Lisa (makeup) and Amy (hair) were awesome. They were easy to work with and arrived precisely on time. They finished myself, my bridesmaids and my mom earlier than I expected so we even had time get in extra photographs. I received several compliments on my updo (which stayed put all night) and my makeup felt so natural I hardly even noticed it was there. I would absolutely recommend Special Event Beauty to future brides!

I knew that I wanted the same place to do both my hair and make up for the wedding to make things easy. Having artists who were really good at what they did was really important because these were going to be pictures that I would look at the rest of my life and I wanted to make sure I looked good in them. The SPE website had lots of impressive pictures. I liked Special Event Beauty right away because of how responsive they were when I emailed about their services. I did a trial with both a local salon and Special Event Beauty. The trial with the local salon was nice but nothing compared to SPE. I had to drive down to Bridgewater for the trial, which was an hour and a half drive and totally worth it. Amy did my hair and Lisa did my make up. It was nice to stay home and have them come to me. No stress with having to run around to a salon. I have stick straight hair that comes half way down my back. My husband to be wanted me to have really curly hair for the wedding. Well Amy painstakingly curled my hair for an hour and a half and it was amazing!!! Amy did the airbrush make up and made me look beautiful and not overdone. The day of the wedding they were right on time (a few minutes early which is good for a bride on her wedding day) and were so relaxed with me and my bridesmaid. We all looked so good. My husband can't stop talking about how much he loved my hair. I don't think that there is any other hair dresser out there that would take the time that Amy did to do my hair. I can't recommend Amy and Lisa enough. They were so awesome and talented.

Lisa was absolutely fantastic! I was thrilled with the results! Lisa did my makeup and I couldn’t have been happier. It was the best make-up of my life and I felt like a princess. It also lasted perfectly the entire night! I highly recommend Lisa - she is very easy to work with & she will work on site. Great job!

Special Event Beauty is the best. I could not have had a better experience on my wedding day. Kerry (hair) and Lisa (makeup) were amazing. They arrived right on time in the morning and did myself, my four bridesmaids and my mother. My bridesmaids who were a little skeptical at the beginning, immediately felt at ease and were thrilled with the results. They were sure their hair would be all out in a couple of hours and their makeup wouldn't stay put, but it lasted right through the whole night and they still looked gorgeous. I never felt prettier in my life. My whole wedding party along with my mother, looked and felt beautiful and kept receiving compliments from everyone. I couldn't have been happier. Not only were Kerry and Lisa wonderful, but they were also so much fun to be with. All my bridesmaids want to use them when they get married. They even helped us when we were getting ready and then did touch ups again before we headed out the door. I just cannot say enough good things about them.

These ladies were wonderful. They were so flexible with scheduling my trials and when we added people at the last second. Maryanne did a wonderful job with the airbrushed makeup and even convinced my mom to wear falsies (so necessary). Rachel did an amazing job on my hair. I changed my mind at the last possible second and made Rachel change from our planned down and to the side look to an updo. The woman worked magic. I am so happy with the way my hair and makeup came out and it’s definitely one of the things I was most worried about since I never do anything with my hair and don’t wear makeup.

I loved working with Maryanne (makeup) and Rachel (hair) for my wedding. They are both incredibly personable and total professionals. They arrived early and worked through 6 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, 1 aunt and me - all in time for a 2:00 ceremony. Everyone looked perfect! They were willing to make adjustments to get everything the way each girl wanted. I also decided I wanted two looks - softer makeup and loose curls worn down for the ceremony and then more dramatic makeup with an updo for the reception. Maryanne and Rachel met us at the hotel in between the ceremony and reception and had me transformed in record time. I was thrilled with both and recommend them highly!

Special Event beauty had Meghan Cotton who is an amazing makeup artist complete the makeup for my event. She did a trial for me and it was AWESOME! She is on time and very efficient! I was truly happy with my makeup and all of my girls makeup. She has a natural talent for doing others makeup and her own! I would recommend her to anyone looking to have their makeup done for their special event. The fake eyelashes were AMAZING! They really give you that extra something you're looking for. She is a very kind person and I was VERY happy! Thanks Meghan! You Rocked!

