Something Blue Bridal is a wonderful bridal boutique. This was the 4th place that I had gone in my wedding dress hunt. The moment I walked in I knew it was what I had pictured as the place to find the perfect dress. I did find my perfect dress. The staff is very helpful!

I tried on countless dresses at what seemed like every major store in Orlando. Something Blue was the last one I had to go to, while they have a smaller selection many of their dresses are unique. I fell in love with a lace James Clifford dress but I mentioned that I wished it had a little more sparkle to it. The owner told me she heard the designer just finished an embelished version of the same dress. They were able to track it down and have it shipped up to Orlando. Even though the new dress was pricier then what we wanted, my Mom ended up buying it for me because I loved it so much. Without Something Blue I never would of found my perfect dress. Every time I called or went in I experienced great customer service.I am going to write a seperate review for their alterations person, Sonja. Despite the great experience I had with the store when it came to alterations it didn't stay that way. I only met with Sonja once, during our 15 minutes together she constantly complained about how much work my dress was going to be because of the beading(even though I was budgeting a decent amount for alterations because my dress was complicated, it is her job afterall). She ignored me when I asked questions. She directly asked if I was planning on losing any weight (6weeks prior to wedding) and when i said maybe she flipped out and said if I did and my dress didn't fit it wouldnt be her fault(I felt like she was baiting me with that question). Overall the whole appointment made me very uncomfortable and have little confidence she would try to make me happy. One of the salesgirls came in and after seeing my face rescued me, suggesting I go home and think things over before we did any work. I found an independent seamstress who was an angel, affordable, and very easy to work with. Something Blue let me pick up my dress with no issues later that week.

The bridal salon made selecting my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses the easiest process of the whole wedding. They helped me choose a dress that was perfect by asking me what i liked about dresses I tried and taking all of those elements and putting them together. Also, none of my bridesmaids lived in florida and they made the bridesmaid dress ordering process so very easy. They even encouraged me to come back and "visit" my dress (just make sure you make an appointment, they appreciate that =)

I had a great experience at Something Blue! I only got my wedding dress there, but everyone was really helpful and friendly the multiple times I went for fittings, etc. The shop has a great selection and a wide range of prices.

I loved the dress from Something blue! They were very friendly and not pushy. The only thing I would have changed was when i was fitted for my dress they were sure that the sample length would be a perfect length. When the dress came in it was shorter then what i expected. I was not able to wear the shoes i was hoping but it was an easy fix i just got a shorter heel :) Other then that they were great and i loved the dress!

I bought my dress, bridesmaids dresses, and had alterations done here. I have to say that everything was top notch! The sales women are a joy to work with, and they also have a lovely selection of dresses with wide price ranges.

I was in Orlando in December of 2009 on vacation. (Just after we got engaged) Decided to try on some dresses with my MIL and SIL. I happened to find the perfect dress and it was 30% off to boot. I felt like I couldn't buy a dress without my Mom there to see it. So I decided to let this one go. Came back to michigan and tried on about 20 more dresses and nothing held a candle to the one I found at something blue. My husband to be said "Why don't you call them and see if they still have" I told him there was no way. It was on clearence and it was an off the rack purchase. But I decided to try anyhow. (Mind you it was now february!!) So I called, and they still had it. It was no longer on clearence though. But the lady decided to honor that price for me anyway!!! I flew back down to try it on one more time and made the purchase. They were so pleasant to work with!!! And held my dream dress for me!!

Originally didn't think this boutique would be anywhere near our price range - but their sales are fantastic!!! I was treated very well every time I went into the store. There was some confusion over the pick-up date, the dress wasn't ready when we came to get it, but the girls there apologized and got it done very quickly and miraculously found the perfect veil! The original veil plan fell through at the last minute, we were planning on spending all day shopping for another one, but the girls at Something Blue found one that matched perfectly and was even on sale - they saved us probably hours that day!!

i got my wedding gown from Something Blue and I was happy for what I paid for. The gown was elegant and all my friends highly commented that it was very pretty. The only problem I had was it took 4 trial to fix and alltered the size. The seamstress they have was not reliable that it took me 4 times to come back to fix the mistake she did by making it 3 inches smaller than making it more bigger instead. I was freaking out that I thought I would buy another replacement until two days before the wedding that she finally got it right. But overall the gown was the perfect design I was looking for. Their veils though was very pricy compared to other stores but they have gowns that are very cheap and beautiful. The staff were ok though not very considerate when I asked for an extra garment bag for my other evening gown and bluntly said we don't give free bags.
Vendor response to review
In response to the claims regarding alterations, our tailor is an independent contractor and I am sorry you felt she was not reliable. Our tailor has been with our salon for five years. She informed me that your first alteration was over a year before the wedding and in that time bodies change and it is sometimes necessary to have multiple fittings. She also has every client sign a paper that they are satisfied with the work on the garment once the gown is completed. If there was a concern it should have been brought up at that time. In regards to the free garment bag for the other gown. It was not purchased at our salon and we do not give out free bags for times that were not purchased at our shop. The bags are available for purchase.

