My husband and I hired Ben to photograph our wedding last fall and it was one of the best investments we made for our wedding. Ben and his team were extremely professional, yet fun and creative. We felt like nearly every element of our wedding was captured because not only did Ben photograph the entire wedding day, but he also had two photographers/assistants with him to capture candid moments that he may have missed. He also came prepared with lights and umbrellas (for the flash) which is unusual. I've attended many weddings where the only source of artificial light the photographer uses is the camera's horseshoe flash (the add-on flash which is not the camera's built in flash), which can limit or alter the end result of the pictures, sometimes resulting in overexposed photos or photos with unflattering shadows. I am a hobbyist photographer and appreciate the extra mile he went to bring extra light for our pictures. Needless to say, our pictures came out great. The lighting and the composition of many of our formal portraits was incredible. We also loved the many candid shots that he and his team took as well. And as promised, Ben also provided our photos and website links a week following our wedding so that we could share it with our family and friends immediately. I highly recommend Ben and his team.

I contacted several photographers prior to our wedding and was not impressed with any of them. I was referred to Ben from a client. He came out to my office for our meetings and I was impressed from the beginning. Ben was kind, understanding,professional and a true artist. Ben was not the first photographer we contacted but he was the first and the only photographer we interviewed for our San Diego wedding. From his amazing pictures, I am always drowning in a sea of romance, especially his sunset shot, and being touched beyond words. In the interview, it could tell how he loves his work, his passionate gave me confidence. Also with his prompt reply, my hubby decided to book him for our Big Day.

While shooting our engagement, we were appreciated with his creativity. He could create great pictures everywhere in any time; he was able to make the best of the surrounding! One thing disappointed was that we couldn’t see a nice sunset because it was soooo cloudy.

For our wedding last month, Ben and his assistants did such an excellent job. Ben often confirmed the lighting was perfect and made sure he captured what he wanted, it turned out gorgeous! We are very pleased with his professional work and how helpful they are. Though we were demanding, Ben is so dependable that we didn’t have to worry about much on our wedding day. And we’d like to thank Ben for staying longer than what was said in the contract; it was really a long day (11+ hours) for them. Thanks!

Ben Chen is the best. Period.

I was so lucky to have found Ben Chen at the Pomona Fair. I fell in love with his work right away and knew he was going to be my photographer! He was so professional and had great ideas to make our pictures look spectacular.

Ben took amazing pictures of my husband and I. I was so please when I saw the DVD Montage, I cried. I felt happy to see the final product finished.

Ben is so passinate about his job that he takes his time to really make sure that he captures what he is looking for. He makes sure that lighting is perfect and once he's got it, the results are amazing! That's how you know what an awesome photographer he really is. I will hire Ben in a second for future family pictures.

From the moment we sat down with Ben to talk about our wedding needs, I knew that he had to be our photographer. Ben took our engagement photos about a month before our wedding in a "Trash the Dress" session. It was so much fun and the pictures were incredible. I am really camera shy but they made me feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire photo shoot.

Our wedding photos were even better than I ever expected. I don't even know the right words of gratitude to express to Ben and his team. Your wedding day goes by so quickly that it is over before you know it and all you are left with are memories and photos. Our pictures are stunning, Ben worked very hard, for long hours, and was a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to book my next session with him! I would recommend Ben to anyone!

My Husband and I came across so cal pixels at the L.A. County Fair.. My brother and sister in law used Ben Chen for their wedding in Novemeber of 2008 and Ben received our business the same day my brother booked him for our wedding April 11, 2009. We had an amazing photo shoot for our engagement photos in the azusa canyon mountains.. freezing cold and Ben was a trooper through the whole thing.. our sunset photos are absolutely amazing! On our wedding day, I was so worried... clouds in the sky, we thought it would rain and thank goodness it didnt BUT the clouds in our horizon of our photos, Ben made them stand out like we were in the middle of a lightening storm! Only a true photgraphy genius could make these amazing photos happen! Thank you Ben, we couldnt have asked for anyone better. Our photos of the happiest day of our lives will be forever captured and all over our walls for everyone to see!

Once you meet Ben and he shows you his work in person, it's apparent how passionate he is about photography. My Fiance and I found Ben at the fair, and once we saw his photos and met him, we knew we found of photographer. He did our engagement shoot on June 15, 2008, and it was the best day. Ben was so professional, and so amazing that it blew us away. We already felt so comfortable with him because we talked on the phone with him often. He is EXCELLENT at keeping in touch with his brides. You start to feel like friends, not clients. He captured me and my fiance in so many natural moments. The few poses that he did put us in were so unique and completely flattered us both. Once we saw our pictures (he got them up for us to see in 4 days!!) I cried. The pictures were more beautiful than I thought they ever could be. We are so excited to have him for our wedding day, and also for when we start a family. I have no doubt in my mind that he will always be our family photographer. He is truly remarkable and one of a kind. His passion for pictures shows in his work. Nobody could ever go wrong with him.