Special Event Beauty traveled to my wedding venue and did hair for myself, 4 of my bridesmaids, and 2 others. Rachel was our stylist and she was AMAZING. I had gone for a hair trial with her months before my wedding and it came out great. Then, on the day of my wedding, Rachel remembered exactly what I wanted. She was right on time and stayed up until right before the ceremony doing touch-ups, etc. for everyone. She had great suggestions and great advice on hairstyles for everyone and even helped us stay on track with timing throughout the day. She listened to every word each of my bridesmaids said about what kind of style they wanted. Everyone loved their hair. Rachel was professional, friendly, and helped make getting ready comfortable and easy. The great thing about Special Event Beauty is they travel to you (I had a suite at our venue to get ready in and she came right there with all of her supplies). They also have a discount if you have X number of attendants or more. Even so, the cost was so reasonable and so worth it! What I love is Rachel uses the Square app on her iphone to process cc payments...simple, trusted, awesome. I would recommend her services to anyone. So stress-free. Special Event Beauty also offers makeup services, which I didn't need, but I have never heard a bad review about their makeup either! Special Event Beauty was recommended to me by my wedding photographer...I'm so glad I took her suggestion!

Special Event Beauty is absolutely the best around! After meeting with Kim, I just knew that SEB was the perfect fit. The ladies at Special Event Beauty are extremely talented, easy going, & very professional. They are simply amazing at what they do & it's evident in their work. The team traveled to my beach house the morning of my wedding, ready to beautify 7 girls. In a matter of 5 hours, we were all absolutely stunning! I'm so thankful that I chose SEB for my beauty needs on the most important day of my life!

I had Maryanne and Amy to do both Hair and makeup for myself and my wedding party. Everyone looked Flawless! Amy was wonderful with everyone's hair and did one of my bridesmaids up-do 3 times because Amy as a professional did not like the way it looked. The fact that she took extra time with EVERYONE was just wonderful! Maryanne has a true talent with her makeup skills. The fact that she was able to make someone with severe rosacea look even a flawless all night long was very impressive. Oh my goodness, I love these ladies! Rachel and Maryanne did such a great job making me and my bridal party feel beautiful. Maryanne made me look so natural, just an enhanced version of myself. It was perfect. I have seen other brides turn out like clowns, but not with Maryanne. Rachel even trimmed my hair two weeks before the wedding at her salon to make sure it was perfect for the wedding. I am African American and have very difficult hair, but with Rachel it was no problem! Everything was perfect. I would hire them again if ever I find the need to get my hair and makeup professionally done.

I was so pleased with my wedding day hair and make-up provided by Special Events Beauty! Rachel was particularly patient, doing two separate pre-wedding hair trials (because of my indecisiveness!) and did an amazing job on the day of. It was awesome to have them come to us so that we could relax and have fun in our own space. Rachel and Maryanne made me and all my bridesmaids feel like superstars!

We had Amy for hair and Noel for makeup, LOVE LOVE them!!! They showed up on time despite ridiculous Cape Cod traffic and were all smiles. Me and my girls were so happy with the end results. Kim and Rachel were amazing! First of all, hair and makeup were perfect. We went for a natural look for the entire wedding party, and everyone was happy, even my picky mother. They are extremely talented and professional. They were also very personable - my wedding party loved talking to them! I really cannot thank them enough for making us look so amazing.

We had Special Event Beauty do the hair and makeup for my wedding. Noel was the makeup artist and Amy was the hair stylist. They came to the house early so we didn't have to worry, and took care of all the preparations for the day. They did such an amazing job. Some of my bridesmaids had gotten their hair done from other hairdressers and were not satisfied, so Amy re-did their hair and loved it. My hair came out exactly how I had wanted it and I was so happy. Noel did an amazing job with the makeup too! Although we only had a couple of people signed up to do makeup, she added more people in that day without a blink of an eye. Everything was perfect and I have never felt prettier. I Hired Special Event Beauty for my July Wedding.. They provided Hair and Makeup services. I was so impressed with both Kim and Kerry. They were wonderful! My hair was beautiful and it stayed in all night ( throughout heavy dancing and heat) My makeup was amazing - it was exactly what we had discussed and it looked even better than my trial. It stayed on all day and night. I did not have to touch up my hair or make up once throughout the day. They were both really sweet and helpful through the entire day. The ladies from Special Events Beauty did hair and makeup for 6 bridesmaids, a bride, two mothers, and a flower girl for my cousins wedding. The ladies came right to the hotel and were right on time. They were both not only talented, professional, but they were also easy going and fun. Kerry and Kim made everyone look gorgeous, they really captured each persons individual style. They were also ahead of schedule, leaving plenty of time for any touch ups. Being a hairdresser myself I was very pleased with the quality of their work and also their relaxed easy going personalities. We had special event beauty for my sisters wedding last weekend and they did an amazing job. Amy Topham did our hair and Noel Mckinnon did our makeup. Noel airbrushed my makeup and used fake eyelashes. It was stunning. Amy copied what I wanted for my hair and it looked better than the picture I brought.

