Split Second Sound is AWESOME! Steve was wonderful. Everyone still talks about how wonderful our DJ service was! Steve had the best personality. I would definately use them again!

I cannot say enough of what Jonny Piscitelli did for my daughter's wedding and reception. He helped us with organization, suggested songs for the various moments during the reception (such as cutting the cake, toasts, etc.) and handled the entire ceremony with perfect timing. If you are stressing over this major event in your son or daughter's life, please stop worrying and call Split Second Sound. You will be so glad you did. I know we were. I highly recommend them to everyone, no matter what the event.

They are expensive but well worth it. There was not a dull moment at the reception. Levar is the best! He is very professional and asks you questions to find out what kind of party it will be and what the average age group is. Everyone was on the dance floor from the start of the night until the end of the night, not a dull moment. He's the bomb!! I would DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone!

Eric was AMAZING he did everything that we asked of him and because of that had the party we wanted at our wedding. Thank you guys so much!!

Where do I start? Jonathan and James (JD) were assigned to my wedding and they were, in one word, INCREDIBLE! As soon as the wedding party arrived, Jonathan was able to easily coordinate a few last minute things without interrupting the flow of our reception. From that point on, our entire reception ran smoothly and flawlessly with him coordinating. When JD got the dance floor going, there was nonstop dancing for 4 hours. He played all of the latest hits and the best of the best in old school r and b to keep the party moving! I’ve been told several times since our wedding that this was the most fun people had at a wedding in a long time. The dance floor was never empty…all toasts, announcements, introductions went perfectly. You get what you pay for! And I paid for an unbelievable and memorable wedding reception with the assistance of Split Second Sound. Quit playing around and hire these guys...and gals!

Jonah with Split Second Sound was AMAZING! He was so much fun and did exactly what we asked of him! He listened to us, met with us, recommended songs when we needed help and then helped our wedding turn into such a great event!! Split Second Sound did an AMAZING job at our wedding reception. Our photographer actually recommended them, and so we decided to visit their booth at a wedding expo in Charlotte. The minute we met Jonny, we knew he was the perfect person to have leading our wedding reception. He was so friendly, and was willing to talk with me about wedding details as much as I wanted. The week before the wedding we had a lot of major changes and Jonny was very understanding and made the whole process so easy and fun. Throughout the entire reception he and Jesse were so energetic and overall fun people to be around. During dinner, Jonny went around to all the tables asking for song requests (and our friends and family LOVED this)! After the wedding our friends were so impressed to see them out on the dance floor. We actually had several other engaged couples tell us that they wanted their DJs to do the same at their wedding! Jonny and Jesse worked so hard that night (we provided them with dinner but we didn't see them take one break)! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. I honestly believe that they are the reason why we all had such an amazing time that night!!

The Split Second Sound team of Levar and Jonah did an amazing job at our wedding. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the entire night. Vinny and his crew made our night so memorable! They were quick to move the equipment inside when it began to rain. Our entire wedding party did not stop dancing once Vinny and his crew got the music going! Our 7 year old daughter was so into the music that she grabbed the mic and sang her heart out! My daughter's wedding was 7/8/11 the lead MC/DJ was Jonny. My daughter had explained to him that the majority of the people at the wedding would be between 40 - 55, that her family loved music and to dance, the grooms family was very conservative and didn't dance at all. She wanted to make every one feel comfortable and have a great time. That is exactly what Jonny did. When my husband and I walked in, we knew that the reception was going to be great. The music was perfect, the MC'ing was fantastic, and the dancing was so much FUN!!!! With the fact that there was no alcohol, little kids, old people, young adults and a grooms family who doesn't like to dance, Jonny had a bit of a "challenge". But he truly was wonderful! He did a fantastic job of getting the party hopping, keeping the party moving, and making everyone feel comfortable, no matter if they were young, old or just sitting down! He was even able to get the grooms family out on the floor a couple of times. My five year old grandchildren (twins boy and girl) danced all night. I asked my granddaughter later what was her most favorite part of the whole wedding (she was the flower girl) and she quickly said "dancing" The song selection was great. Great mix of country, Motown and oldies! Jonny got out on the floor and danced with us. We all had so much fun. I'm still sore from all the twisting and shouting I did! I received numerous compliments all night, and later after the reception everyone wanted to know what DJ we used. I will be forever happy to recommend Split Second Sound. A very grateful mother of the bride!

