I am so glad we found Fred Behney to be our DJ. He made the planning process incredibly easy. I am not very good at party planning (or knowing which songs are cool) but with Fred's help, I threw together the best party I have ever attended. He had the whole crowd dancing all the way until the very end of the party and everyone was dancing - even the grandparents! I don't think I have ever seen so many people out on the dance floor at a wedding, dancing to everything from The Twist to Macklemore's Thrift Shop.

During the planning process, I could call him whenever I wanted and knew he would respond quickly. The day of the wedding would not have gone as smoothly as it did without him. He arrived early to the venue, directed the bridal party to where they needed to be and made sure I was happy and knew where I needed to be. He was dressed professionally, was very personable to everyone and we kept hearing all night what a great DJ he was.

I would definitely hire Fred again - if I ever thought I could top this party.

What else can I say but Well Done ! You executed a flawless wedding for us and the music and lighting were perfect. The lighting colors were amazing and created an ambiance for the evening. Thank you for making the room look so pretty. I know the challenges you faced with all the different rooms but you managed to do everything including being the best master of ceremony I could have ever imagined. Thanks for keeping us on time. Music is the magic of an event like this and I thank you sincerely for all your hard work and your talent. Many guests commented on how good you looked and they thought you were part of our bridal party. You looked marvelous! He had a great attention to detail in the planning stage to ensure everything went smoothly, and he was very flexible for being able to meet with us. Fred was a true pleasure to work with not only as we planned our wedding, but on our big day as well. He provided us beautiful music throughout our ceremony including the preludes, recessional, and music during our sand ceremony. He assisted with guiding our guests for a group photograph following the ceremony. He worked great with our photographers, making sure they were apprised of everything going on - including the group photo, toasts, cake cutting, and bouquet/garter tosses. Fred provided us beautiful white uplighting for our reception. Our reception was black and white with accents of pink. The white uplighting provided that extra special touch and completed the room. Finally, Fred led our reception and made it a night to remember. He included our entire play list, allowed guests to provide requests, and created a time of oldies, newbies, and those songs in between. He was able to get all the guests up and dancing! Fred was very easy to work with. He was incredibly professional the day of the wedding - wearing a tux with all of our colors. He touched base with us and our photographers throughout our night to make sure everything was going the way we expected. He was flexible, not on a set schedule. He assessed the flow of the wedding and tweaked things as we went along. Fred and Heather, our wedding coordinator at the Hotel Hershey, have worked together for years. This made our entire wedding flow easily without snags or hiccups. Overall, we can’t thank Fred enough for his hard work in providing us an unforgettable day.

Fred is the best DJ i've ever seen - or worked with. He was always there to answer my questions and make my wedding go exactly how I wanted it to go. He took all of my song requests and made them happen and played everything people wanted to hear. He also offered some up lighting that just made the reception room like a fairy tale, it looked so, SO gorgeous, I couldn't imagine not having it. If you're ever thinking about up lighting - the answer is YES. He was fun, professional and it was just an awesome experience with a great person. Soundwave DJs made our wedding reception AWESOME. The DJ, Fred, made the reception flow perfectly. He even provided some fabulous lighting that matched my wedding colors! It made the sweetheart table the spotlight! Additionally, we also had the photo booth, which was completely awesome as people could leave fabulous videos and take fun pictures during the reception! My wife Jessica and I tied the knot on July 21 and had our reception at Heritage Hills Golf Resort. Chris was our DJ and did a fantastic job for our reception. We met with Chris before the wedding and he was able to understand the music and atmosphere we were looking for. He was able to customize our music to our preferences and made sure that guests were on the dance floor the whole time. Multiple guests commented on our DJ and how good his selections were. At the end of the night, the catering manager told us that he had never seen that many people on the dance floor the whole night. I would highly recommend Chris as a DJ for your wedding.

Randy "Rock" Johnson was our DJ and he did a great job for us. The music was what we had chosen and he kept everyone on the dance floor. During the planning stage they were very flexible and made it clear that they were open to all of our input and would base the entertainment on what we wanted. The announcements were handled in a professional and efficient manner. We would recommend Randy to anyone who wants to have a great time that is handled professionally and the way you want it to be.

