Who knows where she wrote the first number or where my credit card number is in that bakery. We thoroughly discussed design details and while the final cake was beautiful it was not exactly what we discussed. The brocade design had elements that I had not wanted and she placed flowers where I said I did not want them. Signe never once returned an email that I sent and I usually had to call multiple times to get a response. Signe's product is excellent, but she is disorganized and really difficult to communicate with.

I have mixed feelings about our cake. We used Signe because we have been going to her cafe for years and her food always just tastes amazing. You really can't get better food on Hilton Head Island. We met with her about a year beforehand to make sure she had our date free and then were in touch a few times throughout the planning process before the wedding day. She clearly didn't like the site where we were having our ceremony and reception and asked us a few times if we wanted recommendations to change it. (Note - We had already signed a contract for our ceremony/reception and the site was PERFECT! I don't have a single complaint about them.) It seemed like she had old some problem with them and wasn't happy about it. She also never returned emails and I always had to call the cafe. When it came to our wedding day, we had two cakes - bride's cake and groom's cake. We had different flavors in the tiers of the bride's cake and they were put in reverse order. The groom's cake was supposed to be a design and was pretty disappointing. HOWEVER... both tasted amazing and our guests have STILL been raving about it! Overall, I would recommend Signe. She may be a little grumpy and not the most organized but she is creative and an amazing cake baker. And you can't beat her prices!

Signe's was recommended to us through my aunt that lives in Hilton Head. When we first met with Signe and went over cake ideas we were so excited with the way that the meeting went and couldn't wait to see how our cake was going to look. The day of the wedding Signe called to inform me that there was an issue with the cake. The original cake was suppose to be square, but instead she said that the cake was round. At some point during the set up process Signe came and set up the cake and left without letting us know that the cake was there. When I came in to look at it I notice alot more was wrong than just the shape of the cake. The monogram that we had picked out was not on it and each layer was suppose to have a ribbon with a bow. The ribbon was there, but no bow. My mother instantly picked up the phone to contact Signe but was unable to get in touch with her until the following day. Signe did apologize and did not charge us for the cake, but for such a big part of the wedding day to be messed up was very disappointing. The cake did however get great reviews from our guests that didn't know that the cake was wrong!

Signe's topped off our wedding with the best wedding cake. Not only did she nail what we wanted, she was down to earth in our meeting with her prior to the wedding. She not only made time for us during the busiest time of the day, she didnt make us feel rushed. The wedding cake was delivered on top and in perfect display. The pictures of it were awesome that were taken.

Signe was awesome! We took her a few pics with ideas of what we wanted and she made us the PERFECT cake! It was soooo yummy and we couldn't have been more pleased.

Signe was a dream to work with, especially with a bridezilla like myself. She made the cake of my dreams. It was exactly what I asked for and tasted out of this world.

We ordered Wedding cupcakes and a small coconut cake for our wedding from Signe's Bakery.Some of the cupcakes had peanut butter, raspberry, or chocolate fillings. They were very yummy! Signe is very professional and dependable. Her cafe on Hilton Head Island, SC is wonderful for breakfast and lunch...and sweet treats.

Signe is VERY hard to get in touch with. She asks for you to communicate through email, but responded to only ever other email I sent. And even then the response was slow. If you need to speak with her urgently, pick up the phone.The cake wasn't what we asked for, though Signe's not to blame. She worked directly with our florist, A Floral Affair, and they didn't give her the flowers to match the picture we provided.In the end, the cake was good but a little dry. Delivery to our reception was a "piece of cake." On time and no hassle for us.

Signe's cakes are wonderful. The finished cake was beautiful and delicious. Signe, herself, is wonderful to work with.
