This review is for Spectacular Florals (Owner or main contact: Carms Galicia-Feinerman). They are a "preferred" vendor of Westin Pasadena Hotel. I really don't want to be totally unfair or biased, but the way this vendor dealt with our situation towards the end has really left a bad taste in my mouth that I want to let other brides know to be weary of using her, b/c I understand it’s a business, but I really feel like she’s not looking out for you at all. Everything was fine in the beginning, not “spectacular” but OK. I did NOT want to use this vendor, but they were 1 of only 2 vendors that offer a decorative bridge that can be used at Westin Pasadena Hotel. Unfortunately, I was NOT at all impressed with her flowers or work, as seen in pictures or the mock-up we later had with her. For the price she was charging I expected a lot more, but had to settle because my mom REALLY wanted this bridge. Carms wants payments for everything up front, which I don’t like, but didn’t argue. Also unfortunately, she had no reviews or other info about her available on the web whatsoever, which now in retrospect is sort of a red flag to me for wedding stuff. This is why I’m also writing a review b/c if I had some reviews about her available maybe I could’ve avoided using her. Unfortunately, it rained lightly on my wedding day and we had to make an executive decision in the morning whether to move the ceremony indoors or not. My coordinator called Carms multiple times to ask her if we could get a partial refund for the bridge if we moved the ceremony indoors, b/c if we couldn’t receive a refund then we might as well have them deliver the bridge for pictures (since everything was already paid for). No return call. We ended up moving the ceremony indoors without ever hearing from Carms, so I had no idea if the bridge would be delivered or not. She took it upon herself and cancelled the bridge WITHOUT confirming with either me or my fiancé or my coordinator. On the wedding day my mother asked her if she was going to issue us a refund, and she said she would. Fast forward 2 months, she doesn’t return any of our multiple calls or emails. It wasn’t until we called her from an unrecognized line she FINALLY picks up. Then afterwards we still never get a follow up regarding our partial refund from her. It wasn’t until we threatened to tell the catering manager at Westin about her that she finally started responded. The bridge cost $700 and she offered us a $100 refund, when we never even technically cancelled the bridge! Back and forth, tired of fighting we settle for ~$200 which we finally receive 3 months after our wedding. Of all my vendors, she is the ONLY one who I have something negative to say. My other wedding vendors were wonderful, thoughtful, and professional. Carms is the exact opposite. I DO NOT recommend this vendor at all. For the prices she charges, do yourself a favor and go w/ a reputable florist, one you know will care about your wedding at be professional about it if something goes wrong and save yourself this unnecessary stress and hassle!
