Sounds Like Fun DJ Service

They were great. I wasn't able to use Sounds Like Fun for my wedding because they were already booked but I used them for my company party.

They have a online client planning area that allows you to pick songs and put together the timeline together. It was really helpful. We had used a lot of DJ's in the past but they were much better than anyone else we had ever used before.

We booked our DJ really late in the game and were very lucky to find DJ Kelly with Sounds Like Fun DJ's. He was extremely professional, and seemed to do everything he could to make us happy. At the wedding he was friendly and fun, but not cheesy. One of the most important things for me was that he acted as a "reception coordinator" to keep everything moving and flowing based on our timeline. Because of this, I didn't have a care in the world once the reception started, because Kelly kept it all going for us. He included our special requests in nicely with music of his choice, which were perfect choices for our guests and our party. He also made for a really fun night. The dance floor was packed the entire night, and by the end the whole place was dancing and singing together (young and old). Many of our guests said it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding. How can you ask for more?

Allen and Dean (our DJ) were extremely responsive and quick to address any concerns we had about the wedding music/ sound. Knowing that we were working under a bit of budget crunch, Dean even comped us the outside speakers and ceremony time. His music variety kept the entire crowd happy, and us on the dance floor the whole night.

Sounds Like Fun DJ Service was perfect for us! They were available anytime we needed to talk. DJ Kelly did more than just play music. He also did games and other entertainment that we requested. He even put together a special song for our first dance. I highly recommend this company!

Sounds Like Fun provided a great service. My fiance and I weren't even sure we wanted a dj until very late in the game. Luckily, they were still available. Allen called me right away and was very helpful and professional. He got us in contact with our dj, Dean, whom was equally professional.
Dean was fantastic with our crowd. He seemed to really do a great job of reading the crowd and playing what we would want to hear. He was a great MC (who doesn't love an accent?) and had a great sense of humor. Everyone at my wedding told me how great they thought the DJ was!

We were so lucky to find DJ Kelly to help make our wedding as spectacular as possible. Kelly is extremely professional and really helped in the planning of the wedding. He provided many helpful tips and resources. Kelly is also an amazing listener. I didn't want any "cheese" at our wedding and he went out of his way to respect my wishes and make sure that the guests had a great time.
One of the greatest things that Kelly did for us was to make sure that the party kept moving. All of our guests had a wonderful time and were dancing the night away. He mixed the music very well and knew when to fade out a song to move onto the next one.
I have already recommended DJ Kelly and Sounds Like Fun to a number of our friends for their upcoming weddings!

After a thorough search and several phone interviews, I narrowed my DJ list down to Allen Layton. Unfortunately, Allen wasn't available on our date but, through Sounds Like Fun, he was able to hook us up with Dean Henderson and we couldn't have been happier. (Unbeknownst to me, Dean was the DJ our reception venue had recommended from the beginning! How ironic!) The communication throughout the planning process was phenomenal from both Allen and Dean.

Dean did a superb job guiding us with our reception scheduling prior to the big day. There was no doubt we were in good hands. This is the one vendor we really didn't have to worry about at all. He did a great job during the wedding as well. He even threw in a few quips that made everyone laugh. You get the idea that Dean could handle any crowd, from the most pompous to the wildest party and anything in between, and come off looking like the perfect DJ every time.

When our reception ended, the dance floor was packed. That's the way we wanted it. It's so much better than having people leave little by little and then the party just fizzles out. We wanted to leave them wanting more and Dean did a masterful job! All this and a reasonable price too. We highly recommend Sounds Like Fun!

My wife and I booked our DJ with Sounds Like Fun for our wedding in August 2009. We couldn't have been happier with our DJ, Dean Henderson. He was very professional and was in complete charge over the reception. He met with us a few times before the wedding to ensure that he knew us and to create a schedule for the reception. We knew before the wedding that we didn't have to worry about anything because he made us feel very comfortable. Our guests are still telling us how great our DJ was. He kept the reception going according to our schedule and he kept everyone laughing the whole night. He played great music, I saw family members dancing that I have never seen dance before and no one wanted to leave the dance floor, it was so much fun!! I would highly recommend Dean Henderson and Sounds Like Fun for every event!

