They were easy to get a hold of. Were professional at our first meeting. We had selected music for our dance portion of the night with songs that both us and our guests loved (took hours to plug into their guide but we did it because it was the songs we know get the dancefloor full). Unfortunately the dj didn't follow our "please play" list and decided to play whatever he wanted which led to a loisy dancefloor. We mentioned we didn't want any "raunchy" songs and he played LL Cool J- Doin It which is definitely not wedding appropriate (actually made me so uncomfortable I left the room). Played Jump Around as the second last song of the night... this should be played at the beginning of the night - not the end when people are slowing down getting ready to leave. We had asked to meet with the dj two weeks before to go over details but was told my Tom (head guy) that everything has to go through him and that he tells the dj all the details. This proved to be inefficient as Tom failed to notify DJ that we wanted music during the signing of the licence and luckily our mucisian was able to fill in since DJ said he couldn't do this because he wasn't informed.
Overall - they seemed great upon first meeting them but failled to follow through the day of the wedding. The DJ did a great job with MC-ing and the game but failed to have the dancefloor full by playing mostly top 30 songs (which isn't great when majority of your guests are in there 40's and 60's. One of our guests even commented that he would play one great song and then one awful song.
Would not reccomend Sound Obsession to anyone. They didn't even play the one slow song we had requested on our "please play" list for significant reasons.
If music and having a fun & full dancefloor is your objective - don't go with this company - they ruined the most important part of the night to me by not listening and following through with what we had asked for.

We were so happy to have Thomas from Sound Obsession as the DJ at our wedding. He was a huge hit - many of our guests have commented to me that they thought the music was great, and that we had obviously picked a good DJ.
When we were planning the wedding, one of our biggest hopes was that people would dance, and our ideal night would have a packed dance floor right to the end -- but I knew from many of the weddings that I've attended that it's not always the case.
Well - we still can't believe how many people were still on the dance floor at 1:00 am, and consistently throughout the night too!! I can't get over what a great time it was! Apparently my Grandma's 84-year old sister and her "boyfriend" were even dancing to the current music?! Now THAT is a success story!
We also used Thomas for our ceremony music, and we were so impressed with how it worked out. I had a mini moment of panic at our rehearsal, realizing how hard it may be for the DJ to time everything, and to know when to play each song. But Thomas did it all perfectly! The timing was right-on and we loved the way he mixed some of our older and more current song choices! So cool! It's all a blur to me now, but I know at the time I was so wowed that it all worked out perfectly. And the entrance songs during the reception were great too - the perfect clips and timing.
He definitely played all the right songs at all the right times. The music is SUCH an important part of the day, and he nailed it.

Music and the DJ are an element that can make or break a wedding. Tom definitely made ours a night to remember forever and is still being talked about a year later. I'm so appreciative that he did such an amazing job.

Tom was the DJ at our wedding and he did an amazing job, played great music and everyone had a great time! I highly recommend Tom to anybody and everybody! If you choose to go with Sound Obsession DJ Services believe me you will not be disappointed!