Special Event Beauty did my wedding hair and makeup as well as the hair and makeup for many of my bridesmaids. They were very nice and accomodating during my trial. I did not know exactly what I wanted for makeup, but after a few questions regarding my style, Maryanne was able to create exactly what I wanted but could not articulate! I tried two different styles of hair with Rachel and even changed my mind to do some sort of a combination of the two styles a weeks prior to my wedding. Rachel really knew what I was going for and did a wonderful job!

During the day of the wedding, they were so patient and outgoing which is important on such a stressful day!Rachel re-did hair after a bridesmaid wanted a few changes. Maryanne did an excellent job on all of our makeup. They are both wonderful people and I loved the way I looked. I would recommend them to anyone!

Noel made me feel so incredibly beautiful on my wedding day in Boston on 4/21/2012. I LOVED the way my hair and makeup turned out (and so did my husband!). Noel was super accommodating with scheduling a trial run, as well as being receptive to what I was thinking about, but also making some really good suggestions. It's evident that she cares about what she does and really only wants to make the client happy in the end. I didn't have a bridal party, so I was the only one who had my hair and makeup done, and I never felt bad for not having more services or things booked. It was perfect. On the wedding day Noel arrived early and got to work- she made sure I kept hydrated and stopped to eat a snack as well before the ceremony. My mom actually dropped by and had forgotten to pack her curling set and Noel offered to do her hair and/or let her borrow her curling iron and tools if needed. I felt totally comfortably with her and would recommend her to anyone. You can't go wrong with Noel!

I was absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day. Is there anything else to say??? Yes! So was my mother, my new mother-in-law and my honor attendants. Maryanne and Rachel came to my house right on time and set up shop in our dining room. They operated like a finely tuned machine and had all of us ready to go early. I booked my hair and makeup with Noel from Special Event Beauty. I had my trial a few months before the wedding and Noel listened to what I was looking for and styled my hair perfectly! I asked for a few adjustments with my makeup, and she was changed those things more than willingly. It was very evident that her goal was to make me happy, to make me feel comfortable and beautiful. She was easy to talk with and very nice. On my wedding day she arrived early, and we got started right away. She helped my bridesmaids with their hair even though she was only hired to work with me. They were trying to do a 1940's style and she took time to explain how to make it easier, let them use her comb and even gave them bobby pins. She was attentitve to me and when I was getting stressed she talked quietly and encouraged me and helped get the room to quiet down, but never overstepped. She was amazingly helpful and I can't imagine how I would have gotten through that preparation without her.

And my hair and makeup came out perfect! And stayed perfect all night. She was able to take a general description of what I thought I wanted and the feel of the wedding and create a hairdo and makeup style that reflected me and my style. And she even gave me the lipstick I was wearing, hairspray and oil absorbing sheets.

Amy did my hair and the wedding party's hair for my December 10th wedding this year. Maryanne did all of our makeup. They both did a fantastic job. We all looked liked prettier versions of our everyday selves-nobody was over done, and nobody was too plain. Everyone looked just perfect.

As they were all packed up and ready to leave (I just got into my dress and one of my curls got pulled straight in the process)I came out and asked Amy if she could fix it really quick. She had to go into her bag and put on her curling iron again and fied it. It doesn't sound like much but to a bride who is nervous and wants everything perfect-that was so appreciated. They both cared so much to make sure everyone was happy with their results which is so important.

Meghan Cotton was an absolute joy to work with and I would hire her again in a heartbeat. She made me look and feel absolutely stunning on my wedding day. My daily make-up routine consists of a little Bare Escentuals in the morning. I never wear lipstick or anything on my eyes. For my wedding, I wanted my make-up to be special, but I didn't want to look overdone - I wanted to have a clean, fresh, elegant look. I was really nervous about finding an artist that could find that balance that I was looking for. I live in Boston but got married in Northampton, so I originally started my make-up artist search out in western MA. I went to three different salons for trials, and wasn't happy with any of them. On a whim, I decided to look into places in Boston that might travel out for my wedding day. And that's when I found Special Event Beauty and Meghan! I was so excited when I was done with my trial - it was exactly what I was looking for.

