Soda

We had Soda play at our reception and Diet Soda (two members of Soda that played acoustic guitars) play at the cocktail hour in October 2011. They were wonderful! They were extremely professional during the planning of the wedding entertainment and the day of the wedding. They made sure everything went off without a hitch! They even wore black ties...since their typical red ties would clash with the Copper wedding decor. :-) We had a ton of people ask us for their contact info after the wedding since they were so great. We can't thank you enough for completing our day Soda! I would recommend them to everyone. As for cost - you'd be surprised how similar in price they are to some DJs and so much more fun!

Soda was a wonderful part of our daughter's wedding. Their music selection was a perfect mix of standards and pop and the dance floor was always full. Rob was a pleasure to work with; he was organized and professional. Rob handled all of our music needs, from arranging for a keyboardist during the cocktail hour, to introducing the bridal party, to providing music during the dinner. Soda was incredibly reasonable, too. I recommend them highly!

Soda made the night at our wedding. I couldn't believe how much fun everyone had. All night people were commenting to my husband and I on how amazing the band was. I left the set list up to Rob and his crew and they did a perfect job for playing music that appealed to our crowd. The dance floor was PACKED all night! They really made the evening great. So many of our friends said it was the best wedding they've ever been to and I really think it's because of the band. They were a joy to work with, amazing at the wedding, and a realistic price (probably undercharging a little for the amazing quality of entertainment too!) Thanks so much Soda. Y'all were great!

"Great music" is what all our guests said. Everyone just raved about the band. We had such a fun time and Soda did a wonderful job. Played the favorites we requested and had a good mix throughout the night that kept everyone dancing. I had a surprise guest and they intro'd him better than I even imagined!

Rob was very organized and easy to work with. They're well practiced. If they aren't booked for special events, then they play gigs at bars. We got to see them perform before booking and knew they'd be good. On top of all this, they were very reasonably priced. Much more affordable than other cover bands in Chicago (and I personally think as good or better!).

I'd highly recommend booking them for your wedding/special event/party.

Initially my husband and I heard this band at a local bar and thought they were pretty good. Throughout the planning process with Rob and the actual day we found him to be personable, professional and very hard working. The band is seriously incredible and made the day so much fun. There was barely enough room on the dance floor. They played recorded music for our ceremony, during dinner and then the band played afterwards. Rob/band were extremely organized. Would strongly recommend this band...AWESOME!!!

Soda played at our wedding back in August. We just watched our wedding video and seeing it reminded us of how glad we were to have Soda there. Their musical talents cover the full spectrum of selections from R&B, hip-hop to country and everything in between. On top of that, Rob, played trumpet at the wedding ceremony making their contribution that much more special and integral to our day. My wife and I would definitely recommend Soda for any wedding. Also, if you are a fan of Vanilla Ice, Soda is hands down a must, throw out all the other bands and just book Soda.

We hired Soda for our daughter's outdoor wedding reception in Saugatuck, MI. The weather was challenging early in the day but Rob and his band arrived on time and were very efficient in setting up and flexible with the weather conditions. Rob even played his trumpet at the wedding ceremony at the church which set the tone for the magical night that was to follow. The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last and they played songs that appealed to all ages. Having a band for a wedding reception rather than a DJ really sets a fun tone to the evening. We had many people comment on how good the band was and what a fun night they had! I would highly recommend Soda to any future bride looking for a band.

Do yourself a favor and book this band. Prior to the wedding Rob made the entire process very easy to do. The only challenge we had was narrowing their awesome song list down to our favorites. At the wedding Rob was a fantastic MC and everything ran smoothly. The band was nice enough to even learn our first dances. From that point, the party never stopped at our wedding and the dance floor was packed the entire time.

The nice thing about Soda is that their music fits all ages. We saw our grandparents who are over 80 and cousins who are less than 10 dancing the night away. Rob and crew were even flexible to add an extra half hour the night of because we were having so much fun and allow the maid of honor to fulfill her lifelong dream of playing a tambourine with a band for a song. Our guests have not stopped raving about them too. You can't go wrong booking this band and you will thank yourself afterwords.

Soda is a wonderful band. They were the highlight of our wedding reception! Their songs appeal to the entire guest list (grandparents, parents, younger friends and kids). When they finished the last song, all of our guests starting chanting "ONE MORE SONG"! It was a great moment to remember from our big day.

Rob (the main contact for the band) is very easy to work with during the planning process and the big day. He responds to questions in a timely manner and is very helpful when planning the order of the reception. He did a great job as the emcee of our event with a lot of energy.

We only wish we had another reason to throw a great big party and hire Soda again as the entertainment!

My husband and I are so happy we hired Soda to play at our wedding. Rob was great to work with from the beginning. He returned all of my phone calls and emails promptly. He even met us at a halfway point so we could sign our contract and talk in person. Throughout the year before our wedding, we saw Soda a handful of times at local bars, which made us and our wedding guests very excited for the big day. Since Rob was so great throughout the planning process, we had no worries that Soda would surpass our expectations. Everyone was on time and professional. The band did a fantastic job keeping the party going and played all types of genres for our guests. Needless to say, everyone was sad when they announced the last song of the night. Our experience with Soda was so great, we plan to keep in touch and attend their shows when they play local bars. HIRE SODA!!

