Couldn't have asked for a better DJ! My family and friends are very outgoing and love getting out on the dance floor. Tom made sure to keep the party going and included music for every type of guest. Everybody was constantly on the dance floor and he made sure we all had a great time! This company was beyond helpful with choosing songs for the wedding and were always there to answer my questions! Perfect company for wedding music!

Hiring the lighting department of Spectrum Entertainment and Events was definitely money well spent. They were very professional and the lighting totally changed the look and ambiance of the room.

Lou Guzzo was FANTASTIC!!! At our wedding, we had a wide rage of personalities, ages, and cultures-- Lou played music that kept EVERYONE happy, dancing, and having a great time! He kept the flow of the wedding moving, and really really got everyone to cut loose and have a good time. I would recommend him to anyone!! Thanks Lou!

We used Spectrum Entertainment for the music and lighting at our wedding at the old courthouse on the square. Our DJ was Lou Guzzo and he was awesome. All of the guests had a great time and he was very responsive and easy to work with. They have a wedding planner that covers everything and made planning a breeze!
GUEST

We hired Lou as our wedding DJ at the recommendation of our wedding coordinator. Lou and I met several times prior to the wedding to discuss the atmosphere I was hoping to create and he immediately understood my overall vision. I never furnished a specific list of songs to play or not play but rather trusted Lou's expertise and he absolutely exceeded my every expectation in his ability to keep the music playing in a cohesive way that kept guest engaged and dancing. I had requested that standards from the 40s and 50s be played during dinner and every song that Lou played seemed to be one of my favorites. Lou is extremely intuitive and very adept at reading a crowd. Both my husband and I were thrilled to have Lou as a part of our wedding day!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Spectrum and J.Patrick. They are super accomodating and our wedding was absolutely perfect!!! J.Patrick's floral designs and recption layout were stunning. It was the wedding we had dreamed of.

Loved DJ Lou! Spectrum's online planning tool is great! It was so simple to use. We spoke with Lou several times on the phone and through email. He was always so nice and helpful. Lou played all of our ceremony music as well. The reception ran so smoothly! Lou would even check in with us from time to time and make sure we were having a good time. He played a great range of music - everyone really enjoyed themselves! Would definitely recommend Spectrum for any of your wedding or party needs!

DJ Lou was perfect. He took time to understand what we wanted from our wedding reception and delivered! The dance floor was packed all night. He was amazing - I wish we could get married every year and have Lou DJ our party!! What a blast!!
GUEST

Spectrum Entertainment and Matt,
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for EVERYTHING!!!! I believe that Kevin and I had the best day/night of our lives because of YOU! We couldn't stop talking about it during our honeymoon and even agreed that the wedding was even better than the honeymoon, hands down. The music was rock'n, the dancing was crazy and the atmosphere was incredible. Kevin and I were so pleased with everything especially the flow of the night. Matt, you are truly gifted at what you do because everything was flawless. I was amazed with how you got so many people dancing...I never saw the dance floor empty, NEVER. We appreciate you taking the time to perfect our special day. Thank you for editing the Adele ballot and playing such an array of music so that each guest had something to dance to. I only have to agree that our wedding was the absolutely best because we were so lucky to have the best, YOU!
Much love, happiness and thanks,
Jessica

The pictures turned out great and we got them just two and a half weeks after the wedding! Before the wedding the photographer was hard to get a hold of but during the wedding everything turned out great.
GUEST

Lou was our DJ and he was amazing! We met with him wice before our wedding day to make sure we were doing good and to give any suggestions where needed. Their online planning tool was great to use! During the reception, Lou kept things moving and fun. He would even come over to chat with us and make sure we were having a great time as well. One thing that I loved was that he mixed songs in with other songs to keep things exciting and the guests wanting more, instead of playing one song after another after another. I could not have asked for anything better!

DJ Lou with Spectrum Ent. DJ'ed our wedding on May 27, 2012. Lou was fantastic! Everyone danced all night, even with the heat! He knew how to keep the party going. I felt like I got a great value with Spectrum. I would highly recommend them for your DJ needs.
Thanks, DJ...

DJ Scott Mikell kept the party going all night. Spectrum provided the music for both the ceremony and cocktail hour, as well as for the reception. Surely there are less expensive companies, but we felt this
was money well spent to ensure a good time was had by all. There were no unforseen challenges and
Scott kept the dancefloor filled all night long. It was a great party, exactly what my daughter wanted, and for this we thank Spectrum and Scott!!
GUEST

I was recommended to Scott Mikell at Spectrum Entertainment by my venue, Park Tavern. I run a music blog in Atlanta so the music was critical that I had someone who understood pop sensibilities but also could incorporate my own individual tastes. Scott was a dream come true. He was so genuinely invested in my wedding that he would send me interesting song suggestions periodically and creative ideas well after I hired him and while I was in my planning stages. I also had a very specific idea for my wedding video and had a tough time finding a capable cinematographer in Atlanta that could shoot and edit the way I wanted. Scott designed a meeting with his cinematographer, Zac Florence and it was a perfect match!
I was so blown away with how far above and beyond both Scott and Zac went to make my 140 person wedding to be an intimate, moving, and memorable affair and they both delivered so far beyond just a DJ and a videographer.
Not only was I was impressed with how involved Scott was with the pre-planning but the execution was flawless. Scott wasn't cheesy, but he made the story about the guests. All of my guests were on the dance floor the entire time and Scott would even come down and dance with people to jazz up the fun. Everyone keeps talking about how great of a job he did.
I would recommend Spectrum Entertainment for any event. I had some really incredible vendors overall, but Scott was extraordinary.