We spent over an hour together at my trial. We began by looking at some sample pictures that I brought, and she listened to what I was looking for and what I hadn't liked about the trials I'd had at other places. Then she worked her magic! The airbrush make-up is amazing. It covered my flaws and made my skin look exquisite, but it didn't feel or look heavy. One of the things that I most enjoyed about working with Meghan is how well she listens and how that translates into her attention to detail. She really understood what I was looking for and found a balance between my comfort and her expertise. Eyeliner for example - I never wear it and didn't think I wanted to - but she suggested that we do a really thin line to make my eyes pop. It made such a difference. Knowing that she was listening and understood what I was looking for made me trust her, and gave me confidence that I would feel my best on my wedding day. We also went through about 20 different lipsticks before finding the perfect one! She even ordered one for me for my wedding day.

On the day of, Meghan showed up early, kept to our schedule, and was just a wonderful person to have around while my family and I got ready. She is a gifted artist, professional yet sweet and easygoing, and does really wonderful work. We arranged for Meghan to stay through the ceremony in case touch-ups were needed. Even with the emotional ceremony, the make-up was flawless - all I needed was a lipstick touch-up.

I used Special Event Beauty for my September 24,2011 wedding. Noel did my hair and makeup as well as my bridesmaids' makeup. Tiffany did my bridesmaids' hair. I thought they did an amazing job! They showed up right on time and were very pleasant and easy to get along with. My trial with Noel was great, but I ended up wanting a different look for my wedding day. Noel was able to acheive the exact look I wanted. I loved the airbrush makeup. It made my skin look flawless, and it lasted the whole night. Hiring Noel to do makeup at my wedding was the single best decision I made. My flower girl called her the "miracle worker" and she was seriously was. First she did beautiful makeup on me, two mothers and 3 bridesmaids who all have very different styles. Everyone was thrilled with how they looked! Noel was able to match makeup to everyone’s own style. She is more than a makeup artist though, she made sure not only my makeup looked great but that my dress, veil, hair was perfect before I walked down the aisle. She also sewed a missing button on my flower girl’s dress, tied their bows and was calm whenever any little snafu came up. If you want to look gorgeous on your wedding day call and ask to hire Noel, I can not say enough wonderful things about her.

I worked with Amy and Kim for my hair and make-up for my wedding. They went above and beyond not only on the day of the wedding, but leading up to the big day when I requested more than one trial because I changed my mind on how I wanted to look on my wedding day. They are SO customer service oriented and take such great care of their clients. They are both super friendly and just overall incredibly nice people. Special Event Beauty could not have been a more perfect choice for my wedding day for a list of reasons! Of all the services a bride has to schedule for her wedding day, the make up artist was the most stressful for me! I wear very little make up on a regular basis so I was fearful of not looking like myself on my wedding day. I have freckles so I was nervous they would be caked over with make up...not the case at all!
I met with Kim for my trial and booked immediately! Everything was perfect. I even had the fake lashes put on but because they are individual lashes and not a strip like most artists stick on...it was the perfect touch!
Kim also made up my bridesmaids and catered to the look they wanted. Everyone was beyond pleased and compared to some of the other prices I looked at...was very reasonable! Plus the lashes are included where other make up artists charged $25 extra for them.
I really cannot say enough about Kim and her team.

Noel was the makeup artist for my bridesmaids and I on my August 26th wedding and seriously, I could not have been happier!! I knew from the day I met her at my trial that not only would she do an absolutely FABULOUS job on my makeup, but that she would make a great addition to my big day, and I certainly was not wrong!! I've already received so many compliments on the way that my makeup looked both in person and in the pictures (which is also super important!) Kim was absolutely wonderful to work with during the time leading up to the wedding. She always made herself available. She was patient with my questions and always responded to me quickly.

I was fortunate enough to be able to work with Kim, as she did my make-up at a friend's wedding a couple of years ago. I loved her work and knew that I wanted her for my wedding. I typically don't wear a lot of makeup. She kept the makeup natural for my wedding, but added just a little bit of glamour, which is exactly what I wanted. Everyone in my wedding party was extremely happy with her work. She does a great job of reading people and finding out how they want to look. Everyone's makeup looked so natural and lasted the entire day and night.

NOEL IS AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for anything more. I stumbled upon Noel a few months before my wedding and this proves everything happens for a reason. She was so helpful, kind and accommodating to my needs. After a trial and 2 hours of her time and patience, I knew I was in for a real treat. On the day of my wedding she showed up with all of her gear and was such a wonderful person to have as part of the day. She made everyone look beautiful and didn't miss a single detail. Noel did my hair and my bridesmaid's makeup for my wedding. She was AMAZING. Not only was her makeup and hair doing skills spot on but she was such a fun and lively presence while we were getting ready. I had Rachel for hair and Maryanne for makeup - could not have been happier with both! They were super flexible throughout the entire process. I ended up having 2 hair trials because I didn't know what I wanted and Rachel was always up for anything. On my wedding morning she ended up doing 2 hairstyles on me because I didn't like the first and her only comment was "That's why I wanted to start you early!" Maryanne was great - I changed my mind between our trial and the wedding day, and what I ended up with for my wedding makeup was absoluetely perfect. They had smiles on their faces all morning - they were never stressed, and all of my bridesmaids and the mothers looked gorgeous. Everyone was really happy with their services.