Split second sound was amazing! we had them do our reception, ceremony and cocktail hour music and it was perfect! they played great songs that had all of our guests all ages up and dancing, we had so many compliments on our entertainment and some of our friends wanted their information for events they were planning. They were very professional, friendly and flexible meeting with us in the evenings due to our work schedules, i would recommend split second sound to anyone who wants to worry less and have a dj they can trust to do an amazing job :)

Split Second Sound was awesome!! We had more compliments on them then we did any other part of the wedding. They made me feel totally relaxed; I was never worried about what was coming or what I was supposed to be doing. They had the whole wedding reception completely organized and running very smoothly. Everyone danced all night long. It was the wedding reception I had always wanted. You will not be disappointed with them, trust me!!!

We hired Steve of Split Second Sound for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and he and his team did an amazing job for all three. Each part of the evening exceeded our expectations, and music was a major priority for us. We absolutely loved working with Steve and the personal care he gave, prior to the wedding to meet with us, go over our music requirements and he made sure that everything was perfect for our wedding. He has such a great personality and great grasp on what will get people dancing, that he turned our reception into an amazing party. It was such a blast that guests from another reception came down and told us that our reception was blowing away their party, because our music/ DJ was so awesome! After having SSS and Steve DJ our wedding, there is absolutely no way we would every use anyone else and we can't thank them enough!

When we first met with Vinny I had an idea that I want him as my DJ and in the first 5 minutes I was sold. When I first meet with each vendor I have a list of questions to ask each of them before we sign a contract. They usually go through their spiel about what makes them different and why we should go with them. Well we met with Vinny he had answered every question I had! On top of that, we signed a contract on the spot because he's just that good with his craft. His company has been more than accomodating. Also, Vinny's father-in-law sings Frank Sinatra and many of my guests thought it was the track singing. They had to do a double take! My guests are coming up to us saying how much fun they had at the wedding.They truly made our wedding unique and put our personalities into it. He is extremely thorough in making sure you are getting what you paid for, as well as making sure everything goes smoothly! Talking about everything going smoothly my wedding was rained out and when I found out that we couldn't have the wedding outside I was upset. Vinny helped calm me down and assured me that everything looks fantastic and they got everything handled! I will never forget that because I needed that at that moment. The rain didn't matter to me anymore, all that mattered was the ceremony and having a blast at the reception! Vinny always gave suggestions but never pushed his ideas on to us! I never had a doubt that Split Second Sound wouldn't deliver. Vinny and the Split Second Sound crew did an AMAZING job for our wedding (honestly I don't think amazing is a good enough description of what he did for Ed and my wedding)!

Split Second did a great job at our reception. We had a slight problem with the microphone during my sister’s speech but they were quick to fix it! I was happy with all the songs we requested. Thought we might have more current “dance” music but I’m sure he got some requests from some of the older folks. Split Second was professional and it was great working with our DJ. He made an effort to get to know us and know what we like prior to the big day which was appreciated. We are thankful for his services and hard work!

My wife and I cannot say enough great things about Split Second Sound and especially Steve. SSS was very easy to work with. We were able to Skype with prospective SSS DJ's, and this allowed us to find the right person for us without leaving our home. We connected with Steve right away. He was happy to offer up ideas and suggestions to help the order and flow of the reception, but never pushed his ideas on us or made us feel pressured. He was an ideal partner in orchestrating our reception. Steve's experience really shone through during the reception. To quote Steve, "When you guys get to the reception, all of the hard stuff is over. You guys can enjoy yourselves and I'll take care of everything from there." That's exactly what happened. Most importantly, we always felt that our input was valued and put to use. We heard all of our suggested music both during dinner and dancing. He kept the party going the whole night. We had heard wonderful things about SSS through our wedding planners, The Charmed Event, but you still never know what to expect. We were so incredibly happy with Jonah and his team. They played every song we asked for and didn't play anything we asked him to stay away from. He had everyone up and dancing...even the older people that we didn't think would! It was perfect! He even knew exactly how to stall when I forgot my garter for the garter toss! Would HIGHLY recommend SSS and Jonah specifically to DJ your wedding!