I used Spectrum for my DJ services, up lighting, and a stage. If you want a great DJ then these are your people. They let you pick all the songs you want played and we thought that was awesome. Our first dance was a surprise dance and they were even open to making that easy for us. I was a little worried because we had to email the song but it was super easy! My up lighting was "eh" I could have done without it. When I looked at pictures online, my idea of up lighting was dramatic enough to change the room...we had 20 and it didn’t make a difference. My coordinator said it was because they used a cheaper light, so I loss there. Now for the stage, first off my advice is to any bride is to keep track of EVERY email you ever send a vendor. I thought I did a great job of this but I guess not when it came to Spectrum. Lou is awesome; clearly he runs a successful business. But I think he's attention to detail is lacking. We spoke about my stage at least a dozen times over phone calls and emails. At one point I found someone cheaper and wanted to haggle his price a little and he said to me, “it doesn’t matter to me where you get your stage”. Okay that’s fair; I can take a little honesty. Although I did find some cheaper I thought since I already had booked spectrum I should just use them for the stage as well. My stage was to be delivered Friday before my wedding and it was only HALF showed up. We ended up having to scramble and rent elsewhere for the other half. When I called Lou he swore we had agreed on a stage 8 foot by 6 foot when I actually asked for a stage 12 ft by 16 ft. That’s a HUGE difference when you are having a wedding canopy built on top of it. He also stated they didn’t have any other stages for rental that weekend. Spectrum dropped the ball BIG time and I am yet to receive an apology. I find it difficult to believe they conveniently thought I meant ½ of what I ordered. It wasn’t off a few feet but half. And I paid $600 for a stage so small when other companies quoted me a little less than $600 for the exact size I paid for. If it were true, meaning if he actually thought I wanted a stage that size, Spectrum would be charging nearly double than their competitors. So again I don’t believe he “heard” wrong. I believe they dropped the ball, had ½ the stage delivered then instead of fixing it, they left me to scramble a day before my wedding to figure it out. That’s bad business in book. No refund was offered, not even an apology. I wouldn’t use them again and to be fair I would only recommend their DJ services.
*****OMG I cannot believe these lies. I will not let you make me look like I was a “budget” bride. My fiancé and I paid for our own wedding. And it was a $50k day. So this $300 budget you speak of is hilarious for my lighting. Since you have so much expertise on lighting then it would have been nice to know that the color I chose wasn’t a good choice. Just face it, you use cheaper lights and they aren’t so great. Regardless of how much you charge it was still crap. Also I don’t build stages for a living. So in my mind (and I’m sure others can agree)…if I asked for a stage that is 16 by 12 and you say you are providing TWO 8x6 stages it wouldn’t be crazy if I thought that would equal what I asked for. NOW I understand you are saying that it doesn’t and cannot be configured that way. That would have been awesome to know beforehand. I NEVER asked for anything for free so how dare you portray me that way. I asked Lou what we could do to fix it. And he said nothing because all the staging was rented out for the weekend.
It is a blatant lie that Lou and my planner met at the venue “holding a copy of the contract in hand” and it was approved. Lou was never there “holding a copy of the contract in hand” with my planner to approve. The stage was delivered on Friday. It was dropped off. My planner has a full time job and Lou is too busy to drive to Kennesaw from Norcross 2 days before an event to approve a stage delivery. Absurd.
Vendor response to review
It would have been very helpful to see the lighting pictures she viewed online during planning! Most likely her ‘idea’ was actually more of an entire wall wash which is far more expensive (@ $1500+) to provide with LED fixtures slaved together with a color controller. We worked with her $300 budget and offered (20) Par38s to wrap her ballroom with a single color gel for only $15/fixture installed. Try to find this price anywhere else! This fixture is more economical and predominately only creates a light spike up the wall 6-8’ and certainly not intended to be used as an entire wall wash. The color she picked was purple and anytime you use a darker gel color, less light actually goes through compared to lighter colors, but having 20 fixtures would certainly make a difference than not having any lighting at all. Lighting vendors that post pictures online or in magazines always use the best of the best lighting technology for obvious reasons. This technology comes at a higher production price so it is important to share your photo sources with your actual lighting vendor so they can better identify your expectations.
Regarding her staging, we have a signed contract to provide her event with (2) 8’x6’ stage risers. They could either be configured for a total stage of 6’x16’ or 8’x12’. Each riser only costs $175 as a rental ($350 for 2) and requires a $175 delivery/set up/strike fee for a Friday afternoon pre-set (2 days prior to event to save money on delivery) and Sunday afternoon strike. These are standard rates for metal riser rentals in the Atlanta market and nowhere would she find a cheaper rate for the exact units for a weekend event. Never did we have a 12’x16’ stage ordered on contract because we did not have (4) units available in stock, and cross-renting additional staging to match at the last minute during the weekend is astronomically expensive. We never received any email or phone call specifically with her request to resize the order and even confirmed the contracted order before the event. Both Lou and one of the owners spoke with her event planner on site during the install and they confirmed holding a copy of the contract in hand specifically showing what she was paying for. The planner even commented that is was a mis-understanding from the bride on what she was actually getting. We certainly apologized for this misunderstanding, but we delivered the exact items that were contracted at the rate of $525, not $600 as she claimed. We were not in a position to give her 2 extra units at the last minute for free.
OKAY LET’S CLEARLY LOOK AT THIS SECOND RESPONSE:
*****OMG I cannot believe these lies. I will not let you make me look like I was a “budget” bride. My fiancé and I paid for our own wedding. And it was a $50k day. So this $300 budget you speak of is hilarious for my lighting. {$300 WAS IN FACT THE BUDGET GIVEN TO US FOR LIGHTING AND EVERY EVENT SHOULD HAVE A BUDGET. WE NEVER COMMENTED THAT SHE WAS A CHEAP OR ‘BUDGET’ BRIDE AS SHE INTERPRETED. ORIGINALLY, WE PITCHED MORE EXPENSIVE L.E.D. LIGHTING BUT WASN’T ABLE TO COVER THE ROOM AS DESIRED. SO WE ADJUSTED THE PRICE FOR OUR CONVENTIONAL PAR-36 FIXTURES TO BE ABLE TO DO THE JOB. THIS SHOWS OUR WILLINGNESS TO WORK WITH A CLIENT AND MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.}
Since you have so much expertise on lighting then it would have been nice to know that the color I chose wasn’t a good choice. {WE NEVER COMMENTED THAT THE SELECTED COLOR WAS NOT A GOOD CHOICE}
Just face it, you use cheaper lights and they aren’t so great. Regardless of how much you charge it was still crap. {THE LIGHTS WE USED FOR THIS EVENT ARE CONSIDERED PROFESSIONAL PAR FIXTURES IN THE INDUSTRY AND STILL USED BY ALL LIGHTING COMPANIES AROUND THE WORLD. THEY ARE ECONOMICAL AND AFFORDABLE. CHEAP LIGHTS ARE WHAT YOU GET AT A DISCOUNT STORE}
Also I don’t build stages for a living. So in my mind (and I’m sure others can agree)…if I asked for a stage that is 16 by 12 and you say you are providing TWO 8x6 stages it wouldn’t be crazy if I thought that would equal what I asked for. NOW I understand you are saying that it doesn’t and cannot be configured that way. That would have been awesome to know beforehand. I NEVER asked for anything for free so how dare you portray me that way. {WE NEVER SAID OR COMMENTED HERE THAT OUR STAGE COULD OR WOULD BE 16X12. IF A VENDOR IS WRONG, THEN IT SHOULD BE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX IT FOR FREE. THUS THE PREVIOUS ‘FREE’ COMMENT WAS MADE SINCE THE ORIGINAL POST ASSUMED WE WERE WRONG FOR ONLY SHOWING UP WITH ‘HALF OF THE STAGE’}
I asked Lou what we could do to fix it. And he said nothing because all the staging was rented out for the weekend. {SAYING THAT ALL OF THE STAGING WAS RENTED OUT FOR THE WEEKEND IS NOT SAYING ‘NOTHING’}
It is a blatant lie that Lou and my planner met at the venue “holding a copy of the contract in hand” and it was approved. Lou was never there “holding a copy of the contract in hand” with my planner to approve. {LOU AND ONE OF THE OWNERS DID SPEAK OVER THE TELEPONE WITH THE COORDINATOR WHO WAS ONSITE AT THE EVENT. SHE CONFIRMED THAT ‘THEY’ HAD A COPY OF THE SIGNED CONTRACT IN HAND (NOT LOU) SPECIFICALLY SHOWING WHAT WAS DELIVERED WAS THE EXACT ITEMS ON THE CONTRACT. THE COORDINATOR SPECIFICALLY TOLD US THAT THE BRIDE MISUNDERSTOOD.
The stage was delivered on Friday. It was dropped off. My planner has a full time job and Lou is too busy to drive to Kennesaw from Norcross 2 days before an event to approve a stage delivery. Absurd. {WE DELIVERED ALL ITEMS THAT WERE CONTRACTED. OUR DELIVERY/SET UP CREW HAS THE ABILITY TO APPROVE ALL DELIVERED ITEMS. IF YOU ORDERED A TV FROM BEST BUY ONLINE, WOULD YOU EXPECT THE SALESPERSON TO BE ON THE TRUCK?}
BASED ON THE CLIENT’S SECOND POST, THE MOST EVIDENT UNDERSTANDING IS HOW PARTICULAR INFORMATION IS EITHER NOT UNDERSTOOD CORRECTLY OR TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT. HER SECOND POST IS NOT IN LINE WITH OUR ORIGINAL REPLY AND IT CLEARLY SHOWS SHE HEARS OR READS ONE THING AND THINKS ANOTHER, MUCH LIKE THE STAGING ITEMS ON THE CONTRACT AND THE EFFECT OF THE LIGHTING.

