What primary photographic style do you identify with?

What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?

No

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

With a strong background in graphic design, I like to offer a variety of special effects to photos and can work with the client to provide specialty products and effects they might have in mind.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

I prefer to work with available light, using the ambiance of a room to capture the mood. I use an on-camera flash for lighting situations where it might be needed.

Is your media preference film or digital?

I work entirely with digital cameras, equipment and post-processing.

How many photographers do you work with?

At the moment it is just myself, but I sometimes will bring a second shooter.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

I will not normally book more than one wedding in a day, but might schedule additional weddings in one weekend if the time and location allow.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

I have connections with several photographers who I can contact if necessary.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

Normally I like to have at least one camera, and will often bring a second camera and a variety of lenses, as well as a flash and any other equipment I might find necessary, such as a tripod.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

If I have a second camera available I will bring it, along with any extra lenses I have.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

I like to work to the specifications and needs of the client. I offer packages and pricing for both situations. Anything from 1-4 hours can be billed hourly, if needed. Time in excess of 4 hours (up to 8) is considered a full day.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

I try to take my breaks and check equipment during slow times throughout the day.

Do you charge for travel?

If travel beyond 15 miles is required I charge $.25/mi.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

2-4 weeks

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

I post the digital proofs on my website and contact the client to let them know when they are available.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

The online proofs are kept on the website for 90 days, after which they may be deleted unless previously agreed upon.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

All copyright remains the property of the photographer unless otherwise discussed and released on an image by image basis.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

I may use any photos as part of my promotional material or portfolio.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

I can offer digital files in a variety of resolution types. They are not normally included in the original fee but can be purchased from the photographer when needed.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes, they will be posted to my website and a link will be emailed to you. The gallery can be password protected if needed.

What kind of albums do you offer?

I offer a variety of traditional and contemporary albums, featuring custom designed flush-mount albums through different printers. To find out more about the variety of albums we offer you can send an email.

When will the client get the final album?

I can take anywhere from 2 weeks to a few months, depending on the album option chosen.

Additional Advice

Do you have photos of entire weddings that I can see?
You can send me an email requesting to view a gallery and I can show you an online proofing gallery from a previous wedding.

Do you have references I can call?
I can send you the names of a few previous clients if requested.

How many pictures will you take?
As many as are needed to capture your day. Usually between 500-1200
