Extremely professional, flexible, and fun! Would HIGHLY recommend for any occasion. Clean looking setup with no tacky advertising. He takes a lot of stress off planning because he does all the coordinating with the other vendors. Words can not express how fantastic mike was and how much fun our wedding was because of him!!!

Mike did an amazing job keeping to the timeline we provided and of course with the music at our reception at the Omni Severin. He was extremely professional throughout the planning process which left us not having to worry about a thing on our wedding day! He was priced extremely reasonably and we also used his up lights which looked fantastic. I'd highly recommend him to anyone!

Working with Mike was such a wonderful experience. He was involved, thorough, helpful, & willing to make the wedding experience as fun & easy as possible. He makes sure to go through your timeline, bridal party names, first dances & any other detail you want/need the day of your wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Mike at Sound Advice!! We chose him because he was mid-range as far as price, and he was AMAZINGLY responsive. I never had to wait more than 10 minutes to hear back from Mike when I tried to contact him. I know it sounds unrealistic, but it's true! To say that Mike is just a DJ would be selling him short. Mike coordinated our entire reception. He knew the schedule we wanted, and he contacted the other vendors to coordinate. His music library is HUGE, and he was able to locate a few obscure songs that we wanted to hear on our special day. He was very in-touch with the crowd. When my dad mentioned a song in his toast, Mike cued it up and played it in the background (at a moment's notice)! When the groomsmen wanted to hear a more inappropriate song, Mike waited for most of our guests to leave, playing popular songs to keep the guys on the dance floor. He played their request when the room had cleared out. Mike is so considerate, kind, professional and thoughtful. It is clear that he loves what he does. My husband and I can say without a doubt that this was the best choice we made about our reception. Mike helped make our day PERFECT!

Mike was very flexible with our requests and very quick to respond. One of my biggest things I wanted at my wedding was for the dance floor to be full...and it was all night!! Awesome job!

Words can not describe how great Mike was during my parents 50th Anniversary party!! From his helpfull website that helped us pick just the right songs to his knowledge on the spot for the songs we forgot we wanted until the last minute, Mike was available and ready to help with whatever we needed. He was also great about keeping the night moving, making sure toasts were done and the cake was cut. He even made sure to mark the exact time my parents were married 50 years before, and made sure they had a beautiful dance to mark the moment. Incredible DJ's make for an incredible reception. I knew from the moment I heard Mike's mad DJ skills, that when I got married, he would be the guy to hire! He truly delivers a unique, one-of-a-kind DJ experience. I am still getting compliments from guests! When I was reviewing local DJ's and I came across Mikes reviews I almost thought it was too good to be true, a great value with all these great reviews. But everyone was right. Mike was the best wedding vendor and best DJ we could ask for.

He truly cares about making your wedding the best night of your life. He makes the right suggestions and offers wonderful help and advice.

As for the music. it was the best!! Both my husband and I and all of our friends love to dance so this was the most important part of the wedding for us and Mike really exceeded our expectations.

Not to mention our wedding was at a personal residence so Mike had to bring in every last piece of equipment and he even helped mic the ceremony musician and officiant.

Mike did an excellent job at controlling the flow of our reception and reading the crowd. He also did an excellent job at following any requests that we made before the big day by being aware of the bride and groom and playing those requested songs only when we were on the dance floor. Mike even brought along his own photographer who captured a ton of really fun photos that he tagged us in on facebook. We were able to see and share some great pictures of our reception while still waiting for our own photographer to edit. He was also kind enough to make a CD of our important reception songs and handed it to us at the end of the night!

My husband and I kept going back and forth deciding between a band and DJ; however, when we talked on the phone with Mike - we knew that a DJ was the right choice for us! Mike's online event planning form made it so easy for us to plan out our entire reception! It was one of the only parts of the wedding planning process that was completely stress-free!! Mike was always available whenever we wanted to discuss details or had any questions and was always very accomodating and helpful. I would recommend this DJ to absolutely anyone - he kept all of our guests on the dancefloor all night long to the point where we actually had to call for an extra shuttle at the end of the night because no one wanted to take the earlier shuttles! He's awesome!

Mike was excellent! He returned all calls/emails very quickly, was prompt, professional, and delivered on all that was promised. His website allows you to choose what songs/song types you would like to have played (or not played) as well as search an almost infinite database of songs to have played. You can also listen to the songs as well. On the day of the wedding, the sound quality of the music was wonderful. Everyone at the wedding had an awesome time dancing and listening to the music. I would highly recommend!

Flexibility: I definitely made some last-minute adjustments and had some funky things that I wanted to do with the music (including surprising my groom with a live processional). Mike was right on cue every step of the way.

Value: We interviewed quite a few DJs. You won't find anyone that is as organized and professional, and yet so affordable.

Quality of Service: My (now) husband provided Mike with a list of eccentric songs that we both liked, but I knew people wouldn't be able to dance to. Mike took this list and found ways to incorporate several songs into the ceremony while also keeping everyone on the dance floor. This was the most I had ever seen anyone dance at ANY wedding! It was so great to see everyone enjoying themselves SO much and to have the dance floor packed for the last song.

