Debbie and her daughters/team are awesome. They sit down with you and help you pick out the perfect centerpieces and flowers for your big day. Debbie answered all of my questions, helped me with my concerns, and made sure I was completely satified.

Silk Thumb helped make our wedding a true fairy tale. Every little detail they helped us think through and make happen. If I could rate over a 5 on all of these categories I would. I can't wait to use them for the next event we have. We are blessed to have had them being such a big part of our wedding.

Being a guy reviewing flowers seems a bit silly - as I was very skeptical about silk flowers for the wedding. But I'll have to admit, they did a fantastic job for our wedding in Chicago. My wife's family is from Michigan, so we decided to save some money on fake flowers at the Silk Thumb and "fake" doesn't do their work justice. All the wedding bouquets and boutonnieres were silk, and no one knew the better including a few bridesmaids. Added bonus? We had the flowers a month in advance and knew exactly what they'd look like on our big day - no worries about flowers not looking right hours before the wedding. The staff at Silk Thumb were incredibly nice, listened to what we wanted, and had some great suggestions to make everything perfect for our wedding.

Being from the Downriver area there aren't too many options for a florist and wedding decorator in one place which was the main appeal of Silk Thumb. Unfortunately the services weren't really something to brag about. I left messages 3 times and got no response, I had to call and hope I got someone to get any kind of response. They are a bit pricey, but being one of few in the area can get away with it. The quote I was originally given was different from the one they had on file when I went to put down the deposit because the girl forgot to add something in but never bothered to inform me of that. The table coverings I picked out for the head, cake, and card table were not what was used the day of the wedding. Lastly, I was told the toss bouquet would be a smaller version of the bouquets my bridesmaids carried when it was only 2 of my flowers taped to a wooden stick with a few ribbons hanging from it. I would recommend for people to shop around before settling with them like I did. The positive I will say about them though is that the decorations did turn out nice, the bouquets (toss not included) were lovely, and they made sure to return a card that was stuck in the cardbox we rented from them.

They sat down with my mom & I two to three times. They never had any problems, complaints. They listened and reponded and did everything we dreamed and wanted. The day of, everthing was beautiful every detail was awesome. Its the quality of their work, its a familiy owned business that everyone should use. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! The phone conversations, I planned everything from Massachusetts and only saw them when I would fly home. They are also very quick to respond to emails too!!! And very affordable! And still gorgeous :)

They sat down with us for over an hour to talk about our vision. They supplied us with 7 bouquets, 13 boutonnieres, and 4 corsages. Jennifer had so many great ideas and completely understood the look I was going for. The flowers looked beautiful when they arrived even though I never saw a preliminary arrangement (didn't have time to go to Wyandotte nor did I want to pay for mock-up so I trusted them). They handled all the final arrangements/details over the phone and were always very prompt and courteous. They didn't try to talk me out of anything like the more expensive florists had tried to do. (Was told I couldn't get Dahlias but Silk Thumb said it wouldn't be a problem and they delivered!)Loved my experience with them!! Definitely will go back to them with future needs! They are a very good deal!! My local florist wanted almost double of what I ended up spending.

Silk Thumb did the centerpieces for my bridal shower and reception. They were absolutely beautiful. All we had to do was explain a theme and a little bit about us and they took it from there. It was perfect! They also made an absolutely beautiful bouquet for me. It was exactly what I imagined my bouquet should look like and I didn't even have to tell them. Debby, the owner, is amazing and a pleasure to work with. We did a destination wedding and she knew we wanted to keep the costs down for the reception and took care of us better than we had hoped! I loved all of my vendors...they made what should be a joyous occasion, truly joyous and beautiful! Thank you so much.

We used Silk Thumb Florist for centerpieces and decorations for our wedding shower and reception. Everything was perfect! I really enjoyed working with Debby for the reception details. She was amazing! She caught on to what I was interested in and looking for even before I did. She even made a beautiful bouquet with no direction from me which almost brought tears to my eyes because it was so perfect! I really enjoyed working with this vendor! They even helped us keep costs down in many ways! Thank you so much for not just thinking about your bottom line but mine also. I look forward to finding reasons to work with them in the future.

Silk Thumb Florist was the worst customer service I have ever had. They were the first florist that I interviewed because the venue I used had recommended them. I had my wedding at the Westin at Metro Airport and I did not need too many flowers for that reason. I wanted more candles than anything. They wanted to charge me an additional $300 not including supplies to put candles in the pond and they wanted to charge me $500 for a delivery fee even though it would have been basically a flower delivery because all I needed were my bridal party flowers! They also promised to give me a quote by the end of the week it took them over two weeks and then the owner gave me the excuse that I know it is expensive for the delivery so you may not want to do it! Which I took that she felt that she wasn't making enough money off of me!
I even informed the Westin of how rude they were. I would never recommend them to anyone. They are only interested in people who want to spend thousands of dollars on their flowers!

All I can say is if you do not hire Debby, you're missing out. Aside from being one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, she is an amazing floral designer. A++++

Silk Thumb Florist did an amazing job with our wedding flowers. Everything was deliverd to the right place and at the right time, which was tricky with our large bridal party. The bouquets, bouts, and corsages were beautiful and very fresh. The flowers at the hall and church were beautiful too. I loved their use of candles too. The flowers on the cake were gorgeous too. I would recommend themto anyone. Very friendly and helpful during our visit. Were able to be within our budget too.

Debbie and her girls were awesome to work with! Flowers were absolutely gorgeous! The flowers were delivered right on time and were breathtaking. Thank you for making our day truly beautiful.

My husband actually picked the florist and I was thankful because they did an awesome job. Jen and her mother are wonderful to work with. Although I had my wedding in October 2008 I still refer people to them because of the great job they did. We also got out wedding cake topper and floor length linen for the reception from them. I even got to sample my cake at their location. I love Silk Thumb!

The questionable part was the trial, but never fear, Kate the DOC was near and made a quick call to be sure we were all on the same page. Everyone was commenting on the flowers and I was really pleased with how they all turned out! All the flowers looked really fresh and nothing wilted for days. The staff there is really unbelievable and make you feel so welcome as soon as you step in the door. They are located in Wyandotte but will travel wherever. I highly recommend them!

We had a wonderful experience with Silk Thumb Florist! Debby and the rest of the staff were awesome! They sat down with us and helped us pick out exactly what we wanted and did a beautiful job decorating the hall. We were so pleased with them! They even decorated our wedding cake with gorgeous flowers! We were so happy with tbeir customer service we even bought our wedding invitations from them! I cannot say enough good things about Debby and her staff! We would definitely use them again!

Silk Thumb Florists were one of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding. I couldn’t have been happier with their service and products. The consultation with Dawn was very helpful; she went at lengths to discuss what I liked and didn’t like and had great suggestions. The prices were comparable to most of the other florists I had visited, but the service and quality were above the rest. I highly recommend Silk Thumb to any bride-to-be for her big day.

Our cake was a four layered yellow cake with raspberry filling and white frosting. We also had flowers between the layers. It was absolutely beautiful and tasted great. We got a lot of compliments on our cake. We also ordered a groom's cake that was german chocolate and much smaller than the wedding cake. That was also very pretty and tasted amazing.