Fred was great! He communicated with us frequently and was very helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process. Since our venue and set up location was new to him he came out prior to the wedding to be prepared. My now husband and I knew we wanted a top notch DJ, and not one we had never met that was provided by an agency or large DJ company. You just never know what you’re going to get. So we did our research and found Fred Behney and Soundwave DJ’s. The first time we met with him we were sold. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing, and we felt we could trust him to emcee not only the reception but our ceremony as well. He was professional, polite, amicable and just totally AWESOME. He met with us several times to go over everything from music, to meeting us at the venue. All I had to do was go over the flow of the day with him and he had it down. The day of the wedding was flawless and seamless. Everything flowed beautifully and perfectly. It started on time, the music wasn’t too loud or too soft, it was queued just right and all the kinds of songs we did or did not want were respected. Fred was an amazing DJ. My fiance and I searched through several different DJs before we finally found Fred and he was perfect for our wedding. My family does not normally dance but as soon as he started playing EVERYBODY was up and dancing. He played everything that was on our must play list and nothing that was on our do not play. He played a huge variety of music too. We had several people comment on our DJ and my mother-in-law said she thought he was the best DJ she ever heard at a wedding. I would book him for anything else in an instant.

Fred was the PERFECT choice for our wedding! He was so easy to work with during the planning process, be it meetings or phone calls or emails, he was always able to answer any questions we had leading up to our big day. The day of the wedding, Fred was very behind the scenes. It was very clear that he knew what we wanted and expected. The only time we really spoke to Fred the day of was when we were getting ready for our entrance so he could make sure he pronounced everyone's names correctly. After that he let us enjoy our night to the fullest! He played a great mix of slow songs and dance songs. He did such a great job that he never once had to tell our guests to get up and dance...they did so all on their own! We used SoundWave DJ's for our July 3rd wedding and could not be happier with our choice. They responded to every email/phone call by the end of the day with the highest level of professionalism. Fred is fabulous!!! He was wonderful with my husband and I, he made sure to accommodate us the best he could. He really took the time to know us and what we were like and that made a huge difference. We were able to pick our own music and use his experience to help with items outside of the music aspect. For example, creating the best timeline possible for our day. Not only to get everything in while our photographers and videographers are there but also to make sure our guests weren’t bored!
Fred did a great job with our other vendors, and the vendors like him. He did a great job of making sure when we were doing a "major" event that my photographer and videographer were there to capture the event too.
He also does a great job feeding off the crowd for music selection. Our reception was fabulous and we felt like it was a family party, we had everyone dancing and singing all night, it was great!

Fred was amazing! He is extremely professional, has a great speaking voice, he truly knows how to add great touches to make the reception all that much more spectacular. He has great ideas to help plan different aspects of the evening, he works well with the other vendors and staff of the venue. The wedding has been over for a while now and we have plans to meet for dinner. We consider him a good friend.

Fred came all the way down to Baltimore to meet with me and to do a wonderful job at my wedding ceremony and reception! He is so easy to work with and professional! Fred was extremely helpful in the planning of our wedding reception, especially given the fact that Fred, me and Drew were in three different locations throughout the entire planning process. Fred's ability to communicate clearly and efficiently over email, individual phone calls and conference calls was very impressive and he was always more than willing to accommodate our ever-changing schedules.

His attention to detail during our reception exceeded our highest expectations and the night flowed perfectly due to his efforts. Fred did a great job of multi tasking as well, not only was he playing our custom music selections, but he was also working with the hotel kitchen to coordinate timing, keeping our photographer informed about the activities of the night, taking song requests, making announcements, etc. He created an electrifying environment and people did not leave the dance floor! We also greatly appreciated the extra time and effort he put into helping our friend Joel set up his guitar so he could play a surprise song dedicated to us.

We still continue to receive compliments from our guests on how fantastic our wedding DJ was. We will never forget our time spent with Fred during the planning process, and, thanks to him, we have come away with amazing memories of our wedding reception!

Our DJ, Jay, was exactly what we were looking for - he played the kind of classy, fun music that we had wanted. He hit pretty much every song on our request list, and avoided modern R&B/rap nonsense that pretends to be danceable music. These DJ's did my sister's wedding five years ago, and they were awesome back then as well.

He helped me arrange a group shoot of over 200 guests from the balcony of the Hotel Hershey and centered the bride and groom, bridal party and family all in the front of the shot.