I absolutely loved this company. I had several friends recommend them to me. They were amazing! DJs Jonny and Mike made my wedding day all the more memorable and special. Everything was seamless from beginning to end. These guys are truly gifted. Not only did they DJ, but they were so much more. They are exactly what they claimed to be, party motivators. They made the party. They kept the crowd involved and they even danced with us. We had the most compliments on their services. I was 110% satisfied. I would recommend them to anyone.

Split Second Sound entertainment is great!! We hired a "billy joel" piano player for our cocktail hour and a dj for the reception - they were both fantastic!! The dj's are personable, truly take into consideration what the bride & groom want for their wedding, as well as gets to know the guests and what they'd like to hear. They are professional, take the time to get to know you and communicate!!

We got married on May 29th and made the wonderful decision to have Split Second Sound do our music for both our reception as well as our ceremony. Jonny and Eric did an amazing job getting our guests to thoroughly enjoy every minute of our classy party! Eddie & Jon were INCREDIBLE. Being wedding photographers ourselves, Walter & I both know how important a good DJ is to a wedding. It can completely ruin or make the reception. Eddie & Jon definitely made the reception. It could not have run any smoother or been any more perfect. Our DJ, Mark was wonderful and really brough a lot of energy to our reception! Split Second Sound really does a great job reaching out to you and really learning what you want your reception to be like and how the DJ can play a part in making that happen! I asked for club type music but when I came back from changing into my second dress I found that beach music and 70's had been playing for the last 15 to 20 minutes. He did change it once I told him too but it would have been nice if he had listened the first time - before the wedding.

My husband, Craig, and I were married on April 30, 2011. We held the reception at Bonterra in Dilworth and from the moment we arrived in the parking lot, until we pulled away four hours later, Steve was exceeding my expectations! He met our car as it pulled up and quickly started lining up the wedding party and verifying the introductions. He quickly coordinated our entrance and kept everyone captivated as we moved into the first dance. From the bouquet toss to the cake cutting, Steve was right by our side making sure the timing and execution was perfect. Not only did we have a perfect, seamless reception, but the music selection was awesome and the dance floor was packed the entire night. Split Second Sound is reasonably priced and they demonstrate unmatched customer service! They provide you with a worksheet that lets you plan out the entire event from start to finish. I was able to pick "Must Have" songs and "Absolutely Do Not Play" songs, as well as coordinate specific songs with different events throughout the reception (cake cutting, garter toss, etc). Steve kept in touch leading up to the wedding day to make sure all the details were ironed out and I had his cell phone number to add in any last minute changes/requests. I wish I could do it all over again! Thanks a million!

They know how to party! posted 5/13/2011 Split Second Sound did an awesome job with our wedding reception! We actually had an emergency situation happen at our wedding, and as most ppl do, everyone felt the need to leave the room to see what was going on. Derek, the DJ, was VERY proactive in getting the party pumped back up to get everyone back in the room. He did an awesome job and before we knew it, everyone was back in the room and having a great time. Thanks to Split Second Sound, we have an amazing reception and would give anything to re-live it!

I booked Vinny for my wedding and I have nothing but great things to say about him. He and his team were very easy to work with and fun. Everything went very smoothly and all my guests kept telling me that they had never had so much fun at a wedding! Vinny knew exactly what I wanted and he delivered.

