Well, I'm going to say I was really happy with the dress in the end but getting there was something else. The service that I received the first time was really good. Granted it took the sales lady a lot longer then it should have to come and help me, once she did we were off to a great start. Ordered the dress and all was fine. I nearly had a heart attach when my wedding planner called about a month before the wedding to check on pick up dates and they had no record of me in their systems. They spelt my name wrong! Picking up my dress I received the worst service of my life! The dress was completely crumpled up, I cried because it was too big and no one in the store tried to assist or tell me about alterations. The sales lady stood by the desk and didn't even help me get into the dress my mom had to! Needless to say I did not get my alterations done there. I was very upset when I left. Thankfully a seamstress recommended to me from my wedding planner saved the day with alterations.
I would never recommend them.
I was suggested to go to Sposabella by family because the got their dress there. I always check reviews online and found %80 of it was bad reviews.
So i went in knowing that it may be unpleasant, first off i was asked if i had an appt by 3 staff standing around talking. When i said no i was lazily told to look around and pick some dresses out.
I picked out a few dresses and was helped by a lady that wasnt there at the front. she was very kind and helpful and cracked a few jokes.
My dress came in 6mos but i didnt go in for a fitting less then 3 WEEKS before my wedding!! yes, yes i know what is wrong with me lol.
Going in i knew they were gonna be angry at the time frame. They kept saying they didn't know what they were gonna i was gonna do and were not happy. I was calm and said whatever u can do is good, no pressure. That seemed to calm them down and they wanted to help me! Got my dress in 6 days Thank goodness, i really appreciate them doing that!
I got my wedding dress from Sposabella and I was quite thrilled with the service. I had read past reviews from other clients and they had nothing but horrible things to say about Sposabella, I do not agree with anything they said!! I dealt with a lady named Tonya and she was such great help, found me exactly what I was looking for. She just kept bringing me accessories because she did not want me to leave feeling like I didn't get the whole experience. I guess I can't speak for Sposabella overall...but my experience with Tonya was great..plus I walked out with my wedding dress so that's just an added bonus.
I made an appointment at this store as well as others at West Edmonton Mall to find my wedding dress. Every other store was extremely helpful and i was enjoying the experience. When i walked into Sposabella i was impressed by the selection of dresses but immediately received negative feelings from the staff in the store. The staff were unavailable to answer questions and when approached would not answer them. Staff were extremely rude and did the bare minimum to help me to find a dress. When i did have a dress on that i liked i was in such a bad mood and annoyed that i did not enjoy the moment. I felt pushed out of the store by the staff (i do not know how they get business if they make all their customers feel this way) I left the store but could not stop thinking about the dress. I DID NOT WANT TO GO BACK AND GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS BUT I WANTED THE DRESS. Went back tried it on again, (different staff memeber helped me) AND SHE WAS WORSE! The dress fit and i wanted to buy it but the zipper was a little broken and the dress was dirty. The staff were not flexible and said i would be paying full price (i needed to buy off the rack because i did not have enough time to order and dresses off the rack usually are sold cheaper). Then i noticed the dress had a major flaw and the ruffles had been sewn on the slip to short. So, not only was the service poor but the designer made poor dresses and charged far to much for them. I am actually glad the staff were so rude to me because buying that dress would have been a mistake. Their poor service and stuck up attitudes ruined my day and overall dress shopping experience. The only thing that keeps that store open must be the large collection because the staff are awful to deal with and do not help at all.
My dress was amazing and was a dress that i found in 2010 Bridal magazne. The dress was made by designer named Demetrio's, Who when i looked for on the internet found that the only two places in canada that his dresses were availiable were in Monteal and in Edmonton Yeah lucky me!!! On the flip side of that statment when i tryed on the dress i didnt like it as much as i liked the picture of it.But liking the style of his dresses i only had to try on three dresses before i found that perfect dress, And YOU KNOW when you put it on that its THE ONE.
When dealing with the store I ordered my dress in the last week of Feb. And it was shipped to the store June 25 Our wedding was on Augst 14/2010 i also at that time ordered my veil and tiarra although i did go in june to try on my dress The store did not measure me for the veil ( I thought that when tryed on the veil that when i ordered it that it would be what ordered) No The veil comes in two pieces 1, the comb 2,tulle THE VEIL HAS TO BE MEASURED ON YOU THE BRIDE ALWAY REMEMBER TO BRING IN THE SHOES THAT YOU WILL BE WEARING THE DAY OF !!! Also the bussel this is considered a alteration so keep this in mind you will need to have these things done before you pick up your dress also you will need to have the dress steamed before pick up. Now dealing with this vender ??? In the end i got everything i ordered but not with out my share of headaches.Thank God I will only marry once.
I bought two bridesmaid dresses from this vendor, and although their selection and price is pretty good, the customer service and policies of this store make it an absolute chore to go to.
The employees are stuck up and seem to just want to rush you out of the store. But the worst one is always the manager, she always seemed like she didn't have time for my questions.
Just coming to browse in this store is nearly impossible, because the second you walk in the showroom, 3 employees are ON YOU to take down your information even before you've seen anything.
They're very pushy, and their store isn't all that nice!
I heard a lot of bad reviews for this shop, but decided to try anyway. I had amazing service, they asked me straight off the bat what I wanted, and said walk around pick out some styles you like write down the number and we can try those on in addition to the ones my consultant pulled. They humored my mom when she wanted me to try on a lot of styles because she wasn't there for my first shopping round and pinning on straps and different veils. They had no issues going over my hour time slot helping me try dresses on for almost an extra hour and I was even there on a Saturday. I bought my dress there was no pushiness and they worked hard to stay in my budget which was hard because I wanted all lace and the consultant pulled my ideal dress. My consultant gave me some cards for reception places when I told her I didn't have one yet and helped me figure out how to incorporate my grandmothers pearls. It seems it is very hit and miss at this store for service, I would give it a try because I had an amazing experience, and found my amazing most perfect beautiful lace dress. My consultant was Trish, she was fantastic, the lady who did my measurements helped me pick out the best size, and everyone was helpful if Trish needed a hand zipping up or lacing. The best thing is being a 12-14 the samples actual went on and did up, Sposabella orders the more popular styles in lots of sizes for everyone.
Try it out I can't guarantee anything but try it, I went to a place that the reviews were fantastic and it totally sucked nothing in my price range I was told it was impossible to get lace for under 2000 min, they told me I was to big for most of the samples.
Again everyone has a different experience, some stores are so different day by day, I know consistency would be nice but you never know until you go in.
We walked in, started looking around, asked for help and never got any, then we were ignored for an hour and were asked to leave the store and come back after we made an appointment. Terrible service! I would never go to Sposabella again! They had their noses stuck so far up in the air that i dont know if they ever saw the ground in their life!
Tried on a few dresses there. I felt pressured to have to buy a dress that day. The saleslady told me not to waste her time when I told her it was my first day looking around. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience so I left having tried on dresses that she wanted me to try, not the ones I liked...