I hired Noel to do my hair and makeup, and I am very happy I did! Not only Noel do a great job with my hair and makeup during my wedding weekend, but she also proved to be helpful in a few unexpected ways. She does fantastic work and has a wonderful personality. I highly recommend her!

I planned my Boston wedding from my home in Philadelphia. Planning an out of town wedding was not easy, especially since I would only be in Boston for 3-4 days total during my engagement. I booked a trial with Noel after reading rave reviews. I was in town for about 24 hours that weekend, and she was able to fit me in no problem. She did a great job with the trial, and I hired her on the spot. She was always quick to respond with any questions I emailed her with in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

The night before our wedding, we had a Chinese banquet in Chinatown. Noel came to my hotel and did my hair and makeup. I wore a cheongsam that night. Noel came up with a great hairstyle that mimicked part of the pattern of my dress. My hair and makeup looked great and lasted all night.

The morning of my wedding, Noel showed up bright and early, ready to go. She did a wonderful job with my hair and makeup, and had no problem making small changes when I decided I wanted something a little different. We finished a bit early, so she even helped me work on the sash for my dress. I had purchased some fabric flowers that I wanted to pin to my sash. When I attempted to arrange the flowers, I couldn't get them to look right. Noel offered to give it a try, and she nailed the look I was going for. On top of that, Noel was the one who was able to properly get me into my dress after failed attempts by my mom and maid of honor (zipper issues). Thank goodness she was there! I joked with Noel that I'll never forget her since she'll be in so many of my "getting ready" photos. When it was all said and done, my hair and makeup looked exactly the way I'd pictured it in my head. My hair and makeup lasted all day, which is impressive given that we had to be outside for a couple hours in 90+ degree heat.

Maryanne from Special Event Beauty was absolutely wonderful. From the wedding trial to the wedding day, Maryanne was very great to work with. She was very responsive to any questions I had. On the day of the wedding, Maryanne was on time and ready to get right to work. I had 6 bridesmaids, myself and my mother have their makeup done. Everybody was ecstatic with how their makeup came out and received tons of compliments all night. My mom was nervous about having her makeup done and not looking like herself, but was extremely happy with how her makeup came out and how Maryanne listened to what she wanted. My mom looked stunning and was very pleased with her decision to have her makeup done. I absolutely loved my makeup as well. All of our makeup stayed on all night, even through lots of sweating at an outdoor July wedding with hard dancing. I would recommend Special Event Beauty to any bridal party.

Could not have asked for better!!! Noel and Rachel were amazing. Bottom line is that they saved my wedding!!! I had another vendor blow it and discovered, just as they were finishing up our hair and makeup, that my florist thought my wedding was the following day and was not even in the state. Despite a meltdown on my part, Noel and Rachel took over to my great thanks. Noel was on the phone with my vendor while Rachel dealt with me (my makeup didn't even run!!!). My family credits them with literally saving the wedding as Noel was able to make me "okay" with the situation.

Not only are they amazing hair and makeup artists, but also amazing people! I already has my one single bridesmaid tell me that she is going to use them when she gets married :)

Noel and Lisa made up myself, nine bridesmaids, and my mother on my wedding day. We had an earlier wedding, so the ladies needed to arrive early in the morning. They were right on time and were efficient, yet relaxed throughout the entire morning. After several hours of hair and makeup, we all looked gorgeous and were right on time to snap some pictures and head to the church. It was so convenient to have the services done in the comfort of our own home and was a great experience overall! I would definitely recommend Special Event Beauty to any bride who wants a stress-free wedding morning!

I had Amy and Noel do my hair and make up respectively for my June 24, 2011 wedding at Indian Pond Country Club. Of all the planning in the wedding, this was the thing I was most nervous about because of prior bad updos and crazy make up for prior formal events. As soon as I met Amy and Noel at the trial, they put me right at ease. They were prepared, as they had me send them ideas for hair and makeup way in advance of the trial. The trial went seemlessly and the hair and makeup was everything I could have hoped for. When the big day came, not only did my hair and makeup come out beautiful, but they also took care of : 6 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and 2 flower girls. They kept things light and fun the day of, despite a few in room drink spills (sorry!!) . They accompanied us to the venue to do touch ups as well and even tied a bow or two for the flowergirls and bridesmaids! I cannot tell you how happy I was with their attention to detail, their warm nature, and professionalism. I would hire them again without reservation and would recommend them fully ! Thanks again !

