Spago Maui

We went to Spago for our dinner reception, and WOW!!!!! I think that the chic decor and amazing views were only beat by how amazing our food was! The service was like we were the only people there, even though we knew it was packed that night. I just cannot say enough good things about Spago! We had soooooo much fun!

We had our reception luncheon at Spago, and we couldn't believe how amazing it turned out!

Location - We had our event on the lanai, which had an absolutely beautiful view! We enjoyed being able to be outside in Maui even though it was sprinkling that day. We were also able to take some great pictures with the ocean in the background, but even the building made a pretty background!

Coordination - I worked with Rikka Johnson who took time to make sure the event was everything we wanted. She was very good at returning my emails and phone calls and even met with us the day before to sort out details and for her to visualize the setup we wanted. Rikka emailed me pictures at my request, which made me feel better about planning my reception from so far away. She took care of making sure my cake got there which was great because I didn't have to think about dealing with another vendor. I highly recommend working with Rikka!

Cuisine - We knew the food would be good, but we had no idea it would be that good! Chef Cameron Lewark’s menu was sensational, and our families had so much fun with each course. Everything looked very unique and tasted so good! I wish I could have that meal all over again.

Service - The service was unlike anything I've ever experienced. They were extra attentive to my husband and I, and we never had an empty glass or dirty plate. We talked about the service with our families after we left, and they felt like the service was like an art. We all felt like we got special treatment, which is a good sign of exceptional service.

Price - We had originally planned to have our wedding in my hometown of Austin, Texas, but after looking at the outrageous prices of locations and catering, we decided we could celebrate our marriage with our families in Maui and we'd be able to remember and enjoy it more. The cost of our luncheon at Spago was much cheaper than it should be! Given all of the qualities I described above, we felt like the value that we got was so much more than we expected at our quoted price!

I can't say enough great things about Spago. I highly recommend having an event there!

After our problems with DUO at the 4Seasons, working with Spago was a dream! Rikka Johnson was the manager that worked with me for our pre-ordered appetizers, and we were able to order any menu items for dinner. NOT a preselected menu! Rikka made us feel like VIPs. We literally had the very best table in the house. Between Rikka and Jackie (our coordinator) we know that we had the right people to get such great super-star service. Class act!

I highly recommend Rikka Johnson and Spago for wedding celebrations. I am very busy and didn't have the time to worry about the details. Rikka did a great job taking care of everything while respecting my busy schedule.

Best meal in Maui - hands down. Elegant dining, beautiful space, impeccable service. Lee is the new manager (Michelle left), hit a few bumps during the transition, but once I met with Lee in person, everything was handled. Although, I give credit to Denise for the seamless transition. Also, I would advise to plan every detail out with Denise and let her communicate to Lee. One down side is that the private dining room is HOT. The AC doesn't pump out like it should, so once you start dancing - it gets really really hot in the room. But they say it's the system and they can't do anything about it. I would advise to keep all the windows open, as they bring in a great cross ventilation. Still highly recommend Spago.

We had our reception in the private dining room at Spago. It was so much better than a hotel ballroom! Rikka Johnson took care of all the details and was great about giving me creative ideas to make our reception more personal. She made the event so special for us. Spago's team offered fantastic service, and even made sure my grandfather was treated like a VIP all night long.
