SoCal Sweeties Mobile Makeup Artistry

I just want to write this for any bride that is conteplating makeup. First of all, the worst experience I had was at my sister's wedding. There were 4 bridesmaids and my sister, the bride, who thought it would be great to go into the mall to get our makeup done the day of her wedding since it wouldn't cost so much. That was a big mistake. We all tried to make appointments at the same makeup counter (MAC) and the problem was that they only booked two appointments each hour and didnt start their appointments until 11. When we got there, it was not one on one service, and the counter was extremely busy that day. We had different girls at different places all trying to get done at the same time so we would be in time for pictures. Throughout all of this I met Dawn who was a manager for MAC Cosmetics at the time. She told me she had a mobile makeup artistry service so I took her number and used her for my wedding. All I can say is that the girls, still, to this day, talk about their make up and we have referred Dawn several times since my wedding. She showed up on time and timed it perfectly so that there was no stress and all of us were ready way before picture time. The photos turned out awesome, and she was so affordable- I thought when I had my trial with her that there had to be a catch or SOMETHING. The prices included a lash application and the makeup lasted till even after the wedding was over, which was a lot of hours. This girl is so sweet and is a genuine person. My total cost for myself and 5 bridesmaids was $425, which I felt like I was cheating her for the service being provided-she has tons of experience. So I just gave her a huge tip and a good review! I'd use SoCal Sweeties and Dawn for any special event in a heartbeat.

I am happy to review SoCal Sweeties and give Dawn and her team 5 stars. I still am so very happy that I didn't go into the mall with my bridesmaids the morning of my wedding, like I had planned to do. My friend was getting a trial for her wedding and I ran into Dawn at that time because she was then a manager for MAC Cosmetics. She told me she had a mobile makeup artistry service specializing in bridal looks and I thought it meant it was going to be out of my price range. That was not the case. Dawn came to me and accomodated myself and 4 bridesmaids at 8am at the hotel we were staying at with more makeup I had ever seen in my life :) She even brought a pedicurist with her, and I was able to get the makeup and pedis for under 100 for each of the bridesmaids as their gift from me. I paid like $150 for me and that included the trial. I clear as day remember Dawn doing my trial. She said if you like it, book it. If you don't, you can walk and there wont be a charge. After she did my makeup , I was really happy because she understood exactly what I wanted and didn't make me feel overwhelmed with too much makeup. I booked with her right away and would recommend her to anyone. She's got alot of experience.

I give SoCal Sweeties Mobile Makeup Artistry an A++++++++++! Dawn is one of the best make up artists in the LA/OC area. Wow! What an amazing talented artist Dawn is. She made my wedding day so special. She is extremely professional and I highly recommend her. She has everything you need to make your special day unforgettable! May I suggest a consultation with her as soon as you know your getting married as this girl books up quickly.

I can't believe I was so close to hiring someone else! Fate had it that when I was scheduled for my makeup trial, the makeup artist had a family emergency. My wedding was only a month and a half away and a girl at work gave me Dawn's card. I became a little leary when she told me the prices (sounded too good to be true or that she wasn't too good at her work). I was able to get makeup and pedicures as a little appreciation gift to all of my bridesmaids plus my makeup AND trial for around $500. I was paying the other place $750 and wasn't getting half the service. Two thumbs up Dawn . We loved you!!!

Thank you Dawn for making my wedding so special. And thank you for not over-doing my makeup. It was perfect.