My hair and makeup were the least stressful part of my wedding thanks to Noel! Noel did my hair and make up for my engagement pictures and on my wedding day. I truly felt beautiful on both occasions. She was always very quick to answer my emails (and trust me I loaded her inbox with my emails)! Noel and Tiffany arrived at our hotel the day of my wedding at 6:00 AM to ensure they would have plenty of time to do makeup and hair for myself, my three bridesmaids, mom, sister in law and mother in law for my 2:00 wedding. Tiffany did the girls and moms’ hair and she was amazing!! My bridesmaids all had no idea how they wanted their hair and Tiffany worked with each of them so they all had beautiful updo's which they all loved. My aunt was so impressed after seeing everyone’s up do’s that she approached Tiffany to have her hair straightened. Tiffany was surprisingly able to fit her in even though it was unplanned. Noel did everyone’s makeup and really worked with each girl to make sure she was bringing out everyone’s best features. I wish she could do my makeup everyday! We were all so impressed with Noel and Tiffany and had so much fun with them (not to mention they made us all look beautiful). They truly made it feel like they were just two additional friends of ours hanging out with us the morning of my wedding. Thank you Noel and Tiffany!

Noel was exceptional and went over and above what any makeup and hairstylist would do. The first indication that Noel was going to be great was my trial. She spent 6 hours with me for one price. She kept in touch with me after I booked her and even sent me products for my hair to use up and until the wedding (free of charge) I have really thin hair so she wanted to see if the products she sent would work and they did.

The day of the wedding she was on time. She is so fun to work with. I had asked her if she wanted to stay for the wedding and be a guest and she was happy to do so. I did not expect her to again go above and beyond the way she did. She stayed with me and right next to me for prior photos and then again after the ceremony for after photos. She made sure I looked wonderful for each picture, that my dress looked great and helped anywhere she could. I was so happy with the way she treated me, she made me feel special, beautiful and that it was my day. If you want someone to do your hair and makeup you must ask for Noel.

My wedding was 5/29/2011 and the day was amazing thanks to Noel from Special Event Beauty! I have never looked so good, but more importantly, she made me feel beautiful on the inside too!

I was only planning on hiring Noel for my hair, but she impressed me so much at the hair trial, I decided to hire her for makeup too! At the trial we totally clicked and were completely on the same page about my hair and the schedule in the morning and everything else. She was so patient with my mother, who was also getting a trial and has hard-to-manage hair. Noel was also just really fun and kind! She gave me advice about makeup and air-brushing and did a little sample run of that, too! I loved it so much and knew I'd picked the right woman for my hair *and* makeup!

During the months before my wedding, Noel never forgot about me and always made me feel like a priority. My mom had mentioned during the trial that she needed a hair comb, and Noel searched for one for her in New York. When Noel didn't find the perfect one, she handmade one instead! She also made sure to find lip glosses in the perfect shades for me and to bring to the wedding hair thickening powder for the top of my head! And as we'd discussed at the trial, she created a bunch of pins for my hair with pearls on them.

Noel was a blessing to have around on my wedding day. She showed up right on time even though it was 5:00 am and was as kind and pleasant as ever. She did hair for my bridesmaids and my mom, made my hair look fantastic, touched up makeup for many of them with no extra charge, and made my makeup look better than ever before. I was expecting to look great because I knew Noel was talented, but I didn't expect to look THAT good.

But the reason I am most glad about hiring Noel for my wedding has nothing to do with her jewelry-making skills, awesome sense of humor, or her hair and makeup talents. I am most grateful for Noel's heart. The morning of my wedding, I got really upset, not about hair or napkin colors or crying flower girls, but about my weight, something I've struggled with for years. My maid-of-honor was trying to comfort me to no avail when Noel stepped in. She talked her way into the bathroom where I'd barricaded myself and she made me feel so much better. Before she spoke to me, I felt so ugly. But because of what Noel told me that morning, and her genuine kindness and warmth, I walked down the aisle feeling like the absolute most beautiful version of myself - inside and out.

I highly recommend Noel. She was the best hair dresser I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! She was extremly helpful on my wedding day. She arrived early and stayed until I left to make sure I looked perfect when I walked out the door. Her qualtiy of service was the best.

