Skytop Lodge

We chose the Skytop Lodge in the Poconos for our honeymoon, after hearing wonderful reviews, and were thrilled! It is quiet, elegant, and stunning. The grounds are gorgeous, with lots of places to take quiet walks and relax on the back porch on rockers. There are also plenty of daytime and evening activities available if you prefer a more structured experience. We were there over July 4th, and they had a great fireworks display on-site. The food was all included, with lots of options (sit down restaurant, casual deli, or room service all included). We loved the room service meal even more than our fancy sit-down dinner! A great, relaxing honeymoon experience.

My husband and I spent the greatest portion of our honeymoon at Skytop, a resort in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. This is a beautiful, timeless, bur pricey resort that my family used to visit every summer when I was a kid, so it was only natural that I would want to spend my honeymoon there too. As it turned out, we stayed there during the off season, so we were one of only a few groups staying there at the time. This meant that we had the entire place practically to ourselves, which was perfect for a romantic honeymoon! The resort is primarily thought of as a golf resort, but there was plenty else for us to do: hiking and mountain biking on miles and miles of trails, swimming, playing games in the game room, relaxing on the porch and in the gardens, plenty of good food, and of course spending lots of time together in our room!

For an elegant wedding in a spectacular location... Skytop has it all. I have officiated here often and the level of professionalism and attention to detail is 2nd to none.
Skytop is truly amazingly beautiful.
