DJ Ewok with Soundsations did an EXCELLENT job with our wedding reception!!

He and DJ Lojack together make a great team and had everything ready for us. Ewok covered when we had a transportation snafu and had to wait about an hour for a member of the wedding party to arrive, he made sure the guests knew what was going on, apologized for us, and kept everyone waiting entertained. We had to do a couple things on the fly and that threw all of us off, but again, he and Lojack kept it going so no one from the outside looking in knew things were off kilter. We cut things out last minute (like a couple traditional dances) because of the timing snafu but he and Lojack didn't miss a beat and were incredibly accomodating. They had all the music together that we wanted, suggested some great things for the music prior to our arrival, and were able to make a reception reflective of us as a couple with totally opposite tastes in some music. :) It was exactly as we wanted it! When folks didn't know how to do certain dances, he taught them and got things going, the music was age appropriate (we're 40-somethings with our parents, peers, and teens on the guest list) high energy, perfect! Every single photograph of the reception has people smiling and happy - we were thrilled with the service!

Side notes:
Soundsations utilizes a web-based platform that shows you all the different things that people do for wedding receptions, intro songs, cake songs, this song, that song, it can be overwhelming at first, but it is a wonderful tool - it links to a huge database of music and keeps the top 100(?) requested songs for whatever category you're looking at updated in real time. Start planning your music EARLY so you don't miss anything - great dates for us while we were reminiscing through the database picking ours.
We wanted a couple out of the ordinary songs that weren't readily available, however, Ewok found them for us to use - thank you!
Ewok and Lojack add a certain air to the reception... they maintain an elegant affair and feeling but turn it into a rocking party where everyone has fun! Even my 91 year old grandmother, her best friend, and my handicapped uncle were on the dance floor.
Ewok takes care of you, he runs the show on the timeline you've discussed before hand, knows who the contact people are, and calms your nerves so you are able to just enjoy... ahhh... We had a blast!

Soundsations were great to work with!!! Really great value and our DJ, Michelle, was amazing!! Everything was done right on cue and she was very professional!

Dj Ewok was a total blast high energy,funfilled ,night he made are High school dance The best. Got out In the crowd and danced with everone!!! Played everthing and then some.He was Great since the other dj company backed out 24 hrs before show time!!!! U want high energy and a fun dj for all DJ Ewok is that!!!

They did a great job at our wedding! I was especially impressed with the initial conversation with them before the wedding. Shannon asked us if we wanted specific songs for things at the wedding that we hadn't even thought about or remembered that those things were supposed to happen! :) We had a wonderful experience with Soundsations and would definitely use them again! We had an amazing night! :)

Our DJ was so nice and so friendly, but I could tell the organization was a bit off. A few of the songs for certain moments that I had wanted played were not. For example, I picked out a song for the Bridal Party Intoductions, but a completely different song was played (a popular one for bridal party intros, but something I would never have picked). They were on time and reliable at the wedding, but would sometimes be hard to get ahold of during the planning...

Amazing! We had the best night ever because of our DJ Jim! Their website allows you to pick what songs you want played and the exact details and he got it all perfect. We also had a rowdy crowd and he managed to keep everyone on the dance floor all night! I only wish the reception could have lasted longer!

Ben did a great job!

Jim was awesome! He played the music for both the ceremony and reception and gave us great ideas for both. He was a great MC of the evening and a pleasure to work with. We had a great time dancing and we loved the unique music for the ceremony.

Mark from Soundsations was a great DJ for our ceremony and reception at Morningside Inn. Things got so hectic before the wedding that we ran out of time to meet with him in person, so we did everything via email. It all went perfectly at the wedding. He played everything at the right time and even got in my requests despite the fact that I only spent about 20 minutes total on the dance floor. He did a good job of mixing in music from my husband's country for his family to enjoy. He helped me figure out how to introduce a complicated family, dealt easily with things we told him last minute, and made sure he was pronouncing names correctly. Our wedding was almost entirely stress-free and Mark was definitely a part of that.

Our DJ did a great job. It was wonderful working with someone who was so familiar with our reception venue (Morningside Inn). The evening went off seamlessly. And we couldn't be happier!

