Laura at Southern Events was helpful and made great suggestions for my daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. The men that delivered the items were friendly and professional. We felt we were in great hands with Southern Events.

The women at Southern Events knew exactly what i wanted and made it happen. They were very flexible with my budget and up until about a week before we were still adding and subtracting items. I used the mixed china set for place settings and it was so perfect. also ask about getting the new whiskey barrels. we used them for bistro tables and the cake table. we used 2 couches some chairs and it just felt like a living room was discovered in the woods which is exactly what i was going for. I never could have done all this on my own. These women are amazing and their team just put it up and took it down right before my very eyes. i was amazed.
If i ever need a rental company for anything in the future i will go straight to Southern...

I used southern event rentals for my wedding rental company and I was beyond impressed. I worked with Laura Wall on my order and this was by far the most fun part of wedding planning! I had a certain vision and she emailed back and forth with me constantly, sharing ideas, providing suggestions and then amending my order accordingly. She also worked with me to make sure that for my basic catering order - I got pieces which were affordable and within my budget. I looked at all nashville area rental companies and I was very impressed with southern events inventory but beyond this, their price point was very reasonable, if not more affordable than the larger rental companies - the difference is they provide much more individualized service and flawless execution on the day of the wedding.

Southern Events provided chairs, tablecloths, and napkins for my daughters wedding. They had a great selection of colors/fabrics to choose from for our table decor. We requested special delivery/pick-up of our rental items, and they were very accommodating. Everything arrived on time. Our decor was beautiful! Thanks to Jill and everyone at Southern events.

Southern Events did a great job with the setup of our wedding reception. Laura, the sales rep, was really helpful when it came down to picking our linens, etc and worked directly with our caterer (Chef's Market) and reception venue (Durego) to make the space look spectacular.

One item was missing from the original pick-up and we were able to call them for an instant delivery to the site...way to save the day!! The styling of linens and accessories were more elegant than I ever dreamed I would have at my wedding. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...ask for Laura, she's amazing!!! :o)

Excellent customer service! Laura was the best! She was very helpful with suggestions (everyone loved the tealight trees!) & patient with all my additions--even the day before my wedding! Renting the square tables (that I just had to have), chairs, linens & tealight trees was the least stressful part of planning my own wedding. Southern Events provided everything we needed for the ceremony and reception- which were in the same location due to rain. They were able to flip the room from ceremony to reception without any fuss and the rooms looks stunning! Everything was ready on time even with the rearranging that had to happen when the rain didn't stop- they were able to make everything look so good that the guests didn't even know that the ceremony didn't take place where we'd planned (it was supposed to be outside)! The flow of the rooms was smooth and easy, we had enough seating and dishes the whole night. Tables looked beautiful and everything moved smoothly- it was such a relief to have such professional people doing a wonderful job!

I have used Southern Events twice now: my son's rehearsal dinner in 2008 and my daughter's wedding reception in 2011. They did a great job both times in assisting us with color selections for the tables, table sizes, and room layout. The tables and chairs are high quality and sturdy. The table linens looked brand new! They were always on time with delivery and pick-up. I would highly recommend them.

Overall my experience was positive. Southern Events has a variety of options that fit design and budget needs. I shared chairs and tables with another bride who was using my venue the day before. I thought that we would have received a little more of a break on the price than just the delivery charge. However, I was happy with the overall experience.

FAQ for Southern Events Party Rental & Vintage Prop Shoppe
Deliveries can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additional charges may apply for pickups and deliveries made outside of our normal business hours, Monday - Saturday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
2. What if we need to add more equipment or change an order after hours?
You can reach us after hours at 615.289.1655.
3. Do you have a minimum order for delivery or pickup?
No. We will work with you on any size budget.
4. How much do you charge for delivery and pickup?
Standard pickup and delivery is $40 each way. Additional charges may apply depending on the location of the event.
5. Do your crews setup the equipment?
Yes. We can set up your equipment for an additional fee. Let us know your needs, and we will provide you with a quote specific to your event.
6. I need rental items that are not listed on your website. Can you help?
We will do our best to accommodate all of your event needs. We are continuously receiving new inventory and may even consider adding to that inventory, based on your request. Always ask!
7. If I have an outdoor event and it rains, do I need to bring everything inside?
Yes. It is your responsibility to keep all rental equipment dry. Additional charges may apply if equipment is damaged due to excess water exposure.
8. How many glasses should I order for a cocktail party?
We recommend one glass, per person, per hour.
9. How long does the rental period last?
Items are charged on a per-day basis. Items rented out over the weekend will be due back Monday morning.
10. What should we do with dishware before we return it?
We do not require you to hand-clean or dish-wash any equipment. Please scrape all food particles off the dishware and rinse. Place dishware back into boxes and crates in which they were delivered. In the event that food particles were not removed from the equipment, an additional fee will be charged.
