Sonia cancelled a contract I had in place with her for five months for my wedding two weeks before my events. While I did get an explanation that there had been some unfortunate tragedy in her personal life which is understandable, it was after she cancelled that I was really disappointed. I expected that she would put in a good effort in finding a replacement and all I got was an email with a couple of numbers. She also nickel and dimed me on the deposit she was supposed to return- she deducted so many meaningless things like parking from what was owed back to me. After cancelling on someone days before their wedding, I don't understand how one could continue to charge someone especially if you don't honor a signed contract. I thought it was very unprofessional.

I can't review her work because she never performed services for me. She cancelled 2 weeks before my wedding in 2011. To make it worst, she still has not given me back my deposit of $400. I'm still waiting Sonia.

Sonia- be an honest business woman and return my deposit. This is ridiculous!!

Sonia and her team did my hair and makeup for myself and my mom for 3 of my wedding events as well as hair for all my bridesmaids the morning of the ceremony. They did a fabulous job for all of us. I got so many great compliments on all 3 of my looks. They accommodated everyone's requests and ideas. All of my bridesmaids were so happy with the way their hair turned out. Sonia was so sweet and made me feel amazing on my special day. She listened to all my requests and took everything I asked into consideration and turned it into a reality. She was so easy to talk to and was so much fun to be around. I had met her at a south asian bridal show and she did a "mini" trial on me there and then I had a formal hair and makeup trial with her. I was immediately impressed with her creativity and innovative style. She uses quality products (mostly MAC) which was important to me. My hair and makeup lasted all the way through each of my events and looked amazing in pictures! It was nice to work with someone who has a modern style and is still able to incorporate all of the traditional components to getting an indian bride ready. Her pricing is extremely reasonable for her services and the extra steps she takes to ensure you look gorgeous for your big day. I highly recommend her, you won't be disappointed!

Sonia did my hair and makeup for my wedding last year in June and did an amazing job. I contacted her from overseas and she was very accommodating and did a trial for me. Everyone said I looked fantastic, and I got many compliments on my hair and makeup. She used Mac products which lasted the whole day and looked fantastic in our wedding photos. Sonia is bubbly and has a lovely personality which makes it easy to talk to her and she understands exactly what look you want. If you want the best go to Sonia because she will make you look fabulous for the big day! Her prices were also reasonable.

I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will continue to go to her in the future for other special occassions.

I hired Sonia to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I had a trial with 1 other person in the Chicago area that is geared towards the indian community but really didnt like her style. Sonia has a modern twist on the tradional Indian style I was looking for. I knew when I met her that she was sweet and really knew what she was talking about. She listened to me and didnt press her ideas on me too much. I really loved what she did for me on my wedding day. Even though we didnt pay her for sticking around, she still did just to ensure everything went smoothly. She also ran around doing other errands we needed to have done just because she was such a nice person! She used top quality products and my makeup and hair lasted ALL DAY! Everyone loved the way I looked and especially my husband. My sister also got her hair and makeup done as well.
