Soul Medix were extremely easy to work with. They learned a song just for our first dance. The band are very professional and great musicians, besides good quality and price!

Soul Medix is a versatile band both in musical styles, and in availability of group size. Focus is always put on the "danceable rythyms", and Motown, soul, top-40, country, rock and roll, hip-hop, blues & swing music are all covered! Experience dictates that being a versatile band is a great advantage for parties & dances. It keeps everyone in the crowd happy, and it allows provisions for a customized show for any type of venue. In order to provide entertainment for venues of different sizes, Soul Medix can perform as a quartet, or up to 8 musicians, including additional keyboards, sax, trumpet & trombone. Soul Medix has a passion for live performances, and customizing the band's ensemble to fit small functions, right up to large arena gatherings, makes them a perfectly affordable choice for your entertainment needs.

Soul Medix has many different attire's to choose from. We can discuss what is most appropriate.
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
There are live performance samples on our website.
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?
Yes!, in fact, we offer to learn 2 new songs for the bride & groom's opening dance, the father & bride dance, or just songs in general.
How much time do you usually need for setup?
It's dependant on the size of band you would like to hire. We guarantee our band will be set up & sound checked prior to your guests arrival time.
How much space do you usually require?
Again, depending on the band size. Our quartet is our smallest size, and does not require a large staging area.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
No. We place our business cards on both sides of the stage in case anyone is interested in contacting us.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
Special effects we offer include, Extra L.E.D. lighting (further than our basic set-up), bubble machine, strobe lighting, rotating disco ball with lighting, fog machine, & laser lighting.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
That depends on your request. Your may want to have your own emcee make any announcements, or we are able to emcee any requests.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
There are many ways to motivate dancing. Song choices, interaction with the guests, having a "guest" singer, taking requests plus many more options.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Given the time neccessary to load in, sound check, perform & load out, we would appreciate food & beverages to be available, although we do not demand a table setting at your reception dinner.
Do you play recorded music during your break?
Yes! We offer a complimentary Dj service with all of our packages.
If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan?
We have regular professional musicians that we call upon if sickness were to make one of our players unable to attend.
What is your overtime rate?
Our overtime rate is negotiatable.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
No. Our packages are priced with everything included. No extra charges are added.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
We require a 25% non-refundable deposit which secures your date & guarantees our service.