I was excited thinking this DJ would be great for our lively crowd and was disappointed with some things especially when he was having trouble with the other vendors and came up and told me at my reception he would never ever do another wedding at this location again. Made me feel awful and was RUDE. One song i really wanted and is played all the time on the radio - He didnt Have....And i guess couldnt download it. My videographer who is also a DJ said himself the DJ was very so so. Also this company requests you have a table set for your DJ to use and of course there wasnt one set up. If i run and owned a DJ company i would require my DJs to always have a back up table in my car or something in case that happens and the venue isnt working well with the DJ. Thank god one of my GUESTs randomly had a table in his car the DJ could use. I trusted taking their word for it and let the DJ read the crowd -EH I kick myself for not really filling out that online song list and pick the songs YOU REALLY WANT to Hear.
Vendor response to review
We at Spectrum feel this review is very unfair based on the overall event environment. The Mother of the Bride emailed us two weeks after the event explaining the various issues she had with the venue and off-premise catering company and wanted the DJ’s support and take on it all. In her own words, “I plan on reporting to the owner of XXXXX (venue) what occurred. I was frazzled enough that night and to have to work with vendors all night and mostly with XXXXX (venue) being a royal pain. Your DJ might be helpful to me since I withheld a portion of money from them. I was not happy at all. When I prepay people I expect top notch from everyone. Please talk to him, send me an email and I will then talk to XXXXX (venue). Thank you very much.”
In particular explanation, it’s not uncommon for a DJ to request that a table and linen be provided by the venue through the client. We actually place our table and electrical requirements in our client contracts and discuss during planning so that it is clearly understood so we don’t have to bring one ourselves, even as backup. Having matching linens at a wedding reception should be incentive enough for a venue or catering company to handle the entire floor plan. So either the client forgot to make this arrangement or the venue or catering company chose not to facilitate. We were certainly thankful that a guest had a banquet table in their vehicle, but the DJ should not be judged for someone else dropping the ball!
Also, we told by the client that since the venue was an old plantation home with several rooms on the main floor, we could patch into their house audio system so that guests could hear music and announcements in each room. After patching into the system and running a sound check, the venue manager told him to unplug it and we certainly would not challenge this. So either the client did not make proper arrangements or the venue chose not to facilitate for any reason. As a result, the DJ quickly moved one of his speakers into an adjoining room to spread out audio as best as possible and should have received a pat on the back for his efforts, but did not.
Regarding the music, the DJ was properly prepared with every song on the bride’s event planners and had current Top40 radio hits. He also had his own internet connection via Clear to download on the fly, but the remote location of this venue was too far out of range and he could not get a connection and the venue was not able to provide a Wi-Fi connection. With modern day technology, we are prepared to download last minute requests, but sometimes we simply can’t and the DJ should not be judged for not having an internet connection, especially when we do not contract that we will have one. In our opinion, complaining about one particular song as a general request is somewhat a stretch!
Overall, this complaint shows you that people generally think that it’s the DJs fault when things go wrong. People will often say that a DJ can “make it or break it,” but you really don’t hear that about venues or caterers. We do our best to properly prepare each event with detailed online planners and event consultations. We give each client the opportunity to create their own playlist with different categories based on their specific timeline of activities. When a limited or no song list is provided, then an experienced DJ will look at guest profiles when making mainstream song choices. Make the people the party and have a great time! Unfortunately for this event, we feel bad that this client had a rough time with the venue and catering and this event environment made it more challenging for the DJ to fix all of their negative emotions before the post-dinner dancing ever started!

I used Spectrum for my lighting in the venue and they did a great job! Was very pleased! Thanks Lou!
GUEST

To put it mildly, this vendor was a great disappointment. After our initial consultation, it was impossible to contact them via phone. I had great expectations for this company. They talked a good talk and provided a great looking planning sheet online. You could outline the flow of your event and (the part I had high hopes for) a notes section where you can put special requests for certain songs as well as "Do Not Play" list. All good things...but the company made changes to my timeline AFTER the final submission date at someone else's request, and on the day of the event, the DJ clearly hadn't read ANY of the notes. I think the kicker was when he started to play a song from our do not play list because a guest had walked up and asked for it. I never expected that my wedding day would be perfect but these guys took the cake on sleepwalking through our event. The only good quality I can note for this DJ was that he was billed as a good mixer and he was. The bottom line, if your music is important to you. Do NOT take a chance of Spectrum Entertainment. They are all talk and no performance.
Vendor response to review
This event had many outside circumstances that made it almost impossible to please everyone!
From our perspective, here’s our list of remarks:
1. The Mother of the Bride (technically our customer who signed our Agreement and paid the bill) did not see eye to eye with her daughter, the bride. The M.O.B. showed up for the planning consultation with clear expectations on how things were to be run during the event, and the bride/groom had their own expectations that did not match completely. To be nice, the surface tone of their conversations in our office was a little startling and initially raised the red flag to us.
2. Both the bride and her mother spoke with the Spectrum representative many times independently over the telephone, often mentioning the struggle with each other. During one conversation, the bride was very upset and as a result, a second planning session was scheduled the week before the event to meet just the bride and groom in desperation to make sure we were on her side.
3. The night before this final meeting, the M.O.B., who had login credentials on the online client account, went in and made changes without her daughter’s consent. The M.O.B. called us to explain her position without the bride knowing and that made us feel very uncomfortable being put in the middle. We told the bride about this conspiring conversation and change, and the bride became even more upset. She never once told us to go against her mother and simply threw her hands up in the air in total frustration. We relaxed her as best as possible and told her the DJ would simply feel things out and it might be best to be somewhat spontaneous to reduce stress levels.
4. During the week of the event, the DJ was instructed to call the bride to review everything (normal protocol). Due to personal work schedules, they did speak but had a hard time connecting. I’m sure this made her more nervous, but not deserving of her “impossible to contact” comment.
5. Although the bride’s song list had some good dance songs on it, it did not have enough selections intended for the older conservative majority of the guest profiles. According to her notes on the planner, over 50% of the guests were over the age of 55. Also, the reception venue was a church hall, and although alcohol was being served, in actuality, they were the ones who were “sleepwalking” until the cake was cut so they could leave!
6. Since the “Electric Slide” and the “Cupid Shuffle” were both selected to be played and successful on the dance floor, the DJ didn’t think that the “Cha Cha Slide” was going to be a big deal as a special guest request. Well, it turns out that song was on the “do not play” list for a personal reason and although it packed the dance floor, he apologized for playing it. This mistake was ours and we discussed the situation as an example during future training meetings with our entire staff on the importance of following instructions completely.
Based on our overall involvement from planning to actual event, it’s obvious to us that the bride did not have the wedding of her dreams. Although a DJ can “make or break” a party, in defense, it’s not always our 100% fault when things go wrong. When defining overall event expectations, outside factors such as venue type and guest profiles has an equally large effect on the overall success of an event. We are just the bus driver and people have to want to get on the party bus! When the dust settles, it’s too easy to go back and nit-pick and elaborate to vent overall frustration. We went above and beyond to cater to the bride and her mother. When this relationship conflicts, we would rather have them stand up to each other and work it out rather than try to settle things thorough a vendor service.