Mike Campbell was absolutely amazing. We were able to meet with him at a Starbucks near my parents home, so that we could get a feel for him and his business. He is extremely professional and interested in making your wedding the way you want it to be. He wears a tuxedo, if you would like (which we did). He has an online system where you will list the schedule of major events for your reception (cake cutting, dances, bouquet toss etc...), so that he can make sure you stay on schedule. He is not pushy at all. There is a listing of "must play" music, "absolutely do not" play, and all of the mandatory music for the father/daughter dance, cake cutting, son/mother dance etc... He even gave us a CD of all of the mandatory music that we had picked which was a pleasant surprise! Now we can enjoy the music for years to come. There was someone that even requested a song during the reception, which seemed a little off from our classy type of wedding, so he came and asked us if that song would be okay - since we had not mentioned it. He definitely keeps an eye on things and makes sure nothing goes unnoticed. I was shocked that he asked us about the song. He did not ever try to steal the show like so many other DJs try to do at weddings. He was completely professional at all times, and we were so thrilled with our decision to have him DJ our reception.

One of the best things about our wedding day was not needing to worry about a thing.. A lot was due to having Mike Cambell DJ both our ceremony and reception at the Mavris in Indianapolis. Mike and his team are professional, quick to respond, and so easy to work with. The music was wonderful, our guests loved it. He worked with us ahead of time and listened to every request. I had an idea of what a wedding DJ should do: pick music according to my direction, and be a sort of emcee for the evening. However, Mike with Sound Advice did FAR more than that. He greeted the bridal party outside the reception and was ready to be flexible and make changes to the original program (because, on wedding day, lots of stuff tends to change!). He even took it upon himself to take care of us and make sure we were comfortable at the dinner table. The music was exactly what we were wanting, and he was a big part of making the evening memorable and enjoyable for everyone involved. His pricing was also below all the other DJs I had seen, and what we got was VERY WELL worth it! I would recommend Sound Advice to anyone, without exception.

This was one of the most professional DJ's I have ever experienced. He took the time to get to know a little bit about John and me and went above and beyond to include all of our wishes into the night. It meant a lot that he came out to recognize my grandparents as part of the celebration as well. Everything was well organized, and he definitely kept the party going!

Mike delivered on all of his promises to help us make our wedding reception outstanding! One of my guests told me that this was the best reception she's ever been to because of the DJ and everyone dancing. He really knows how to read the crowd and gets people out there dancing!

Words cannot describe how amazing Mike is! I cannot have imagined our reception without him. Our wedding coordinator was sick at the last second and could not make our wedding, and let me just say, with Mike there, we absolutely did not need one. He was the perfect professional in every aspect and new exactly what music to play and when. He even waited until the older crowd had left for the evening before he turned the volume up and started playing the music that only the younger crowd would really like. Mike even made sure our champange glasses were ready to go before the cake cutting and toast and made everything run so smoothly. I have recommended him to my friends, family, and even customers at work that I know are looking for a DJ. Mike was great! He met with me and my fiance 6 months in advance to go over our plans for the reception. He worked with us to make it perfect for our day. He's so friendly and very professional. Mike was awesome to work with. He provided many hours of great music. We really enjoyed the website he gave us to upload our timeline, choose each of our songs, and request music for the wedding. Mike was able to meet us where ever we needed him to around Indianapolis and was always on time. He showed up in a nice outfit and fit in with the crowd. His prices were just what I was looking for. He had some extra items that we did not use, but I am sure that they would have been great. Mike even went out of his way to help the staff at the reception hall and made sure that we were on schedule. We wanted some traditional music to be played and he was able to take our cd that we made for him and put the music on the day of. He was a great person for our DJ. I would pick him for any of our other parties that we have.

Mike was awesome! He did a wonderful job with our wedding planning AND event. He was the only DJ that already had some of the songs we were looking for! Mike played all we requested and filled in with music that matched our tastes. The song chosen for the mother/groom dance was a sentimental/shared song, but was a little less dance-ready, but Mike played with the tone and pitch and whatnot and made it perfect! He also included a lighting package and bubble machine to perfect our event. My only regret is having a Sunday wedding and thus the schedules of our guests required an earlier evening.

Mike was a blast to work with and was very accommodating. My biggest priority was making sure people were always entertained throughout my wedding and people stayed on the dance floor throughout the night--and he made sure of that to a "T." I would recommend him over and over again.

Mike did a great job at our wedding and also preparing us for our wedding. From the first time that we met with him we could tell that he did this not as a job, but because he truly loved it...at times I thought he might be more excited about our wedding that I was! Once we got to the reception we didn't have to do or worry about anything. Mike was on top of everything and the reception went on without one blip. Looking back on the reception we wouldn't have changed one thing about it and Mike was a major part of that. Thank you again Mike!

Mike Campbell was our DJ for our daughter's wedding and he is absolutely the best DJ we have ever seen!!