Overall, we were very happy with Soundsations. Shannon was very friendly and helpful when we met with her before the wedding. She was willing to get obscure songs for us that she didn't have in her collection, and she agreed to putting together our pre-selected playlist for dinner, etc. She was great with the introductions and all the MC duties, and kept the dance floor full til the end. The website was fantastic for searching their database and putting together a list of songs for introductions, cake cutting, etc. For the price, I feel like we got exceptional service.

Our only small beef is that we weren't big on the Top 40 Lady Gaga type of stuff. Shannon agreed not to play it unless requested, and by the end of the reception it was mostly all this type of music. It most certainly didn't ruin our time, and we realize it kept our guests out there on the floor, but we were a little disappointed to realize at the end of the night that we'd not heard some of our favorite requested songs.

Shannon did a wonderful job. We couldn't have been happier with the music that she played - EVERYONE danced at our wedding! She took requests and had everything. We left the music selection during cocktails and dinner up to her and it was perfect. Several people have requested contact info.

Mark was our DJ from Soundsations and he was amazing!! Mark made sure to meet with us a couple of weeks before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page and he had all of the requests, etc straight. Mark was very personable throughout the night, but there was never the vibe of being a "cheesy" DJ.

At one point he played the newer version of the Cha Cha Slide (the name of the song is slipping my mind) and when nobody got up on the dance floor to dance to it, he stopped the music and got out on the dance floor to get everyone up and dancing! This is exactly what we wanted.

They are realiable, have great equipment, and will do exactly what you want the "feel" of the music to be at your wedding! They are a great value for the cost as well. Thank you Mark & Soundsations!

Wow! I am so happy I booked Soundsations. Shannon did an amazing job. She met with me twice in advance (once when I was considering Soundsations...and she even accommodated my request to rebook due to stomach flu) and once before the wedding to discuss music. The database was easy to use to find music to play at the reception, but she used it as a guide and interspersed other great music to keep people up and moving on the dance floor. She was very low-key and unobtrusive yet announced everything perfectly. She was extremely professional and also kind and fun to work with. She even devised a system to prevent relatives from forcing us to kiss all night (haha!). Not only that, but the price was excellent. I think our wedding was very fun and a big part of it was due to Shannon's great work at the reception. Thanks a million, Shannon!

Soundsations saved the day...The Dj I had booked was nowhere to be found, & left us 6 weeks out. I called Soundsations they matched us with someone who could meet our needs. Mark was a great fit for us. I didn't want the traditional wedding march & so on. We had a mid-day wedding so I told him to play what happened to fit the mood. He did a great job, getting abit of everything. Songs that we requested not to be played were not played. One song "The Chicken Dance" I requested not to be played, was requested by the kids. Mark let me know of the request & how could I say no to all the cute kids. I loved the fact he respected me enough to ask to play it first before just playing it.

Jim at Soundsations was amazing! We had to fire a DJ (with a diff company) last minute, and as soon as we spoke with Jim, we knew he would be the perfect DJ for the job. He was willing to meet with us, help us pick songs, and added to out list based on the "vibe" we were looking for. We spent over 2 hours on a Saturday just talking to him! And during the wedding he kept our guests happy and on the dance floor! We had such a great time, thanks Jim! The music was perfect and your personality really added to the event! You did a great job!

Ben Logee of Soundsations did a great job as our DJ, providing music from the beginning of our ceremony through our send-off. We knew he would do a good job because of the great time we had at my cousin's wedding, which he also DJ'd. He definitely got people out on the dance floor and kept the event moving. My guests said there was never a boring moment at our event! We especially liked the string quartet versions of contemporary songs that Ben played. I strongly recommend Ben to anyone looking for a wedding DJ!

Soundsations was recommended to me by our wedding vendor and I was so glad that I took the recommendation. Mark provided the music for both the ceremony and the reception. I did not get to meet him prior the wedding (we live pretty far apart), but we spoke on the phone, and even then I could tell he was going to be fun. He had great suggestions for music for different points in the ceremony and he played *most* of the songs that we wanted to hear (I say that because my husband and I worked on a specific list and he did not play all the songs. In the end, it didn't matter - we had a blast! Bonus points to Mark for not playing the Electric Slide, despite my MIL begging to hear it - thanks Mark!!!