Lou is amazing! What a fabulous DJ. He made the night and can not say enough good things about him!
GUEST

Matt did an amazing job at our wedding! He let us customize every detail down to the minute and even jumped in at the last second to play our ceremony music when the live musician fell through!
GUEST

Spectrum was absolutely wonderful! We booked them after hearing good reviews from friends and we were not disappointed at all! We met with the owner before the wedding and went over exactly what we were looking for in the DJ and the music. They have an online event planning guide that allows you to look at the most requested songs and save your music for special events (like the first dance and anniversary song). Our DJ, Andrew, was so fun and outgoing! We didn't have alcohol at our wedding so it was hard to get certain people out on the dance floor but Andrew got everyone up and moving! He was so nice and full of energy. He played exactly what we wanted and was very professional.
GUEST

Spectrum was fantastic! Their on-line planning tool was so helpful; it allowed me to lay out exactly how I wanted the night to go and Omar (our DJ) did everything we asked. Very upbeat, professional and fun!!
GUEST

We used SE for our DJ, ceremony music and videography. The meetings before the wedding were very professional and the staff was very helpful in helping us decide what music to play. We chose a harpist for ceremony, which was beautiful. The DJ was great, very personable and the videographer was also very good and didn't really notice him there. However, two months after the wedding I called SE to ask about our video and I was told it would be about 3 more weeks and that ours was next in line to be edited. A few weeks later, no video. I call SE and leave a message for Matt and of course he waits until Friday night after 6 to return my call. I called him repeatedly and never got a call back. I only received a call from the editor, not Matt, after I threatened Matt via voice mail to call Flint Hill and complain(SE is on their preferred vendor list and they wouldnt want to lose that cash cow). The editor promised I would have it by Christmas( wedding was in September ). He did provide a highlight reel which was very nice but not the whole video. He keeps promising to send it, emails me last week asking for our address so he could mail it out by last Friday. Here we are a week later and no video. This is going on 4 months now. I'm starting to wonder if I will ever see my video. Take this review for what it's worth. SE does good work but the level of service I received after the wedding and more importantly after we paid was horrendous.

I am so glad we went with Spectrum Entertainment for our entertainment. Matt was awesome with all the set up and prepping before the wedding and Tom Russo was an awesome DJ the day of! I would definitely recommend them and tell you to ask for either Tom or Matt as your DJ!
GUEST

Spectrum was AWESOME! Our DJ, Matt, was professional, easy to get in touch with, and very flexible - we had some last minute family issues and Matt took everything in stride. He was also kind and courteous enough to pay a quick visit to the nervous bride an hour or so before the ceremony to touch base! True professionalism. As for the music, it was FANTASTIC! Any song we requested, he had! Our ceremony scoring was exactly as I'd dreamed, and our reception was fun and kept the party going! Also, Spectrum's pricing is reasonable and fit easily into our budget. I highly recommend Spectrum, and Matt especially. Thank you!

our dj was Lou Guzzo and all i can say is he is AMAZING! he rocked our reception and was totally awesome to work with!! we couldnt of asked for anyone better than Lou. he was nothing but wonderful to work with. i will always reccommend Lou for someone looking for a DJ. Thank you for being so incredibly wonderufl to work with and thank you for making our day more than wonderful!!! EVERYONE at out reception LOVED you!!! We also used Dianne for photography and Dianne is truely the sweetest person ever! She has such a talent and we can not thank her enough for taking such AMAZING pictures of us!! We clicked right from the beginning and i can not wait to see all of our pictures, i would reccomend Dianne a thousand times over!!! Thank you for making out day one of the best and caputring some GREAT memories for us! <3

Spectrum was awesome to work with!! Matt Osbourne is a true professional. He offered us substantial discounts since we booked many different services with him: DJ, harpist, photographers and videographer. It was great for piece of mind that Spectrum was our one-stop-shop. It truly made the day "worry free." Everyone showed up right on time and made us feel like celebrities. The planning sessions prior to our big day were very detailed and everything provided was exactly as planned. I would say that the one negative is that there is a very long turn-around time to see photos and videos. I would certainly recommend this company to any bride!
GUEST

Matt Osbourne was our DJ for both the ceremony and the reception. Our planning session with him a few weeks before the wedding really lowered our anxiety. He was really great with covering all the details and was able to give us a lot of information and advice that helped us tailor our event to make it what we wanted. The online system made it so easy to plan details out. Matt was on time, kept things running smoothly, and was present the whole night without being overbearing. We would highly recommend using Matt as a DJ.

Scott is great! Scott was very thorough and hands on with creating a fun party atmosphere at our wedding. His music choices were perfect and he did an excellent job of gauging what our guests were into (musically) so that they would keep dancing all night!

Matt was our dj and he was awesome! Everyone was dancing and having a blast all night! I would definetly recommend Spectrum.

Spectrum has a host of DJs in their service, but ours, Alex Peri, was FANTASTIC!!!
I didn't want to spent a lifetime planning every song, so other than my mom planning songs for the dinner hour, we literally planned nothing. They had a survey we filled out about the type of wedding music we wanted, and he did the rest. I was EXTREMELY skeptical about Spectrum...until my reception. He was fantastic, and we had a fantastic, classy, fun party!
Alex was the perfect DJ for us, but the great thing about Alex and Spectrum is that they can be the perfect DJ for ANYONE! You have total control over your reception music, whether you want to plan every moment of it or if you want to leave it in their hands (or a mix). Spectrum Entertainment is a very capable entertainment company, and from my experience, Alex Peri is a fantastic DJ. Girls, I LOVE TO DANCE, and we had a great dance party. He really helped make the night perfect!
I hope this helps you girls out there! Having one thing you don't have to worry about will really make your wedding day just a little less stressful :)

Spectrum was great! They were everywhere at our wedding and I am so excited to see it on film since I feel like I didn't get to see everything! So glad they were there to be our eyes and ears! Can't wait to see it! Thank you guys so much for all of your help!

We loved this DJ service. From the very beginning Scott was awesome very personable. He assured that I day would go well with our selected DJ. Our DJ was Kenton, he was just awesome. He had everyone old and young on the dance floor. He worked with my new husband to create a memorable moment at my wedding. He kept everyone very excited throughout the entire reception until the very end. Great Job Kenton. So if you are looking for awesome DJ's that will assure everyone will have a great time Spectrum Entertainment is the vendor for you to use.

