Deciding to hire a wedding planner was an easy decission once we met Tanya. The bride and Tanya clicked right from the beginning and continued a great relationship throughout the whole process. Tanya was there everytime we needed her, assisting in picking out flowers, rental items, a venue, etc. Tanya has a great team that took everything by the reins when the weather got bad for an outside wedding and moved the whole set up inside. You could not even tell that the wedding was not supposed to be at a different location.

Tanya gave us many options for chosing our venue (Wyndham Riverwalk), photographer (Christy Whitehead Photography), florist (Blossoms & Accents, Inc), rental company (Beachview), bakery (Metro Cakes), DJ (Footloose Entertainment), and Carriage Rental (Pinto Carriage Works). She went out of her way to make sure we had appointments to visit different venues to fit our schedules.

I can not say enough about Southern Charm Weddings & Events other than they are the ones to chose.

I don't even know where to begin with how amazing Southern Charms Events is. I got engaged in May of 2011 and my mom and I dove right into wedding planning ourselves. After becoming extrememly overwhelmed and unlucky with finding a wedding venue we turned to the internet and some friends for reccommendations; and that is where we found Tanya with Southern Charms Events. We set up a meeting and from the second we walked in the door and gave her my ideas she started spitting out everything we needed to hear and pretty much had my entire wedding planned exactly as I had envisioned. I was a full service bride and Tanya put up with my very demanding and picky butt!! Tanya went above and beyond in getting everything organized for me. I was experiencing my first year as a teacher while planning my wedding and I would have to say without Tanya and her Southern Charm Team my wedding would have been a disaster. She knows exactly what she is doing and is amazing at everything she does.

Without Southern Charm organizing my wedding - It would not have happened! Thank God for Tanya and her team because she made sure our special day was perfect! I'd recommend her to a friend, family member, or any one else I hear planning a wedding!

Tanya and her staff are WONDERFUL! We planned our wedding in 7 months and literally could not have done it without her. Her recommendations for vendors were excellent and saved us a lot of time. Southern Charm is respected in the Jacksonville area, helping their clients get the best service and prices from others. Can't say enough good things about them!

I live in Naples, Fl and my daughter Kathleen who was the bride and the groom live in Tampa. My daughter found Tanya/Southern Charm from a Bridal Show. We had the wedding at The Club Continental. Tanya was more of a wedding coordinator for us and I wish I would have used her for the whole wedding. She went way beyond what I ever could have imagined she would do. She coordinated the rehearsal and wedding, helped me find vendors, the pastor, made a very detailed schedule of what the wedding party, and guests should do before and at the wedding. My daughter and I had the decorations planned for each table (with a picture of how they should be set up on each box) since we were having to travel with them to Jax. Tanya brought a huge team of people to set up the tables including a decorator so that I wouldn't have to. You only have 2 hours to set things up at the Club, so it was so nice to be able to get ready without being rushed. The tables were beautiful!! Everything was perfectly organized and on time and I'm so grateful for how hard Tanya and her team worked for us. She was the best value out of everything we spent on the wedding and I would highly recommend her company for your wedding!!

The Southern Charm Events staff was professional and easy to work with! I would highly recommend their team as wedding coordinators. They are very organized as well as flexible.

I hired Tanya as the day-of-coordinator. She was very responsive during the six months leading up to the wedding. Any questions I had she answered promptly. She made us work out details that we would have otherwise forgotten. She was very helpful in assisting with developing a timeline for the big day. Despite many last minute changes, she kept everything in order. The wedding day was everything I had hoped for. Everything ran smoothly and timely. I did not feel rushed. We had plenty of time for pictures (which was the most important thing to me) and dinner. I was very happy with Tanya and her staff.

Tanya with SCE was absolutely amazing! Every last detail to my daughter's wedding was seen to and I was able to truly enjoy the rehearsal and the day of the wedding with my daughter, knowing that everything was taken care of. I could NOT have done it without her! The whole SCE team was amazing! I would reccomend them to anyone that's looking for a wedding planner or coordinator that really cares about her brides & can take care of everything from beginning to end... down to the very last minute of the event! I found Southern Charm by chance through Facebook one day. That was one of the luckiest days of my life. Working with Tanya was a breeze. She is so responsive and detailed. She referred me to the best vendors all of whom were reasonably priced including her services. When I met with my vendors, they were all glad to be working with her. If not for her, I would of forgotten about dozens of important details. On my wedding day, I didn't have to do much but get myself to the venue on time. Everything ran smoothly because Tanya and her team were there. She made sure that my wedding day was stress free for me. Her team checked up on the groom and I frequently to make sure we had drinks/food which I didn't expect. Tanya is my MOB defiant, bubbles snatching, speed sewing, loss and hazard preventing wedding planner. =)She is among the best in the business and I am so blessed to have found her. I can't imagine my wedding day without her being a part of it. It would of been a mad house without her attention to detail and experienced hand. We were so happy to run across Southern Charm Events. My husband and I had a destination wedding. We live in Georgia and we had our wedding in Jacksonville beach, FL. Tanya and Southern Charm Events saved our wedding. Our original vendor that was supposed to be arranging our beach wedding was horrible on getting back to me. Finally I found myself on my last trip to Jacksonville beach basically in tears from the lack of communication. We were having a hard time finding someone else, because our wedding was on Memorial day weekend. We were tired of hearing "it's impossible", since invitations were already out, and changing the date was not an option. My sister found Southern Charm somewhere online and we went to see Tanya, at my sister's persistence. Best thing we ever did! Tanya listened to our story, had a quote to us the next week and we were bonded at the hip. I would literally e-mail her when things came to my mind and she always replied before the day was up. She found us a cake lady, DJ, florist, transportation, set up for the beach wedding, hotel that provided great group rates, etc with only 2 months left till the wedding date. Literally the only thing we had was the reception area with catering, the photographer and videographer. I have to say after hiring Southern Charm Events I was able to sleep at night. Our wedding was beautiful and flowed seamlessly. We opted to do our own decorations, but Southern Charm still had additional decorative items that we were able to use. We even had a time line (which I would suggest you print out and give to someone to make sure you follow it). I am a self proclaimed perfectionist that would prefer to do things myself, but Southern Charm Events was the next best thing! I would recommend them to everyone and can't thank them enough!

