Some Kind of Wonderful Wedding Service

This is a difficult review to write. On the one hand, Franie is very sweet and organized. She returns emails promptly and is easy to get a hold of via phone. For those who are creatively challenged, I am told she can be quite helpful. She has good references from the few brides she has worked with. Part of her popularity is that she is quite affordable.

This brings me to the flipside of the situation. This is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. Franie is very new to the wedding industry and it shows. Anyone can be nice, sweet and helpful in the planning process. On your wedding day, you need someone with leadership and problem solving skills. Franie lacks assertiveness and confidence. My friends who happen to work in the wedding business were surprised and disappointed that I had someone so ill-equipped coordinating my wedding.

My wedding had a few more issues than most. Prior to the wedding, we had some problems with our venue and at one point did not have a venue. Our venue problems translated to additional problems on our wedding day. With each issue we had, she was not proactive in helping us find solutions. She had a more of a laissez faire approach. Additionally, she was not good under pressure. She is VERY inexperienced and it really shows. She spent most of the time spazzing out and running frenetically to and fro. I was fairly calm and she was making me nervous instead of keeping me calm. All of my other vendors got to a point where they completely ignored her and ended up coming to me and my husband for solutions to some of the problems we had. (for example. our linens were not delivered to our caterer, our cake was delivered late, etc.) I ended up hiding in a storage closet to avoid being bothered with problem-solving. After all, I hired my coordinator to handle that. In the end, it was my caterer and waitstaff that really help pull things together, not my DOC. This is definitely something to consider. When the going gets tough, you really need someone who is grace under pressure.

As a side note, Franie is a questionable vendor. I'd think carefully before hiring her. Please feel free to contact me for additional info.

Franie is helping us plan our May, 2008 wedding. My fiancé and I just absolutely love her. At first FI was very hesitant to hire a coordinator. He was having a hard time to grasp the concept that a stranger will be handling our BIG DAY. But when we met with Franie we just know she’s the right person to work with. All of my fiance’s reservations is out the window. She listens to all the thing we want and help us make them happen.

I just love working with her since she is just excited I am about the wedding. So it keeps me planning mode. And keeps FI happy too since I don’t have to bother him so much about little details.
With how things right now , we just know my planning will be stress free and FI and I will fully enjoy our big day with Franie around.

Franie was awesome on our wedding day. She took care of everything for us. She made sure the venue looks exactly how I envisioned my wedding and beyond!!! All my vendors absolutely love her. My family and friends kept telling me and DH that she was so amazing and on top of things. She was quick to solved problems and take immediate action. We didn't know what went on till after the wedding when our guests were telling us how awesome she was. She really made sure everyone were taken care of, made sure that everything run smoothly. DH and I didn't have to worry about anything. We completely enjoyed our wedding day. Also, leading to the big day...she made sure DH and I are relax and not stressing out.

We highly recommend her!!!

I hired Franie to be my day-of coordinator for my January 2008 wedding. However the amount of work she put in definitely went beyond just that day's duties. Franie was very organized, very eager, and very approachable. My husband and I thought she was one of our best investments - so much so that we gave her a 100% (well deserved) tip for her services.

I guess the story that best encapsulates Franie's dedication is the amount of work she put in to allow me to have my dream outdoor wedding in the middle of january. after a week of torrential rains, the day cleared up the morning of my wedding. Although our plan was to have a tent wedding, I called Franie the morning of the wedding and asked if we could move it back outdoors. She said, "if that's what you want, we're going to make it work." And she did. When the day started getting cloudy again, she moved all the cocktail tables to protect it and the guests from the potential rain. She enlisted the help of her husband to come in (for free) to just help out.

Overall, we were very pleased with her service. There is no way that the day could have turned out as wonderful as it did without her.

Franie was one of my day of coordinators to oversea the entire day, since I already had a coordinator for the church ceremony. I met with Franie a few months before for the initial meeting, then she came with me to visit my ceremony & reception site, she showed up at the wedding rehearsal (even though she didn't have to since the church coordinator took care of everything), and she was there way before everyone else the day of the wedding. She responds promptly and is really sweet and great to work with. I was a little skeptical about her service until the day of the wedding. Not only did my husband rave about how great she was, but tons of guests at the wedding kept commenting on what a great wedding coordinator I had. Franie brought an emergency kit with her with stuff ranging from safety pins, to even midst to help your make-up stay. She kept everything flowing that day, so I didn't have to deal much with the vendors. She charges around $300 for all her services, so it's a steal! I would highly recommend Franie to anyone who wants to have a stress-free wedding day :)

I was able to rest easy and ENJOY my entire wedding day because of Franie. Very importantly she kept us all on schedule. Everything went beautifully and smoothly.

She spent time with me before the wedding to make sure she knew my vision of the whole day and details of the reception. She made sure my entire reception's details were set up how I wanted from how the napkins were to be folded to exactly where I wanted the candles placed around the centerpiece.

She coordinated all the vendors arriving and setting up, calling to confirm their arrival time the week before the wedding & also a day before the wedding, solving issues that came up. Yes, I had issue with the limo company and makeup artist. And Franie was able to help me fix the issue within a day.

Franie went above and beyond what I would have expected. A++++++

I hired Franie as my DOC for my wedding on 04/20/08. She was really a great find and a good deal for the wonderful service that she provided. In my opinion, she charged a little too less for her service.

We met her three times prior to the big day. She met us at our venue three months prior to our wedding and the day of our rehearsal. She listened to what we envisioned and also gave us suggestions that made it better. Since she just had her own wedding a couple of months prior, she really made us think about the little details that were being over looked.

On our wedding day, she made sure that the venue was set up the way we wanted and that the vendors and helpers where doing their part. She worked really well with the others. I was able to enjoy my wedding because Franie was there to take care of everything.

I would definitely recommend her service to my friends and family.
