Unfortunately I would not recommend this event rentals shop or use them again. We had paid to have a tent delivered Thursday night between 3-7 to our reception site as we had several people there all day waiting to complete the reception set up. We received a call about 30 minutes before 7 explaining it would not arrive until Friday between 12-1. After speaking with a gal and letting her know this would really set everything back I was promised the tent would arrive between 12-1 Friday then hung up on. The tent did not arrive until about 15 minutes before 4 on Friday and then took about 20 minutes to set up. Our rehearsal was set to start at 6 and there was still a lot to get done before that time so this really set back our plans and caused a lot of stress. I believe they gave a discount to my dad, but this was still very unprofessional and frustrating.
Originally I was shocked at the prices but after shopping around I realized they were actually quite reasonable. It was me who wasn't prepared for the pricing of weddings in general I guess. Once I got over the sticker shock, I chose Specialty Rents not just for their prices but their selection, friendliness, professionalism and responsiveness. We had a lot of requests for one off items and they didn't overlook one thing. They showed up on time, set everything up as promised, were cordial even under the stress of time constraints and bad weather. At first I was having a hard time connecting with them (leaving voicemail, etc.) but once we were in touch: they did everything they said they would, they followed up with me consistently and they were great. With Specialty Rents, we were in good hands.
This vendor does everything they can to make what they have work for your event. They are a little company, so some limitations in selection, however, they went out of their way to make sure that our needs were met. When our rentals were late being delivered because of the delivery truck, the entire staff came along to help unload and set up in order to make it go quicker. I'm talking down to the girls that answer phones. There were some glitches along the way (number of glasses we wanted weren't available) but they always found a way to make it work with what they had in a way that didn't take away from our vision. Would use again!