I was referred to SOUNDS LIKE FUN by our reception site, however I checked into others. My husband and I were not disappointed! Dean Henderson, a charming English Gent, who is also a partner, met with us and was wonderfully helpful and accomodating to our requests. We had several "special songs" for family members who had tied the knot prior to ours. Dean very beautifully and graciously brought each couple up with about 1-2 minutes of "their song" which got the dancing going. They were also available any time we needed to communicate a particular request and they would offer suggestions surrounding that request. Wonderful!
SOUNDS LIKE FUN is especially attentive to YOUR DAY. Helpful suggestions were provided on line as well as availablity of referrals for any help they might be in other areas. An on line list is provided so that nothing is forgotten.
Delightful and totally professional in all areas, I would recommend SOUNDS LIKE FUN to anyone looking for DJ service for any ocassion...especially YOUR WEDDING.

What sold me about Sounds Like Fun, is that our DJ Allen was more than just a DJ. He provided a wonder selection of music, helped keeped everything on track for the day of timeline, and helped get key players where they needed to be when. Example my dad ready and lookin sharp before the father daughter dance. He was a life saver! Thre is so much going on the day of when your are finally in the "moment" that having someone keep you on task is imperative to having a successful day.

Sounds Like Fun DJ Service made our wedding reception so memorable. Their DJ really took the time to work with us and get to know us so he could help us have the perfect reception for us. He came up with a schedule to keep the important moments on track, i.e. our arrival, first dance, toasts, cutting the cake. He also came up with some games to play during the reception to keep the energy level up. I probably couldn't have picked a better company to go with and I would recommend them to all of my friends.

Allen was the DJ that we chose. We were referred to him by our wedding reception site. After meeting him for the first time, we felt he was very professional and very experienced at providing great DJ service. Not only does he play music, but he coordinates the entire event. Since he is experienced he knows what a wedding entails from start to finish, and plays great music accordingly. He kept the "drinking" bridal party in line, guiding them from one step to the next. I would recommend Allen as a first choice in DJ service. He makes the entire day run smooth, and even the entire process leading up to the service. Brides, and Grooms have so much to take care of prior to the event, well, Allen makes it so much easier. He is on top of it. If you question wether to book him for an extra hour, go with it!!

We had very little time to plan our wedding but we were very lucky to find Joe to dj for us. He did an excellent job and we would recommend him for any event. Very friendly and made our wedding planning so much easier.

We worked with Allen Layton for our wedding on June 26th, 2009. He was an amazing DJ and we would highly recommend him to anyone considering using his services.

He met with us 3 separate times to help up plan our timeline & choose music. (He was willing to meet as much as we wanted in order for us to feel comfortable about our selections.)

Also, he had 5 weddings....Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, & Monday. We were the Friday night wedding. Even though he had a lot on his plate, we still felt very well taken care of and he was very well prepared!

The day of the wedding he did an excellent job of maintaining the timeline and sequence of events. I didn't realize how important this was, but it was wonderful to just enjoy the wedding & and not have to worry about what was next. (Allen took care of getting us where we needed to be....by the cake, on the dance floor, etc.)

We've recommended him to 5 of our close friends who are getting married in 2009 and 2010. He books up fast, so if you want him, make sure you talk to him early!

"Sounds like fun" did such a great job on our wedding. From the moment we met the DJ, he was extremely professional. He had back-up plans for things we had never even considered might go wrong! But nothing did...from helping us put together the schedule ahead of time and selecting songs, to knowing how to pronounce all the names for introductions, to acting almost as the wedding coordinator on the day of, the DJ really helped us feel comfortable about the whole event and able to relax. he had wonderful suggestions to incorporate our style with his experiences of what has worked in the past. He had a WIDE array of music and was able to help all of our guests enjoy themselves and get on the dance floor. Everything just ran so smoothly and he adapted well to all the unexpecteds...like an impromptu speech from my father and even the 4.7 earthquake that happened during cake cutting (I am not kidding, and our DJ was absolutely great!)
