After going to several bridal stores in town and not having found my dress I decide to stop buy at Sophie chang Inc. and I meet the designer Sophie chang and her assistant Kristina, they only carry gowns and bridesmaids dresses. Sophie and Kristina were so caring sweet and patient as they helped me, figuring out what I wanted in my dress. Sophie’s gowns are beautiful and one of a kind design.it was my first time in the store i find out Sophie design all her gowns; she gave me several choice to start up. They have 2 lines to pick from one line is 100%, made in Oregon, that made me very happy because i support local. She also suggested custom design if i could not find anything from their samples, and a free sketch. Although their gowns started at about a thousand and go to about four thousand my budget set around 2000$ I had lots of choices, and selecting a good grade of silk for my wedding gown, was very important I want to look good, on my wedding day. This was December 2012, after spent about 2 hours with Sophie I realize she is very detailed oriented and wanted to make sure I find the perfect gown for my wedding day. We began trying out about seven gowns and finally I found the perfect dress for me.Sophie was super friendly and helpful, listen to what I wanted gave all her attention and the time I needed to pick my dress, the dress that I fell in love with was slightly more than my budget, I did not mind I appreciated she wanted my business. I had bad experiences elsewhere and this place was a breath of fresh air. This little bridal shop was absolutely one of the best customer services experiences I have ever had.

Awful experience! Sophie Chang used WHITE lace over my IVORY bodice! She didn't listen to anything I asked for and was completely RUDE to deal with!! She yelled at me and made me cry in my fitting. She did a terrible job at the lace appliqué which I paid $300 extra for and ended up having to take to someone else to get it fixed because she refused to do the job properly! The bottom of the tulle dress was had all jagged edges which again, I had to get someone else to fix! I could go on, but I can't tell you enough how awful the whole experience was dealing with Sophie. She is completely unprofessional, lazy with no attention to detail, and is not interested in making sure you're happy with your wedding dress! What was supposed to be a really special experience turned out to be traumatic, and I now look at my wedding photos with a sick feeling in my stomach knowing how awful she was to me and how my dress is not what I had hoped for. Very sad, and disappointing! Do not waste your money!

Sophie, thank you so much for helping me find the perfect dress! You care and attention to detail is well worth the cost of the dress. I received many compliments from guests and my vendors. Not even my vendors who attend countless weddings, said they had ever seen a dress like mine!

Sophie provided the most gorgeous custom-designed bridesmaid dresses for our wedding. Her designs are fresh, creative, reasonably-priced -- and she's an absolute doll to work with. Her wedding gowns are also gorgeous, fun and fashion-forward.

The salesperson here was completely innapropriate and rude and highly inexperienced. At one point while straightening my gown (with hands beneath my skirt) she told me "wow this would be a great job if i was gay. i could touch women all day long". Really? Even if I had found the perfect dress there is NO WAY I would have purchased it there. Scary
If you are looking for a unique and beautiful dress for your wedding then local designer Sophie Chang is for you. Her gowns are absoultely gorgeous and best of all, not mass produced like many of the designer gowns on the market today. Go local...Go Sophie!