Spectrum Entertainment (LOU was our DJ) was amazing!!!! I love the way they mixed all kinds of music for EVERYONE to enjoy! They also provided my ceremony music, which was outstanding! They are on their game, and totally energetic... which is what any bride would want! I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a great time and a memory you will never forget!!!
GUEST

Matt Osborne from Spectrum Entertainment was awesome! He took time to meet with me prior to the wedding to develop a ceremony and reception play list. He had a great sense of humor and was fun to work with during what can be a stressful process. I wanted a great party atmosphere where people danced, and he helped create that with the music. He was low key and did not hog the spotlight, creating a nice balance for the reception. I highly recommend him!
GUEST

Our DJ was really good with our crowd. He was able to figure out exactly what to play with very little input. Everyone had a great time. The pictures came out great. We had some amazing shots. All in all, Spectrum was awesome!
GUEST

all i can say is wonderful!!! matt osborne was my dj... but he was so much more than a dj. he kept me & everyone else on track and kept the reception dancing all night!!!!
GUEST

Spectrum was cheaper than lethal rhythms but more expensive than black tie entertainment when we got our estimates. We don't mind paying extra for quality, but we actually liked the Spectrum representative better than the other two. Fast forward to wedding planning and this same representative was flexible enough to meet with us after hours and help us pick wedding songs! Also, I love how the forms are online. Spectrum was definitely more high tech than some of the DJ companies out there. The DJ was on time, played every single song I requested as a "must play" as well as all the selected songs we picked. Overall I thought he did a great job!
GUEST

Spectrum Entertainment provided the dj services and also our photography and they are the best at what they do. I will contiue to use spectrum to be involved and capture the moments for all of our special occasions. They were very professional but relaxed and knowledgeable at the sametime. Would not go anywhere else.
GUEST

Outstanding in every respect. Matt was very professional from start to finish. We highly reccomend Spectrum-Ent.
GUEST

We were extremely pleased with the DJ services. Our guests were on the floor and having a great time during the entire reception. He was very good at getting everyone involved and keeping the event flowing correctly!! THe photographer and videographer were great as well. We are very happy with the results.
GUEST

Simply said...wonderful! The amazing option to select music digitally and then have those selections played was great! The music for the ceremony was everything I wanted it to be (even though I was too nervous to hear it as I walked down the aisle to Ave Maria). The DJ was everything I wanted him to be and I am grateful for his professionalism and service. For all future brides, you could do far worse.
GUEST

Matt Osbourne was our DJ, and he did an amazing job. He got everyone dancing, and people have been telling us they thought the dj was great ever since. I didn't give him any music list, and he did a great job of feeling out the crowd.
GUEST

Jimmy was a great DJ. He was able to provide music amenable to all ages, as well as traditional greek music. The whole process was streamlined and painless. We enjoyed our wedding reception so much and did not want it to end thanks to him.
GUEST

We haven't seen any of our video yet which is why we didn't rate the videography as high as we maybe should. The videographer was fantastic. He always seemed to get the moments that we are going to want to remember, but he wasn't in "everyone's face." He seemed to stay out of the way while capturing the day which was awesome.
GUEST

The DJ was great! He really made our wedding fun for everyone. He played the songs we requested and was very entertaining. The company was very professional and made sure they understood what we wanted for the big day. We also used their wireless microphone for the ceremony which I really recommend!
GUEST

Lou and Tom were great. I have already given their names to several of my friends with weddings in the future. Lou was so helpful with making our selections and Tom was the perfect DJ for our wedding. Everyone had a blast.
GUEST

Spectrum Entertainment was a recommended vendor from our coordinator at the Four Seasons. I interviewed multiple DJs and quickly found that Spectrum were the only ones that had the personality I was looking for! I didn't need anyone that was shy and reserved, I needed someone that was outgoing and fun! Their online planning tool for the songs, timeline and people was very helpful. However, I only wish that more of our must required songs were played. But, I realize that our DJ was reading the crowd and played what he felt was appropriate.
Scott Smith was our videographer for the entire day. He was beyond amazing. He was there from the exact moment we scheduled until the very end. He had so much energy and brought so much energy to us. I received so many compliments on his personality and professionalism! And, the photo montage he developed for our rehearsal dinner was better than we imagined! Can't wait to see the video!
GUEST

Brian and I used Dianne Hudson (photographer) and Scott (videographer) for our wedding. They did a fantastic job, and we recommend them to anyone planning a wedding. There are no words that can explain how beautiful the pictures turned out. We thank them for capturing every wonderful moment of our wedding.

How would you feel if you and your husband / wife, after working 50+ hours a week, sacrifice several weekends searching for a DJ, believe you find one, create a "must play" and a "do not play" list, invest additional hours in updating their online database with these selections, only to find out that on your wedding day none of your requests are taken into account. In addition, the minutes leading up to your wedding your DJ pulls you aside to request the correct enunciation of your bridal party names (a definate plus), yet, completely disregards the wedding party announcement when push comes to shove. Surely you would think post wedding that you could have used all this time and energy more wisely. Doug, our DJ, never announced the bridal party, never played our much anticipated must play list, and often times played songs that we had on our "do not play" list. We are a couple that values thinking outside of the box. We are a couple who wanted to be unique in our wedding and hoped to acheive this through the music we played during our wedding (hence the many hours we devoted to the song selections). The last thing we wanted to invest our time, money, and energy doing is going with a DJ that simply presses play on their "cookie cutter wedding playlist" track. The only compliment I have is that the sound was good. If you are truely afraid of stepping outside the box then this is the company for you. If you have the slightest bit of individualism, go elsewhere and spend less.

This client has stated false information. Spectrum does provide an online login for clients to use during planning, including our popular “Request List” feature. Here, one can select songs into different categories (“Must Play” and “Play if Possible” and “Do Not Play”). However, once a form has been created, it must be saved by the client in order to submit the list. Live data fields on any web page must be saved or they will be lost! This is exactly what happened to their list…if they indeed had created one. If they spent hours making up a list, we never saw it because they never saved it or submitted it, nor discussed the contents during prior planning. As an administrator to our forms, I have access to every planning form ever created by a Spectrum client and their song list simply is not there! If it was, then the DJ would have properly been prepared with it in hand! During both pre-event planning sessions, their song list was empty so we were never able to discuss the so called contents face to face. Not every client submits a request list so we are easy going and accustomed to this and simply required to feel out the crowd upon making selections. “Play to the people” and “keep the dance floor packed” are typical and achieved by playing “cookie cutter songs” because they absolutely work when we have no other song list in hand. It is unfortunate that some of the songs that were intended on being categorized as a “Do not Play” were played, but we are not mind readers, especially for those who consider themselves “out of the box”. Hey, we are pretty much sick and tired of the Electric Slide” more than anyone, but if we are not directed otherwise and a mom requests it and the dance floor is packed, then what’s the problem? The only specific songs actually submitted where located on the “Reception Planner.” Here, they requested a dozen particular songs to be played during dinner and we can prove that we played every selection by our digital player log for the event. It’s not our problem if the client is running late from post ceremony photos to hear any of those songs while dinner was already being served in the ballroom. They never went up to the DJ to inquire about their list during the event so we had no idea they were displeased. So for any future bride or groom reading this, please feel free to go up and speak to your event vendors during the event if things are not going as expected. Your vendors certainly want to do a great job and if things are off track, it would only take a brief moment to discuss rather than complaining after the event. Speak up! Regarding the wedding party announcement, due to the fact that they were running late, they specifically told the DJ upon reviewing names to go ahead and recognize the wedding party before their introduction and not have them walk specifically into the room as pairs prior to the bride/groom introduction. This would mean that the wedding party would be scattered around the multi-room venue and it cannot be our responsibility if everyone did not hear their name being announced. The wedding planner confirmed that she heard the DJ make the introductions to those in the ballroom. This particular complaint is a far reach and it only stems from not having their intended song list in hand. To prevent future submission problems, the form designer has installed a periodic “reminder to save” pop up window while logged in. In response to their last sentence, if you book a reputable individual DJ service, then most likely you will be spend a lot more money ($1200) and a multi-system company can certainly offer an “outside of the box” service.