Jim was so much fun to work with! First of all, we were the day time wedding at Ceresville Mansion and he was already booked for the evening so he gave us a big discount to book, awesome! We met with him and he helped us figure out all of the songs we needed. He's got every song too, even the more obscure ones we wanted. We also told him what songs NOT to play and he totally stuck to that, even when my sisters requested songs. He was a fun emcee and played good, not cheesy, music and people danced the entire day!!

Shannon from Soundsations is an amazing DJ. She had everything under control all day/night long. She took any requests that were given and played them per our directions (play them if they fit with our style, don't play them if they don't fit with our style). She kept things moving right on time and made sure that things were done the way we had wanted them. She played every song I listed as "Must be played" and fit in most of the "try to play" songs. She even played songs from our own collection that she did not have.
We would definitely reccommend them very highly and would most definitely use Soundsations again.

Jim from Soundsations was great, he was easy to work with although sometimes hard to get in touch with. He came highly recommended by Ceresville Mansion and was a great value for the reasonable price. My only compliant was that I did not like the music and sound clips that he played to end the reception because I found it tacky and not in keeping with the feeling of the reception. I wish this was something that had been discussed beforehand.

Soundsations did an excellent job. To be exact, Ben did an excellent job. He has a great personality and was easy to work with. He cares about his work and the events, and it shows. He even got out on the dance floor and showed us some dances. Working with this vendor was great and I highly recommend them.

Jim and Shannon were great to work with, and they have AMAZING online planning tools that helped me really plan out which songs would and would not be played. Jim and his son DJ'ed for our ceremony and our reception, and they kept things moving and people on the dance floor all night long. Jim was even able to find the song I wanted for my father/daughter dance at the last minute, which made it so special. I would highly recommend them!

Soundsations provided us with a fabulous DJ at a great price! They helped us plan out every aspect of our wedding reception and provided us with suggestions for songs and dances. This was a good DJ, did everything I asked and was a lowkey presence at the reception. They got two songs for us that were not on their traditional playlist and were very helpful.

I heard about soundsations through my mom, who's in the wedding business - she'd heard a lot of good things about Mark - so I requested him for my event. I VERY highly recommend this guy:

-very professional
-NOT cheesy
-makes your announcements, but doesn't talk forever
-great taste in music - everyone LOVED him!
-and he had such a great attitude - very laid back and fun!

I had to cancel two of my previous DJ's from other companies because of unprofessionalism - one wouldn't call me back for months, and the other I heard a horror story from about how he made cheesy jokes and talked the whole reception. So believe me, we were so happy when we found soundsations!

Soundsations was the perfect choice for my wedding. They were easy to work with and had every song we wanted. She was even sick on our wedding day, but you would never have known it. Very professional and very nice people.

They were very easy to work with and answered all the questions I had during my wedding process. Mark was the DJ the day of our wedding and he did a great job! He played all the songs I'd asked him to and was a great addition to our reception. I met with him prior to the wedding to pick out all the songs and he knew all the songs I was talking about. He even had a few suggestions to help make things flow more smoothly. I'm very pleased with Soundsations, I feel that they helped make my evening perfect.

The DJ had the place bumping! They played the oldies but goodies for the old heads and the crazy music these kids are listening to for the younger generation at our wedding. They also had all “clean” music, a special request for our super religious parents!

Very professional and easy to contact. Had a great phone consultation with my DJ in advance. Their website is great--you can plan everything and make song requests online, which was very helpful. My only complaint would be that I asked for a few specific songs that I ended up not hearing--maybe we ran out of time? But overall I was very happy with them!

We loved that we could go online at any time and add or delete songs from our play list. Our DJ also made sure to keep in contact with us way before the wedding all the way through the day before (yes, she was there working with us the day before finalizing our play list!). She was awesome on the day of...I have been told by so many of our guests that they have never been to a wedding where 98% of the guests were on the dance floor the ENTIRE time!!! Mark was our DJ and he did a great job. I found the company hard to get in touch with sometimes which was stressful as the wedding approached and we had no response for a few days frequently. However, the day of, everyone raved about the DJ, so it all worked out.