Ben did our wedding on 11-1-08, and it was a very interesting day. I was so sick on my wedding day that I started off in the ER. Ben was so amazing in having to change his entire schedule, and to deal with such a sick bride. The pictures from that day are unbelievable, and gorgeous. He made it to where you could not even tell that I was so utterly sick that day. Ben was so amazing, that because we did not get as many pictures as we normally would have because I was sick, he did a second shoot for us in January 2009. He took us to the mountains and gave us over 200 astounding pictures of me and my husband in our wedding attire. Ben is amazing, and we plan on using him for all our photography needs!

My husband and I got married in October 2008 in Huntington Beach CA. Ben Chen was our photographer and he was awesome!

This was a destination wedding and the guest total was right at 50 people. As I was planning the wedding I was really nervous about not meeting any of my vendors until mid-week before the wedding. Ben was really great about details and planning over the phone, he is very thorough and at the end I realized how priceless that really is. He made time to photograph us three days before the wedding on the beach and I'm so glad we made time to do this because those photos came out so good, they really capture the romantic element that could have easily gotten lost in all of the stress and rush of our packed schedule. Ben really put in alot of work to get just the right shots, with great lighting effects and the whole bit.

On the wedding day he arrived as planned and got some great shots of us getting ready. At the church he ended being subject to alot of unplanned restrictions (not previously disclosed) but he was able to make the best of it and took really good pictures, despite the disadvantage. I was really happy with the outcome. At the reception he captured everything I wanted... and at sunset we were able to get some truly amazing photos.

I highly recommend Ben, he was great to work with. Highly professional and a good communicator.

I met Ben when I interviewed him as my best friend's maid of honor (you can read her review below - TinaViau). I had not met any other photographer who so loved what he did. It showed in his work. He did an absolutely wonderful and awesome job at her wedding.

I had been searching for photographers online and stumbled upon Ben's website. I was very intrigued by the angles, color, composition and style. I have a bachelor's in graphic design, so I know what to look for in an image. Ben is very good at getting those beautiful angles and achieving rich colors and crisp quality.

I love his sunset photos at the beach because there is just the right amount of contrast and saturation that they make the subjects pop out.

Ben is very dependable, skilled, and on top of things. He has very good customer service skills and is always available to talk. He is very good with following up and getting things done on time. I was not very happy with our DJ as they were very difficult to get a hold of, in fact, we never had a chance to talk over things with them before the day of our wedding. That is why I like Ben, he always returns calls and will answer all my questions. He feels more like a friend than just a vendor who is busy with too many things to talk to you. If you want great quality and great customer service, Ben is the best choice.

For a great photographer, look no futher. Ben is the best. Not only is he incredibly personable and fun to work with, but he is very professional and detailed. My photos turned out better then I could ever have asked for. Ben was the first photographer we interviewed, and ended up being the only one we needed to interview. If you're considering to hire Ben Chen as your photographer for your wedding you're in for a treat. Our wedding consisted of zero bridesmaids, rather, we had five flower girls and two ring bearers. This presented a challenge because kids are not always easy to deal with, however, Ben was exceptionally professional when it came time to speak with them during the rehearsal at the Church. I am still blown away at how easy he was able to group the kids together, ages 2 to 9, and get them to engage in a conversation about the events that were about to take place. He was patient, confident, and communicated quite clearly with the kids and even answered their silly questions. [Photographer that's great with kids - check]

I was extremely concerned with our tight schedule because our church and hall were on opposite ends of the valley, and this required driving through rush hour traffic on a Friday afternoon. Ben was graciously generous with his time and tried to accommodate our ever changing itinerary throughout the night. His photojournalistic style was inconspicuous as he worked his way through the crowds and took the pictures we requested. At many times he seem to be camouflaged into the crowds, with his flash as the only indicator that he was there at all. Ben is a master craftsman of photography, always thinking ahead anticipating the next move, framing each shot as though it were a work of art. However, words alone do him no justice, you really need to view his blog to grasp at his true brilliance and admire the energy and passion he puts into each and every project that he shoots. I, for one, feel extremely satisfied that we hired Ben for our wedding because he provided so much more than we ever imagined.

Ben was such an easy photographer to work with, and his passion for taking photos was very evident from the moment I met him. My husband and I were not too comfortable in front of the camera before meeting Ben, but he made us feel at ease and took the time to talk to us and get to know us before our photo shoot to calm our nerves. I got married on July 21,2007 and Ben Chen was our photographer. He was great!!! He does excellent work!! He was very energetic to shoot our engagemnet photo shoot as well as our wedding.