Rob and his crew were very professional and well dressed. He coordintated with us in a timely fashion and was quite helpful with helping us find the songs/versions we wanted. It was very nice to have him announce the bridal party and when dinner was being served. The music was excellent! Thank you SODA for making our celebration such a wonderful and elegant event! We had an aboslutely incredible time!!

SODA was absolutely amazing at our wedding on June 4th. We couldn't have asked for more! Leading up to the wedding they were always easy to get a hold of, very accomodating, and Rob was extremely patient with my constant emailing!

The day of they took care of all of our introductions and announcements, recorded music through dinner, first dances, live music for almost 4 hours and then dj music after that for a couple hours!

I've never heard guests at a wedding yell "encore! encore!" like they did for SODA after the live music part of the reception but they did! The dance floor was packed the entire night and everyone was talking about SODA and the music for days after the wedding and how fabulous they were!!

It's a great feeling knowing that all of our guests had as much fun as we did at our own wedding and a huge reason is because of SODA!

I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a live band performance, and ESPECIALLY for weddings! SODA ROCKS! :)

I have hired Soda for previous events to my wedding and they have always done an excellent job.. and since my wedding in October I have heard so many compliments from friends and family on how much fun they had and the biggest reason for that is how awesome the band was. Soda can play all genres and still sound really good regardless. If you are looking for wedding entertainment that will help to guarantee and awesome party for you and your wedding guests, I would recommend Soda!

When anyone asks us what was the best part of our whole wedding experience outside of saying our vows to each other, hands down our answer without even thinking about it was and still is...THE BAND! They went above and beyond all of our expectations! Starting with their classy physical presentation, they were prompt, ready to entertain, and provided multiple additional perks such as announcing each person in my wedding party and learning to play the song for our first dance (sounding better than Edwin McCain himself). The moment they set foot on the stage, they captured the attention of the entire wedding by mastering an excellent range of musical genres for all ages. I was continuously flattered to see anyone and everyone of my relatives, friends, and co-workers jumping out of their seat to join the party on the dance floor. Their talents continued to amaze late into the night when the band members broke into a special request of Vanilla Ice, allowing the Best Man to perform along with them; further providing a moment we will all treasure. They shook us all night long, leaving us on the dance floor, wishing that the last song would have an encore worthy of endless musical entertainment that lasted 'til sunrise. Until this day, since August 28th, 2010, people still rave about how amazing the band was. We will forever be greatful for the band's contribution to our unforgettable wedding day. Soda played for my son's wedding at the Hotel Monaco in Chicago. Rob Loar was very professional to work with throughout all of the planning, and the guests loved the band, dancing their brains out until the very end of the evening. I especially appreciated Rob's MC skills.

In June of 2010 we had the pleasure of having Soda perform at our wedding and we were more than pleased. As everyone knows there can be some major stressors involved with planning an event and Rob and the team made this a pleasant experience. Usually after a wedding people compliment the food or the center pieces and in our case the compliments are about the music and the band. We continue to get emails and phone calls asking about the band, what a success! The dance floor was full the entire time and the variety of music is amazing. Soda Rocks did an unbelievable job at my wedding and I have had many guests ask for their information. They did a fantastic job and really made the night a success with people dancing until we were kicked out. I did not have to worry about a thing. They have so much experience that they gave great suggestions, but were wonderfully flexible with what we were looking for. People were dancing all night long, my grandparents did not move from their tables. They stayed just to watch everyone dance. They provided such a comfortable atmosphere and people thought that the music was great so they were up and dancing as soon as the music started. I have been asked to have a 1 year anniversary party so we can have them again. They were terrific to work with and made everything very simple. Highly suggested to everyone I know.

BOOK THIS BAND! YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!! We hired them to play at our Wisconsin wedding 09-19-09 and they completely rocked the roof off of our barn! I always preferred live music over a D.J. and am SO glad I chose this band. They were professional, on time, and sounded like the real artist every cover they played. As a picky, detail oriented bride I am hard to please and they were fantastic in every way! We had very high expectations going into the day and they exceeded those. Worth every penny. They even provided music during dinner and emceed the whole night. They are the COMPLETE package and did I mention fun too ?!?!?

Yep, thats right. These guys get a 5/5. We had always intended on getting a band for our wedding, but were really put off by the choices, quality, and cost of the bands in the Chicagoland area. Then one night we saw Soda out in St. Charles for a friends birthday and were so impressed we got their card on the way out.

Rob (the lead) was so great to work with. He made sure everything was smooth from the initial booking, to the end of the wedding night. Not to mention they were very accommodating and affordable. They played songs we requested, stayed away from ones were weren't so crazy about. They even played for an extra 1/2 hour the night of the wedding (we of course compensated them for it.) We were very please that the band kept the focus on the wedding, and avoided making the night about them (like I've seen at some weddings.) And Rob was a great MC he even went through the phonetic spelling of bridal party prior to getting on the mic, and in a big fat Italian wedding that really matters.

Everyone danced all night and raved about them in the days following. The best man even booked them for his wedding the following summer!

Book them, you won't be disappointed!

Great band for a very reasonable price. Rob was very easy to work with and also quite willing to accept requests from the audience. The quality of sound was also excellent considering it was a tough outdoor venue.

Soda is a great band! They sound like the real thing and brought a great energy to our party! They are wonderful to work with and I can't recommend them highly enough!