We used Spectrum Entertainment for our photography( Dianne Hudson), DJ(Jimmy Economos), and videography(Scott Smith). We were blown away with the service and results that we received. Jimmy did a wonderful job. Guests were dancing until the very end( even after the bar closed). The music was great both at the ceremony and reception. We are still receiving messages about what a wonderful time everyone had. Dianne's photograph's exceeded our expectations. She was very respectful of the events of the day yet didn't miss capturing one thing. Hiring the whole team was such a great idea. They all worked so well together and with Chateau Elan (our venue). There was no coordinating that we had to do. They took care of everything. Our pictures are fabulous, our guests were smiling and dancing and we have the video to look forward to watching over and over. I give Spectrum my highest recommendation(and I am very picky. It was my daughter's wedding). If you are considering putting together different vendors I would strongly recommend hiring the whole Spectrum team, you won't be sorry.
GUEST

Didn't use them, and I should have! The ability to choose music online would have been more helpful and easier. Hindsite really is 20/20! Sorry Lou, I screwed up!

We at Spectrum certainly appreciate this feedback from a bride that regretfully did not use our service. Generally stated, the DJ position is an entry point into the Entertainment Industry and there is a wide range of pricing. Spectrum is proud to have been a leader in the Atlanta market for over 20 years and very confident with our detailed planning and experienced staff. With 25 profiles on current roster, our pricing is more than the beginners and less than some individual providers. We suggest for all future brides to fully understand the value of service and its impact on the overall success of your event before setting an entertainment budget.
GUEST

Our DJ was organized, helpful, patient, and honest. He helped us map out the music for our entire wedding ceremony and reception. He did an amazing job and I would definitely hire him again for any future event.
GUEST

I love Spectrum!! I enjoyed working with them very much and would recommend them to even the pickiest of brides. I used Spectrum for my photography and music, both ceremony and reception, and everything was perfect. I worked with DJ Scott Mikell and he was so thorough with our song requests. He was super fun and had everyone out on the dance floor! Diane Hudson was our photographer and she was so sweet and easy to work with, as was her assistant, Brittany. They both did a beautiful job on our pictures!
GUEST

Great DJ, good select of song lists, professional at all times. Works very well with your requests.
GUEST

We hired Jimmy E as our DJ for our wedding. Very professional in appearance; however, I was extremely unhappy with the lack of songs played on my playlist. I spent HOURS developing my playlist and I only had approximately 2-3 hours worth of songs on the list for the entire wedding/reception. A good portion of those songs were never played. I had a couple of relatives ask why the playlist was not being played during the wedding and Jimmy's response was that it wasn't long enough so he had to add additional songs. That's fine but ALL of my songs need to be played before there is any adding of additional songs. I was pretty annoyed that I had spent so much time on something that wasn't even fully used!

The best part about this company is the great way you are able to set up your play list. Leading up to the event, you are provided a website in which to fill out all your event information as well as request songs and/or genres of music to be played at your event. If the song is not listed, they will find it for you.
Everyone had a great time at our wedding reception, dancing the night away thanks to the great music! A perfect blend of our tastes and songs all the guests would enjoy!

Great DJ, good select of song lists, professional at all times. Works very well with your requests.

They were a fabulous group of DJ's and showed up early and went over everything with me. It was an amazing experience.

BRIDES BEWARE!!!!! LOU GUZZO CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO US SO WE BOOKED HIM IN JUNE 2008 FOR A MAY 2009 WEDDING!!! THE WEEK BEFORE THE WEDDING HE LEAVES A MESSAGE THAT HE IS NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO THE WEDDING OR RECEPTION BECAUSE OF PERSONAL PROBLEMS TO MUCH INFORMATION!! HE PRECEDED TO TELL ME ALL ABOUT, BUT HE IS SENDING A VERY QUALIFIED DJ TO TAKE HIS PLACE!!! WELL HE SENT A DEAD FISH IN THE SEA BY THE NAME OF ANDY!!! PAID FOR 2 SOUND SYSTEMS, THE SOUND SYSTEM FOR THE CEREMONY DID NOT WORK SO HE USED THE SOUND SYSTEM FOR THE RECEPTION WHICH WAS IN A SEPERATE BUILDING AND DID NOT PLAY THE MUSIC ACCORDING TO THE TIME LINE AT ALL SO NEEDLESS TO SAY THE CEREMONY WAS A DISASTER. THEN THE DISASTER CONTINUES WITH ANDY AT THE RECEPTION, COULD NOT HEAR THE BRIDAL PARTY INTRODUCTION AT ALL AND THAT WAS THE ONLY WORDS HE SPOKE ALL NIGHT!! NEEDLESS TO SAY HE DID NOTHING TO GET THE CROWD INVOLVED!!THANK GOODNESS FOR OUR FAMILY DANCING, WE COULD HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT SPECTURM'S HELP!!! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE EVENT WAS PATHETIC, CHRIS AND LOU, IN TRYING TO GET A REFUND ON THIS DISASTER! TOOK MONTHS TO GET A SMALL PORTION OF IT BACK!! BRIDES, THIS IS TO BE ONE OF THE HAPPIEST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE! TAKE MY ADVICE AND KEEP LOOKING, DON'T SETTLE FOR THIS!! OUR DAUGHTER GETTING MARRIED=PRICELESS/THIS COMPANY=WORTHLESS!!!

Yes we did have a last minute replacement due to a personal emergency and had to react in a moments notice. Spectrum is prepared with backup procedures for every event and Andy was scheduled as our backup DJ that weekend. It was raining prior to the ceremony and the overall tension was high on location. He decided not to set up the ceremony system outside on the threat of more rain so he decided to use the inside system instead with relocating his speakers outside. The coordinator did not direct him when the music was to be faded for each song so he had a challenging time with the music cues. We refunded her the entire ceremony fee and Andy learned a valuable lesson that you must have a line of sight with the coordinator for every outdoor ceremony.
During the reception, he did make ALL of the important announcements, including Introductions and played all of the requested music on her planners. The party picked up after the cake (typical) and her guests danced for the rest of the event. He gauged and reacted to the crowd and received many compliments by her guests.
The real issue was unfortunately the fact that Spectrum was not able to provide the DJ that she was expecting due to unforseen circumstances. In these situations by experience, the replacement DJ always has a more difficult time pleasing the client. It is very rare that he makes a bigger service impression than the one they were originally expecting, because weddings are a very emotional event. We are truly sorry for her disappointment and we promptly offered her a partial refund.
GUEST

Our DJ, Lou, was phenomenal! He was so organized and knew exactly what he was doing! We had great communication before the wedding. The day of, I was a mess. Lou took over and did an excellent job! He played songs everyone liked and that were appropriate for all our guests! Lou was fun and very entertaining all night!
GUEST

