In September 2008, I posted an ad soliciting day of wedding coordinators for my October wedding in New York City. I received over 30 responses ranging from people looking to make extra cash to planners just dabbing in the industry to coordinators with years and years of experience. The variance posed a challenge because even though I knew I wanted to best for my special day, I knew that meant it would carry a hefty price tag. Then I received an email from Karina Jimenez, the lead consultant. It was a short note expressing her interest and providing her website and contact information. From that email, I knew this was a company I wanted to work with to make my wedding had phenomenal.
During our first conversation, I appreciated her supportive attitude. Even though it was about a month before the wedding, I still hadn’t chosen a centerpiece design, a florist and a couple other vendors. Less than an hour after our conversation she emailed me vendor suggestions and tons of centerpiece designs that matched my wedding colors and theme.
All in all, Karina is the ideal planner. As a bride I was overwhelmed, over extended and budget conscious but Karina was great at alleviating most of that stress. She responded to my emails and phone calls almost immediately, which I appreciated more than she could imagine. In terms of flexibility, she’s an A+ by far. Since I was an out of town bride, she didn’t mind our first face-to-face being until the day before the wedding day and coming to my parent’s home to pick up favors and reception venue supplies late Friday evening. I admire her warm, reassuring and calm personality. I would definitely recommend her to any couple seeking a wedding coordinator.

Karina took the lead and produced a spectacular and worry-free wedding for my husband and me. She researched and found the perfect venue, negotiated excellent pricing so that we could stay within budget yet have our dream wedding. She graciously kept us on schedule, (We held our wedding four months after becoming engaged so it was a lot of detail in a short amount of time) She was comprehensive in her services and hands-on in helping with things we did not have time to do. Most important, at every juncture Karina was a pro, well organized, honest, reliable and responsive, so we always felt well taken care of. All of our vendors commented on how great she was to work with. If you are looking for a wedding or meeting planner, go no further. Her pricing is fair and her service is great!... a real find and a lot of fun to have on your team.

Today's woman is very busy, even when she is pregnant and I was the image of the working pregnant woman who wanted to get everything done before I was no longer able to move. :-)

Working with "Something Blue" was an amazing experience. They were very easy to work with and I felt like all the information was at my fingertips. Everything from the venue to the smallest details was taken care of and thought of. I had the most beautiful baby shower I had ever seen at the fraction of what I would have thought.

Karina truly made my wedding day unforgettable. From the flower arrangements, wedding cards, cake, decor to the photography she provided me with every possible service. She and her team worked with us one on one and we received a lot of personal attention which is very difficult to get from wedding planners.
