Slice at a Time

Heather with Slice at a Time was a joy to have making our cake and groom's desserts for our wedding! We had a fall wedding and wanted a couple mini seasonal desserts in lieu of a groom's cake, and Heather came up with some great choices and executed them perfectly! Our guests still talk about the mini pecan bars. Heather was always very easy to get in touch with and even let us borrow her cake stand for our reception. Our wedding cake was moist and delicious! Slice at a Time has many different varieties to choose from. We found our wedding cake design online and Slice at a Time had no trouble recreating it. I would highly recommend Slice at a Time to any future bride!

Slice at a Time was one of my favorite vendors to work with!! I live out of town and Heather was very flexible and easy to work with in coordinating our schedules to meet. Once we were able to meet, she was so in tune with my wants and needs! I described the cake I had pictured in my head and she immediately knew what pictures to show me. She was able to put both mine and my husband's styles into a cake and it turned out amazing! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how artistic/beautiful our cake was and how delicious each layer was! I'm not usually a fan of banana flavored anything...but Heather's Bananas Foster cake blew my mind. The other flavors (on separate tiers of the cake) were equally amazing but the banana surprised me the most. I would definitely recommend Slice at a Time for anybody with a simple sweet tooth or in need of an intricate special occasion cake! I'll be visiting Marketplace Cafe for another slice of that Bananas Foster cake in the very near future!!

The cake Heather made for my wedding was like something straight out of a wedding magazine. It was beautiful, classy, rustic, elegant, and exactly what I envisioned but better! One of the hardest decisions I had to make while planning our wedding was choosing only 3 of Heather's endless amazing cake flavors! My guests gushed about the taste and texture, and my hubby and I enjoyed the leftover cake for over two weeks! It was still incredible after two weeks in the refrigerator! Heather's gorgeous creations are only matched by their taste, and I can honestly say I've never had better cake or seen one so beautiful and clean that wasnt on TV. :) I would never hire another baker, and I can't wait to dive into our top tier on our anniversary!!!!!

I just can't say enough good things about Heather. When we first met for our appointment we really did not know exactly what we wanted but Heather was so amazing at taking our suggestions and building a beautiful cake for us. The cake had amazing flavors that she suggested to us. When the cake arrived I really could not believe how beautiful it looked. Everyone at the wedding couldn't believe it! I had several people to tell me it was the prettiest cake that they had ever seen. Brides ,you need to call Heather and check out her cakes and prices as I will definitely will be calling on her again. Thank you so much for making Kourtney's wedding a success!

The cakes Heather created for my daughter's wedding were absolutely perfect, as wonderful to eat as they were to look at. She was so easy to work with, and able to create just what we were envisioning for the cakes. I am not a big icing fan, but her buttercream icing is AMAZING. Her cakes are from scratch, no box mixes... my son-in-law had requested a red velvet cake for the groom's cake and said it was the best he had ever tasted. When Heather invited us for a tasting while we were in the planning stages, I remember trying the red velvet (a cake I've never really liked) and was amazed that even I liked it. Will be calling her again when it's time for a special cake.

Heather at Slice at a Time is amazing!! She is so talented! Her cakes are all made from scratch and taste delicious! She is such pleasant to work with and very detail oriented, making sure you have exactly the cake you want! I will definitley be using her again for all of my cakes!

Heather made sure that I got the exact cake that I asked for. She really listened to what I wanted and gave me the unique wedding cake of my dreams. I am still getting compliments on the cake when friends mention my wedding.

Heather Petersen with Slice-At-A-Time is absolutely AMAZING! She was a pleasure to work with. My wedding cake was unique and she worked with me to create the perfect cake and icing that I really wanted, maintaining the look and design of my cake. She also made the Groom's Cake (got a military discount too - so thankful), which was probably the most talked about thing at my wedding. Yes, it involved Reeses Cups. She is sweet, extremely talented and competent, and provides a great value for top of the line services.

Grooms cake was wonderful. Exactly what we asked for and wanted. Brides cake I was a little dissappointed with. We agreed on white cake, strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. I got all those things, BUT the cake seemed a little too done and dry, you really couldn't even tell or taste the strawberry filling and then the details we had agreed on were a little different. i never asked or wanted pale pink detail or flowers on top of my cake and that's what i got. but overall, she was very kind, helpful and flexible. i would reccoment her again... maybe my cake was just a one time mess up. her cakes we tried on tasting day were delicious.

and to clear a few things up after talking to her, the flowers and color on the cake was a misunderstanding. noone to blame.

all in all i'm still pleased with her work and would use her again and recommend her

Heather was a blessing. She created a fabulous wedding cake for my small wedding. Everyone said it was the best cake they had tasted, and it made my special day that much more special. She also was very flexible with my schedule, and professional. Now I buy miniature "cakelings" from her to mark our anniversary, that look like a miniature of our wedding cake.