Our DJ was Jim. He did a great job and all our friends really loved the music selection. We picked out some songs beforehand & he adapted to the genre of the song selection. Everyone had a great time on the dance floor. Our wedding was only partially in English so he figured everything out pretty well. Jim also adapted to the last minute changes of the reception timeline & coordinated everything with our MC & photographers. We ended the reception earlier than anticipated so Jim stayed around & played background music until most people left.
The one glitch we had was he couldn't find the song to our 1st dance so we dance to another song. Later, he found the song so we danced to it too. We were pretty happy with having two first dances.
Spectrum also went out of their way to educate our outdoor venue around having speakers & regulating the noise levels. Overall, we had a great experience with everyone we dealt with at Spectrum. I would highly recommend them.
One thing that sort of threw us back was we had to select the music for every events during the reception & some more. I'm not sure if this is the norm. Before this, I was under the impression that you tell the DJ your 1st dance song & music style & he would have everything for you. So we ended up spending a good amount of time before the wedding picking out music.
GUEST

Jimmy Economos was awesome! He followed up on our songlist, played some traditional Irish songs during dinner, and was a hit with everyone. He knows how to read the crowd and vary the music.
GUEST

The music was beautiful and amazing. I really enjoyed their music along with my wife. Everyone was dancing.
GUEST

My DJ was Jimmy Economos and he did a fantastic job! There were people dancing the entire reception and I recieved many compliments on the music. My husband and I had a fantastic time because Jimmy took care of everything.. we loved it!
GUEST

The DJ was very professional and organized. He was able to give great suggestions. My only comment is that he could have read the crowd a little more to keep the party going. Overall, everyone had a great time!
GUEST

Matt Osbourn was our DJ for both our ceremony music and our reception. He was amazing! He was extremely helpful in selecting ceremony music that was right for us- both something traditional and not the same as everyone else. My husband and I selected songs we liked, songs we had to have, and songs that we never want to hear again; and, Matt created the perfect balance. Everyone danced, even my grandmother who is known for never dancing (and didn't dance at my cousin's wedding a few months prior)! His timing was spot on and his personality is wonderful.
GUEST

Matt was the best. FABULOUS! He was so thorough and really helped us pick out certain songs. He was the best!
GUEST

I can't say enough about how great Spectrum was. They were affordable and flexible. They were responsive and helpful. Tom Russo was my DJ, and he was just what I was looking for... he was composed and professional, he played exactly the songs I had asked for (and none of the ones I didn't want!) and even made a last minute change on our groom/mother dance. Everyone danced and had a great time, and no one complained that my DJ was "cheesy" or talked too much. I would recommend Spectrum to anyone!
GUEST

My DJ was Eric and he was amazing, he even got people to get up and dance and taught them some steps..every one loved him. Dianne Hudson was our photographer and is did an amazing job, she was friendly, easy going and very flexible. The pictures are so beautiful that all our friends took her number to do family pictures.
Joe was our Videographer and he did a good job putting the wedding DVD together, he does any editing you need and makes it unique.
I will use Spectrum again for all our special occasions, they were more than professional and very friendly at the same time.
GUEST

Spectrum was great! I highly recommend them!
GUEST

Spectrum provided great service at our reception and kept everyone dancing. However, things were not totally smooth in the planning phase. Our DJ consistently made mistakes in our event timeline leading up to the wedding and it took us several attempts to get it corrected so it matched the other vendors.
The other issue I had was that 4 days before our wedding the DJ said he could not find the song we wanted played for the bride and groom's first dance. We had met with him a couple of months prior to the wedding and gave him the song choice so it was frustrating to get this news so late.
My husband ended up buying the song on Amazon and sending it to the DJ but in my opinion this should have been handled during our final meeting or shortly thereafter, and NOT 4 days before the wedding.
GUEST

Our DJ, Scott Mikkel was wonderful. He agreed to stay an extra half hour for a small additional fee and was very meticulous about playing the songs we wanted and checking with us before playing anything we had blacked out, even if requested by our guests. I was very pleased with their service.

Spectrum did a great job! They helped guide us to songs that would flow together well and keep our group moving. I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone else.
GUEST

We used Dianne Hudson as our wedding photographer. SHE IS HORRIBLE!!!!! It has been about a year and half since our wedding and we apparently will never ever have even a remotely decent photo of our wedding day! Since Dianne was so grossly incompetent we have had to take our dvd of photos she gave us to two other photographers to try to see if they could do something with them. Basically very little can be done because of the poor quality of Dianne's photos. PLEASE DO NOT USE SPECTRUM IF YOU WANT A PHOTO OF YOUR SPECIAL DAY! You are better off having a family member use a throw away camera. You will get better results!
GUEST

I can not say enough nice things about our DJ! We were so impressed! So many people after the wedding could not stop commenting on how fun...yet professional the DJ was. He knew exactly how to keep people dancing and having a good time. They are reliable...on time kinda people and that made us not have to worry about anything on the wedding day. Thank you for making our reception a night everyone...young and old... will remember for years to come!
GUEST

This was an overall good experience. The only problem we had is that we met with one person to set up our contract and music list, then had a different DJ. The DJ apparently did not get our list of music we wanted to hear. We had a list of a lot of 80's music and we only got to hear one song from the 80's and one of our guests had to request that. So I would make sure I met with the DJ before to make sure you are on the same page about music.
GUEST

Charles Rutterbush did a fantastic job for us. Our only complaint: not enough time for dancing!
GUEST

This company was very easy to work with. Doug Knight was my DJ and he was prompt and flexible since the ceremony was changed at the last minute from outside to inside. He definitely helped the flow of the day. We would use this company and this DJ again.
GUEST

After our intial meeting with Spectrum and our first several emails with our contact, we stopped hearing from him. We started to shop around again, but eventually heard from someone else with the company and decided to stay with them. We did not regret this decision! We had a great reception. Everyone had fun! The music was exactly what we wanted, the tone was approprate, and the DJ's personality was great! The evening started out with softer, older music and as the reception progressed and older people headed home, things got more current and a little louder. Our friends and relatives all had a great time and we did too.
GUEST

We booked Scott Mikell as our DJ and could not have been happier. The contact people in the office were wonderful and very helpful. We actually chose Scott based on his reviews from the website and were very pleased. They have a list of songs that they give you to mark ones you don't want and ones you definitely want and we did not do that. Despite our lack of help Scott was perfect. All we requested was that everything be tailored to the age groups there at any time and that there be no specialty songs like the Macarena or YMCA. He was amazing, everyone loved it and we had all ages dancing at any given time. I would highly recommend Spectrum and Scott for any event.
GUEST

This company is great to work with. The DJs are great and now how to get a party going. I had a conservative church group but my Dj got them all on the dance floor partying it up. They have every song that you can think of and they don't have the song and you want they get if for you, no problems. These men have a great deal of experience and now how run a reception smoothly. In addition to this they know music so they know what songs will sound great doing those "special moments". The price is nothing for the level of service you receive! I highly recommend!!!
GUEST