Ok, so the veil cost 280$, but it looked like it cost that! they even let me take the veil to get a consultation and I didn't even buy it yet! I even ended up getting my jewlery there too. Compliments all around ;)

I saw hair pins by Sara Gabriel that I loved and had to have. Of course it was 4 weeks before the wedding. I called a bridal shop closer to where I live in St. Pete and they were rude so I called the next shop which was Something Blue. They was so helpful and called me a handful of times to let me know the details and status. I had the pins directly shipped to my work and they called to make sure I had received it. The pins were perfect and I got so many compliments. They were pricy but so worth it. The pictures of my hair look amazing and that to me is priceless.

I came to Someting Blue Bridal for my Matron of Honor and bridesmaids dresses. I knew what color and style I was looking for and fortunately found a dress that was really close. I brought all of my girls there and 2 were my junior bridesmaids who were going to be able to wear the same dress. (we just added straps) The lady who helped us was very nice and seemed very helpful. They took everyones measurement and we had to sign off on them. Everything seemed fine with the fitting until my Matron of Honor went back to pick up her dress. She had picked up the dress and taken it home without trying, which was a mistake because when she did try it, she couldn't even put it on and zip it without if falling to the ground. It looked like it was 5 sizes to big. When she took it back to the store and expained this-they didn't want to help at all. They said we signed off on the measurements and there was nothing they could do. My bestfriend asked if she could try it on and show them how huge it was on her and they said it wasn't necessary because there was nothing they could do for her. They even suggested that she probably lost a lot of weight and that was the reason it was so big-they tried to blame her! This didn't make any sense not only because she's been the same weight as long as i've known her but also because one my other bridesmaids ordered a size 2 and it fit my Matron of Honor perfect! So we had to take it to get it altered (Thank u Judy!) and it because there was so much work needed, it cost us just as much as the dress did! I was very disappointed in their customer service AFTER we bought the dresses. Fortunately the dress was fixable and it looked beautiful but we had to go through a lot to get it!I think they have a nice selection but their follow up customer service stinks!

I had my dress within 4 months of ordering it! Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed working with everyone in the shop!

I bought my dress from Something Blue, and I had no complaints or issues with them. I received great customer service, and I have to say that their prices are very comparable and reasonable, compared to other bridal stores that I visited. I had in mind a couple of dresses that I wanted to try on, and they had all of them at really great prices. What really sold me was their customer service because they made me feel like I was the only person there that day. Yes, my dress was a little pricey, but definitely worth it!

I had a terrible experience at this store! We went there for a mother of the bride dress and we tried several on and my mother actually found one that she really liked. We waited and waited and waited and it finally came in and when it did the color was not even close to what the lady showed us when we chose it. It was a really dark steel gray when we were showed a bright silver color. Plus the dress was big enough for both of us to fit in together. To make matters worse they refused to take it back and said we had to either take it or loose our $600 deposit. The dress was $1,200. For a dress that expensive I would expect much better service. The girls that worked there were very unprofessional. We got there an hour before they closed for the original appointment and they seemed frustrated because they were going out for drinks after work. We showed up at the time we were scheduled to be there! The day we picked up the dress they were all dressed in halloween costumes because it was halloween.....still a little strange for a birdal store that carried very expensive dresses!! I would never shop there again and I would NOT recommend this store to anyone!

Something Blue Bridal and Formal Wear really helped another one of my bridesmaid's out. They were real nice to go into and look around. My one bridesmaid got a real nice Dessy bridesmaid dress that looked wonderful on her. We were both so happy we talked all about our experience over lunch that day. She got lots of compliments on the bridesmaid dress and she was happy and so was I. This place was a real nice place to shop and they got real nice people working at the shop who take care of everybody.

Wedding Gown: 5 Stars - The girls in the bridal shop were amazing. They made me feel like I was the only bride in the shop. They were very helpful with anything I needed. I had been to other shops, and I was just another number to them, but Something Blue made me feel special. They dresses are a little pricier, but I felt like the quality of my dress was worth every penny I paid for it.
Alterations: 4 Stars - The alteration shop is located inside of the Something Blue store. The alterations were done very well. The only problem is that they were very expensive. I did not mind the price because it was convenient, but I do wish they were a little cheaper.

I found my most amazing wedding dress at this bridal boutique. I bought it off the rack so it was a 5000 dress I got for 600. It couldn't have been more perfect. The staff there are so awesome and really roll out the red carpet. There are a few things that are overpriced in their shop--I did want to buy some accessies there but decided not to because they were so ridiculously prices. Other than that we have a fabulous experience with the service there.I gave a low score for professionalism only because when I returned to the shop to pick up my dress there was a dog there. Not sure how much dogs and white dresses mix. But other than than fabulous buy in a dress that has changed my life forever!

Because most of my girls are from Orlando, I allowed them to decide which store to purchase their dresses from. Something Blue was just wonderful. They each received their dresses right away, and even got them altered right there at their store. They all looked so beautiful in them!

Very affordable alterations with expert advise and made my alteration expereince wonderful. She helped me with everything along the way. A great place to purchase your vail, as she we make it exactaly how you want/need it.

The only thing I didn't like is that I was never reminded that I needed to do a final fitting...the entire year that I dealt with them, they scheduled appointments with me, except for that last one. I was obviously very busy and it slipped my mind. A call would have helped.