Noel did my makeup on my wedding day and she did such a spectacular job. After having several different makeup trials that made me look scary/80's I was so happy to have found Noel. On my wedding day she made me feel so calm with the fact that she was calm. She also did my mom, sister and grandmother and they all looked incredible. We had Rachel on hair and Maryanne doing makeup.....they were amazing! They listened to what everyone wanted and gave them better then they had hoped for! Everyone's hair stayed in place the entire wedding and everyone that got makeup done stayed the entire night! It is awesome that they come right to you so you don't have to worry about getting everyone to and from a salon! It made the day more special!

Amy is THE BESt, I met Amy on my trial, I was nervous and anxios, I did not know what to expect and let me tell you that it was to my surprise perfect, I Loved my hair and left ttheir studio excited for my wedding day to come, Amy and I always kept connected and on the wedding day Amy arrived on time and started to work on my niece, Amy beutified 10 ladies including myself and we all loved her, still to this day My friend and even my Grandma who is not easy to please raves about her, Amy not only did our hair, but she also drove me to my wedding (dont ask) she stayed in the venue for a couple of hours helped my BM's get ready and finally helped me into my dress retouched my hair, put my veil on gave me a big warm hug and left. I have never met such a wonderful human being, she did not have to do all she did, but she genuenly wanted to and she enjoyed doing it, I loved her and cant wait to have another event so I can book her. I honestly reccomend her to Everyone and know that you wount be dissaponted.

The girls at Special Event Beauty were amazing! Not only do they do a great job on hair and makeup, they go above and beyond. They make for a fun atmosphere and definitely put me at ease. Amy and Marianne did hair and makeup for myself, my wedding party, my mother and mother-in-law, and a few other relatives thrown in the mix. The whole experience was fantastic. Noel is absolutely amazing! I met Noel 5 months before my wedding for a trial. I kinda of knew what I wanted to do with my hair but, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my makeup. Noel was great and gave me a ton of suggestion on what she thought would look best on me. She was so personable and we chatted the entire time. I ended up booking her for my wedding that day.

Leading up to the wedding Noel checked in with me to make sure everything was going fine and to see if I needed anything. Even on the wedding day she checked to see if I need her to get anything on her way over. My bridesmaids both raved about her. They both live out of state and didn't get into Boston until the day before the wedding, so they weren't sure what to do with their hair. Noel showed them both hairstyles that she thought would look great for them. She made us all look wonderful and we all felt beautiful. Rachel did my hair and Noel my make up - they also provided hair and make- up for my mother and 7 bridesmaids! They are both so amazing! Laid back, easy to work with - flexible and extremely reasonable! They traveled with no fee (within their 25 mile radius), they were early and ready to go. If my trial deserved an A+, my wedding day was off the charts. They knocked it out of the park. Rachel, Noel and their assistant traveled to my parent’s house and did 11 hair styles and 8 faces in about 5 hours. They were professional and fun at the same time. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of their work. I have never felt so beautiful as I did on my wedding day and I have Rachel and Noel to thank. They started my day off on the best foot possible.

I can't recommend special event beauty enough! They did the hair and make up for myself, my 7 bridesmaids and my mother. Everyone looked amazing and our guests kept asking who did our hair and makeup. The day of my wedding was so relaxed and stress free. I have been in weddings before where the hair and makeup has run over and it made for a very stressful start to the day. That was the opposite for me. Special event beauty did hair and makeup for all 9 people and we still had time to eat and relax before the photographer arrived. I rarely write reviews, but after I had such great experience with Noel at Special Event Beauty I really wanted to let others know what a great job she did! She did both my hair and makeup for my wedding in July and not only did everyone in the wedding party look fantastic, but she was by far the nicest, easiest vendor to work with. She was always easy to get a hold of, and her main goal was to make you feel your best. I highly reccomend her for anyones wedding!

Special Event Beauty was a real life saver. I originally reserved Wedding Tresses to do my hair and makeup for my Vermont wedding in June 2010 but they canceled 2 months before my wedding leaving me with no one to do my hair and makeup. I called many salons who said they have been booked for months. Finally, I came across Special Event Beauty who said they would try to see if one of their girls, Noel, could do it, if not they would help me find someone to do my hair and makeup and not to worry. Noel, ended up being available and she did an amazing job. She was really fun to work with and spent a lot of time making sure each of us looked the best we could. Noel not only did a great job on our hair and makeup, but she also made my sister and I really pretty orchid hair pieces and helped me fix my bouquet right before the wedding. I am so glad that Wedding Tresses canceled on me because no one could have done a better job than Noel from Special Event Beauty.