They say that Spectrum is the best, and I believe it. We worked with Matt Osborne and he was fantastic!!
He played everything we asked him to play, guided us through the reception (thank God someone did!!), and best of all, he was very considerate of my request to make sure my dad had a place to sit down during the bride/groom dance and other times when guests would be standing for a long period of time. Actually, I think he may have made it his personal goal to make sure my dad was okay! It truly eased my mind in ways I can't describe.
Prior to the wedding, we met w/ Matt for a consultation and he immediately understood that we didn't want a slew of cheesy music. His suggestions were immediately customized to our taste, and he saved us a ton of time. An added bonus, Matt had DJ'ed at our venue before, so he was familiar with the electrical setup there and was able to advise us on the best layout of the venue with regards to to setting up the DJ table, speakers, etc.
We were also at peace of mind knowing that we were working with a group that had several DJ's so that if anything happened that Matt wasn't available on the day of our wedding, someone would be there. I never wanted to put all of my eggs in one basket in terms of a DJ....so Spectrum was perfect for us.
GUEST

We used Matt Osborne from Spectrum Entertainment as our DJ for both our ceremony and reception. He was great - obviously knew was he was doing and had handled weddings at our venue (Anthony's) before, plus was very understanding and receptive about the kinds of things we wanted and didn't want.
GUEST

The company is very professional and easy to deal with. The music selection of our DJ was a little disappointing, though. He accomodated us by playing the music we wanted for dinner, and this was great. If you go with Spectrum, I recommend talking to their DJs very specifically before the event starts so that everyone is on the same page.
GUEST

I believe we used Matt, the owner. He was great to work with. Had a blast!
GUEST

Absolutely great job with the music selection, recommending songs and helping us pick out songs for the special moments at the reception. Very cheap for all the work they did too!!
GUEST

I really loved Matt Osborne who was our MC on our wedding day...he made it all very special and unique to our portuguese/hispanic/caucasian wedding...it was a blast!!
GUEST

I was not satisfied with my first engagement video (I didn't provide enough pictures) and he happily redid it for me. He was happy to be at the wedding, shot all of the important people and my video turned out great!
GUEST

The DJ was very helpful. we only had to meet up with him once (although it was a little difficult to schedule our meeting as he did events over the weekend,) we emailed him our song choices, and were pretty much done. He already had a relationship with our reception site (Anthony's on Piedmont,) so he worked well with them and made our reception very memorable. Listened to our requests and "got the crowd going" when needed.
GUEST

Our DJ was the best! He played all the songs we loved, he helped announce things (like our first dance, when we cut the cake, etc.) You could tell he was paying attention to everything and how people responded to the songs so he could keep playing upbeat songs. We even decided to keep him on for an hour longer than we'd scheduled him to be there and it was no problem. They just sent us a bill for the extra hour in the mail. Spectrum is pretty pricey but trust me .... you get what you pay for! I made a huge mistake by not getting them to do our wedding video. I paid half the price with another company but it took them over 6 months to get the video to us and it was a very poor quality.
GUEST

Not happy with Spectrum at all and they did my videography too. The DJ played every song I had on my DO NOT PLAY list and had to be told to stop. When I asked him where my song selections were he stated that he never received them which was CRAP. I had e-mailed them to him and his boss and both confirmed receipt. It was awful. My bridesmaids had to contanstly go up to him and tell him what to play. If he had played Shania Twain one more time, I would have tackled him.
GUEST

Richard Gray was our DJ. We loved having him because he is one of these dj's who doesnt take the spotlight. Some people may prefer to have someone loud and gets the crowd going. Richard was the perfect mix of creating a fun party without being overbearing or loud. He also has years of experience and played everything we asked for. We would hire him again in a second for any other party we host.
GUEST

Spectrum Entertainment was the perfect choice for our wedding. At the planning session, Matt at Spectrum helped us pick out our ceremony music and other songs for the reception. Our DJ Todd, showed up on time to the wedding and did an awesome job. The dance floor was never empty!
GUEST

We got a DJ in addition to the band since we were planning the wedding outside we didnt know if musician would carry well in our space. I wanted really strong, clear music and thought that CDs would be better. We were pleased with the music played during the ceremony. He adjusted when our Rabbi mixed things up a bit and played everything exactly as specified. For the most part the music during the reception was what we wanted. He did play one song we had requested not be played when it was requested by a family member. We were also appalled to hear him play Who Let the Dogs out and it cleared the dance floor. Again, another guest request. To the djs credit, it was not on the do not play list. We did request that he only made announcement when necessary and not introduce songs or talk a lot and he followed that rule exactly.
GUEST

Spectrum provided an amazing one-stop shop for our entertainment. We loved our string quartet, our DJ Brad and our videographer was amazing. I also recommended Brad (DJ) to my maid of honor for her wedding - and he was great there as well! He was fun, outgoing and kept the party going. Everyone was great!
GUEST

Our reception venue recommended this DJ service and had worked with Matt Osbourne before. Matt was not able to do our wedding, so we had Charles Rutterbush. Compared to the price of everything else we paid for for the wedding, I thought the price was great! We ended up at the reception later than we had thought, but the DJ was ready to accomendate for the lost time and make sure everything was ft into the time allowed and still flowed smoothly.
Spectrum Entertainment is a company run by a bunch of fabulous people! An absolute pleasure to work with, and a vendor I suggest to all of my clients 100%.
These guys are awesome. Always professional and so great to work with.
Great, reliable vendor!

I have worked with SE Events on several video projects. The staff there is very professional. Book them for all your video, DJ and photo needs.
Matt and Lou are amazing DJ's and they know how to keep a party going. We recommend them to every bride we meet. You couldn't ask for a more professional, personable and fun company for your wedding music needs.
Great DJ's! They always have everyone on the dance floor!
I had the pleasure of working with Spectrum Entertainment at a recent wedding. Matt Osborne provided DJ services and he was such a joy to work with! He was organized, efficient and best of all, a great DJ! I was so impressed with his ability to keep the crowd on the dance floor. He really read the overall mood in the reception and played all the right songs to keep that particular crowd engaged. He has a great, fun personality and his MC skills are also top notch! I hope to work with the Spectrum team again, especially Matt! - Laura Birney Events

It is important to know the difference between different types of DJs and what is best for their event. There are different types of DJs across this country so it’s a good idea discuss your overall expectations with your fiance and your families. A friend of the groom might be a great mix DJ at the local club, but has limited wedding experience with a mobile system! Every wedding reception needs the DJ to be a confident MC and work closely with your whole team of vendors. Make sure your DJ is not afraid of the microphone, but also someone who doesn’t use it too much for your tastes.
Here, a list of questions and tips to keep in mind when booking your wedding entertainment:
1. What is their specific experience level at their venue? Do they know the staff and service style? Most venues have a list of favorite vendors that have earned placement and is a great reference.
2. Is the DJ willing to sit down and listen to the couple to learn their likes and dislikes concerning music and interaction? Or does the DJ just provide a typical “package” with lights and inflatable give-a-ways regardless if you want them or not?
3. Does the DJ have back up procedures concerning equipment and staff? What happens if a speaker blows or the DJ gets sick the night before?
4. Is the DJ networked within the private event industry and affiliated organizations to help represent standards of excellence within its field?
5. A bride should book a DJ (or Band) as soon as they have booked the date and venue. With strong referral networks, the venue preferred entertainers get booked first! It’s always recommended to book it now and have final planning 45-30 days prior to the event.