My husband and I were married on March 13, 2011 using Split Second Sound. We knew Joe through church, so he was a great match for our needs. We weren't looking for the typical wedding party environment, and requested music for to match. In addition, we also wanted to incorporate my husband's Cuban roots with various songs. Joe did a great job incorporating all of our requests and managing his time since the reception was shorter than average. SSS is very professional and responds quickly to your questions. Would highly recommend!

Our experience with Split Second Sound exceeded all of our expectations! Jonny and Joey were awesome!! Jonny really took the time to get to know us and what we wanted on our day. We met with Jonny a few times before the wedding and he was willing to meet anywhere at any time, he was flexible to our needs. Meeting with Jonny we knew right away that he knew what he was talking about and he loves what he does. Jonny and Joey knew that time was important and we wanted the most dancing time possible, and the way they made everything flow was great. Once we hit the dance floor, no one ever sat down. The music was awesome! They played all of our "must haves" and didn't play any of our "no ways". No one wanted the party to end. It's months later and people still talk about how our wedding was the best and most fun wedding they have ever been to!! If we could, we would re-live the night over and over and over again. I can't say enough great things about them! I would highly recommend Jonny and Joey for any occasion!

Split Second Sound is the best DJ service in Charlotte! They are so professional and nice. Any time I emailed with a question, I got back an immediate response. Some wedding vendors will blow you off for weeks - they never did this! Dennis and Neil were the DJ's at our wedding and they were really fun! My friends had a blast and I know it's because they played great music!

Vinny was great to work with. Although there was some confusion and communication issues, Vinny worked through them and worked everything out for my big day. He even worked very well with me to create the elaborate entrance and reception flow that my husband and I dreamed of. Our guests had a great time dancing, and the night was a true party because of Vinny. They are one of the more expensive DJ companies, but they do an excellent job with not just the music, but the flow of the reception.

Everyone had a fantastic time...They kept the party going. I don't think there were more than 3-4 people left in their chairs by the time the cake was cut! Great Great Great!!

As parents of the bride, we must share with everyone that we were 100% pleased with Vinny and Split Second Sound!We were introduced to Vinny Esposito through our Wedding Planner. Split Second Sound was exactly what we were looking for. We met with Vinny once in the beginning of the wedding planning process. After we left our initial meeting my daughter grabbed my arm outside their studio and said, “Mom… I’ve got to have them!” Without giving away what I consider their trade secret to getting the room up and hopping… I will say Vinny definitely has a unique way of approaching his events and how his music and show will entertain even the most difficult of crowds. In our opinion the musical entertainment can make or break the best of weddings/events. We were very concerned that our 10am wedding wouldn’t have the same memorable “splash” as most evening weddings. (There is something about dancing past midnight that everyone loves!) We were not disappointed! Vinny was fabulous! You only get one chance at your daughter’s wedding… it is important to follow the advice of your wedding planner and the professionals she puts before you. We’re glad we did! By far the best DJ I have ever seen...our guests were on their feet all night... Even some of our waiters would dance as they passed through the dance floor, and my husband's 80+ year old grandparents were on the dance floor for most of the night... Two of my bridesmaids have requested his card for their weddings. Everyone commented on how good Vinnie and his assistant were...So many people came up to me after to say "That DJ was awesome"...and "I've never had so much fun..." We took Vinnie's suggestions on when events should take place (and in what order), and the night was perfect...we knew he was worth every penny from the moment the introductions started. He knows how to make the night flow from one event to the next and what works best to get the crowd involved...Also, one of my pet peeves at a wedding is when the music is so loud that you can't carry a conversation with other guests. I was concerned about this with our venue since our ballroom was on the smaller side, but this was not a problem with Vinnie...The music was just loud enough to get people up and dancing, but quiet enough that they could easily carry a conversation when not dancing. Vinnie has a unique way of getting people involved...I HIGHLY recommend him!!!!