Kim and team were supposed to do just my hair and makeup for my rehearsal dinner. After my sister rushed into my suite freaking out about not having time to do her hair and makeup, I asked them if they could also do her hair and makeup and they did! Talk about saving my bacon! :o)

On the wedding day, they showed up early, setup quickly and got started on the bridesmaids. Everyone loved their hair and makeup (especially the airbrush and false lashes!). Their hair and makeup lasted a long time as well... long into the night. After seeing everyone else's hair and makeup, my mom even got hers done (!!!), which is huge because my mom is notoriously picky.

My hair and makeup was absolutely perfect! I wanted to change a couple of things from my trial and they totally made me look awesome! (I wish I could have Kim and Rachel do my hair and makeup every day. lol) I look amazing in my pro photos and a lot of the reason for that is Special Event Beauty.

Kim (makeup) and Rachel (hair) were amazing to work with! I did a hair trial elsewhere initially and we still joke about how I looked like Princess Leia. Obviously, I had to look for a new team and when I went to do a trial with Special Events I felt totally comfortable with them immediately. They listened very carefully, then made suggestions based on their experience, and when I looked at myself in the mirror that day I thought I had never looked better! I had the airbrushed makeup and eyelash additions and although my eyes looked way more exotic than usual (really awesome!), I looked like myself, just "glowier" and without imperfections! I booked without delay. They showed up to my house with lots of extra assistants who helped with curling and basic makeup. I really wanted my wedding party to look sophisticated but a little beachy, and definitely not prommy! I swear I have never seen my bridesmaids look more beautiful! They each picked their own hairstyle and brought pictures, and Rachel replicated what they wanted exactly- everyone looked stunning. Kim did the same with the makeup and each of the girls was a little different - modern, old Hollywood, glam, beachy - but all of them stayed looking flawless the whole night. My mom looked amazing - everyone kept commenting on how "foxy" she looked! They even did a little blush and lip gloss on my Grandma for free. My hair was perfect, a low chignon with an antique hair comb that I had brought, and my makeup stayed great the whole night with the help of the powder and lip gloss they gave me for my wedding bag! I highly recommend Kim and Rachel - go book a trial and you will see!

I had a catastrophe the week before my wedding and large skin infection on my nose that Kim was able to totally conceal with makeup- airbrush is a must for a wedding! I found them through a coworker's rec an could not have been happier. I had 3 other trials with qualified beauticians but Kim and Amy listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure I was happy with the final look. They also provided lip gloss and touch up papers. My Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid also got their hair and makeup done for my wedding and they absolutely loved it and also received tons of compliments! If you want to look your absolute best and have your makeup and hair done by experienced and professional women, you should definitely go with them- they are the best, and the value for the cost is truly amazing!

Kim was absolutely wonderful to work with for my July 2009 wedding. She was patient, knowledgeable, and well-prepared for doing the makeup of the eight lovely ladies in my wedding party. Despite the varied skin types (ranging in age from 23 to 60 and in race from Irish to Asian) every one of us looked like a million bucks. My sisters, mom and I all had our foundation airbrushed on, and we nearly forgot that we were wearing makeup because it felt so light and natural! Kim gave each of us touch-up kits to use throughout the day, and she had great makeup tips to share. She was very reasonably priced, and the quality of her work was outstanding. If I ever need a professional makeup artist in the future, Kim is absolutely the only person I would trust.

I can't say enough good things about Kim and Amy of Special Event Beauty. Kim saved my wedding. I live in Los Angeles, but was married in Massachusetts. I waited until four weeks before the wedding to book a makeup artist and hair salon. Special event beauty got back to me right away (unlike other companies who waited weeks to return my call), and although she and her staff were already booked for the date of my wedding, Kim went out of her way to locate another make up artist who was available for the date, and called me to put me in touch with her. I was thrilled with the make up at my wedding. I highly recommend anyone who would show such generosity.

Three years ago, I hired Noel McKinnon to do my hair and make-up for my wedding. The theme of my wedding was "Old Hollywood Glamour." I wanted to look like Grace Kelly and I needed a make-up artist who would understand and be able to achieve that. Noel was recommended through a friend of a friend and I couldn't have been happier! My make-up was perfect! Glamorous yet natural, and my hair was amazing! I didn't have an idea of how I wanted my hair and she styled a unique bun on the spot! She also did make-up and hair for my mom and sister. They loved theirs too! Noel is very knowledgeable about her craft. She understands a persons coloring, age and skin tone and creates her magic.