My fiancee and I explained to Tanya our vision for our wedding including our budget.
She went out of her way to help us have the perfect day with everything we requested and more. She was able to save us quite a bit by putting us in touch with Judy's Cakes who did a beautiful job and also recommended exactly the amount of cake we would need for the occasion.
On our wedding day, Tanya and her assistant came early to help our friend with the design of the reception luncheon tables. When we were having difficulty getting in touch with the instrumentalists for the ceremony, Tanya made a point to keep calling the director until he got in touch with us. When my fiancee had a special request for a special song for our first dance, she found a way to see that it happened just the way he wanted it in spite of the instrumentalist not having it in their repetoire.
Seven weeks before the wedding, my future mother in law passed away unexpectedly and my future father in law became very ill requiring us to be out of town. I got home two weeks before the wedding and my fiancee only 5 days prior to. Things were very trying during this time with us caught up in planning and implimenting a funeral while taking care of an elderly parent living in another state.
We simply could not have had the perfect day without Tanya's willingness to go the extra mile for us by communicating with all the necessary vendors and making sure that everyone was on board while at the same time communicating with us to relieve any concerns. When the officiant couldn't make it to the rehearsal, Tanya came and directed that even though she had a very small window of opportunity to do so.
You can not do any better when planning for any special event, than to have Tanya Hendricks of "Southern Charm Events" on board!

Tanya, was so wonderful to work with, she is not a day of coordinator she is an overall coordinator, beginning with our first meeting, I knew this was exactly the type of person I needed to make all the small details of my day come together. She contacted all vendors and made sure that we understood all our contracts and made sure everything went according to schedule (she even created an extremely detailed timeline for the event, to keep everyone on track). We had a problem with out DJ but Tanya took it and dealt with it without the Groom or I ever having to lift a finger. She is truly a dream come true for any bride!

We are very detailed, organized individuals and have had years of experience in the hospitality industry but did not want to coordinate it all and enjoy the beautiful day! We called on Tanya to help us pull everything together and make sure all went off with out a hitch. She was extremely helpful, detailed and just what we needed. She also added that wonderful "southern charm" that a lot of people have lost when it comes to a special event. She had to step in and take care of few hickups and did it without missing a beat and we were so thankful not to have dealt with that on such an important day. We would recommend her to any bride and she's worth every penny!

Tanya has handled our son's wedding, a large Cinco de Mayo party, as well as coordinating a very large and detail oriented high school reunion, where I first saw her talent and professionalism hard at work. I would recommend her and her vendors when planning any occasion large or small...Tanya allowed my wife and I the freedom to sit back and enjoy the festivities knowing that with her involvement, the smallest of details would be attended to, and that we actually saved money by having Tanya make all of the arrangements.

Tanya Hendricks of Southern Charm Events is the best wedding planner you could ever have. From a business point of view she has the best prices and she is very professional. She is always on time and she is always aware of what is going on around her and around her bride. She does everything to make the bride and groom feel like family and just have a wonderful time. On a personal level, I became very close with Tanya. It is hard not to with her fun, outgoing, and loving personality. I felt very confident having her handle the planning for my wedding. If I ever had any questions I could call her anytime and she would always be there with the answer. I don't think there was ever a time that she didn't have the answer to one of my questions. On the wedding day usually most brides are nervous that something is going to go wrong. I wasn't nervous at all on my wedding day. I was very relaxed and all I had to do was focus on myself and my husband. Tanya took care of the rest! All in all I think that every bride should have Tanya as their wedding planner. She will give you the wedding of your dreams!

Tanya is AMAZING! No matter what you hire her for, she is there for everything! I had a little conflict with one of my vendors 10 days prior to my wedding. Tanya dropped everything she was doing to help us out. She sat there for 2 hours with us, coached us in how to solve it, and had a back up solution waiting if things didn't smooth out. She truly LOVES planning weddings, and puts her heart and soul into it. I would recommend her to everyone!!!!!!!!!

Tanya was wonderful. She was only supposed to help the day before and the day of the wedding, but as soon as we hired her she started contacting all of the vendors. The only thing I had to do was show up!! She is professional and she knows how to take care of her brides.