We could not have asked for a better group to work with! A DJ is so important to how the wedding reception flows and how much fun your guests have. We all had a blast! Split Second Sound is a very professional group. They really know what they are doing. They were great at getting the guests involved and getting people to really enjoy themselves. Neil and Rasheed did an excellent job for both our ceremony and reception. We left the music selection for the reception up to the DJ's and they did a superb job choosing songs. Rasheed kept the entire evening exciting. They are a little expensive but I feel you get more than what you ask for and an unforgetable wedding!

Split Second Sound offers a variety of different DJ's that you can pick from (provided they are not booked in advance for the day that you need them). They are not like your normal DJ that is trying to advertise at the event they are currently at. They try and customize their services to what you would like/ need for your day.

Defiantly recommend Split Second Sound! This DJ provides a worry free service for you wedding! Give them a call!

Split Second Sound is AMAZING. Vinnie was very easy to work with, and very helpful in helping us choose a package to suit our needs. They are very well priced, and worth the money. Our DJ met with us to discuss our likes and dislikes, and was very good at gauging our crowd and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. Definitely an excellent choice.

Vinny is awesome and I really wish I would have been able to book him. Although, he wasnt available and I was put with someone else. The package I got included 1 DJ and 2 crowd entertainers. I would recommend to meet with the crowd entertainers awhile before your event instead of 1 week prior. One of the crowd entertainers was more like a mute and no one ever even knew this person was there.. not sure what they were suppose to add. The other one was just only marginal.. nothing great. The real thing that got me was I purchased the audio/video package and put hundreds of pictures together in separate folders that was to go along with certain songs for the reception... i spent HOURS on this project and only a few pictures were shown. I also printed out a list of reception music i wanted played and nope, only got maybe 20% of that. So i was disappointed in my DJ selection. I think if I had had a point person to go tell them what to do it would have helped.. although, i thought that was why i met with them prior.If you do pick this company really try to get Vinny.. i heard he rocks.. its the crowd entertainers that are worrisome.

They were so great! Did an awesome job and totally made the party! Knew the best way to set up the order of the reception to make it flow but not feel rushed and get all the "events" of the evening done quickly so the rest of the evening could be spent enjoying all the friends and family that came to the reception!

Vinny and team are amazing! If you don't hire this DJ your wedding won't be as fun. Vinny and his wife did my brother’s wedding back in 2001. We had such a great time that I KNEW I'd call on them for my own one day. 7 years later... We still get compliments on how amazing our wedding was. The one comment that is consistent: the music and atmosphere (created by Vinny and team) was out of this world. We had tables singing songs together, cheerleaders performing stunts, military men brought to their knees... You will not have a cookie cutter wedding DJ with Split Second Sound! He truly made our wedding unique and special.

We like that SSS came with 2 DJs, one acting as an emcee, and they had a pretty neat light set-up. What we didn't like was that the music that was played before the dance music was definitely not what we asked for. We had wanted Sinatra/Buble/Connick music and they had some kind of Rod Stewart/easy listening nonsense. At one point, my husband and I looked at each other and said, what the heck are they playing?!?! Even my mom came up and told them that they needed to play some more upbeat music. After they started playing the music we requested, everything was fine. The one DJ did a great job of working the crowd, especially my grandmother!

Our DJs were so much fun! I chose Split Second based on several great referrals from friends and family members. My husband and I wanted DJs who would get the reception crowd moving, and that's exactly what we got. Our reception was a blast for us, and Split Second was instrumental in creating a fun environment for everyone.

These guys came highly recommended. I know of two couples that scheduled their wedding date around Split Second, specifically Vinnie's, availability. We were not disappointed.

I heard from several people how wonderful their services are and we were happy with 90% of their services. Our DJ package included 2 DJs, one to play the music and the other to coordinate all the events at our reception and interact with guests on the dance floor. They both did a great job. The only drawback was they did not have a large selection of songs AT ALL! We probably should have been more specific in our reception song playlist, but several songs that were requested by our guests they did not have! The reception had great energy though and I was dancing all night long, but I would have preferred better music (less 70s dance/"typical" wedding songs and NO ELECTRIC SLIDE!).
