The venue was offbeat and perfectly fit our vibe, though you’re probably better off capping your party to 120 people or fewer. We had 150 and were a touch tight, but it was still a blast and our guests raved about the evening. Coordinator Dave is an unusual guy. He is very good at details, but he always seemed very frazzled on the phone, and he was not very reassuring in the early stages of the planning process. He didn’t give us straight answers on a couple matters and I was second-guessing our decision to book early. However, the night itself went off without a hitch, even if it meant dealing with some less-than-warm Sprecher employees along the way (the woman in charge of personalized bottling was a bit chippy, as well). Part of this might have been the natural up-tightness that comes with planning a wedding, but I tried to be very objective and friends I asked seemed to think Sprecher took some blame in that. In the end, the employees gave us what we needed and we didn’t have to compromise because of this customer-service shortcoming.

The best man did an excellent job planning the bachelor party. Very affordable. The guys liked the Sprecher Tour – something different, got to taste all different kinds of beers and rootbeers. Cost of tour was only $3.00 - $5.00 (don’t remember exactly).

We were so excited to have our reception in a brewery and the place was beautiful! It looks like a German beer garden. The tables were decorated the way we wanted them and overall, we were pleased with the physical venue. Our problems came during the reception when the PA system kept breaking up and the music would turn off. The person from Sprecher kept telling us we needed to let the stereo cool down which meant we had moments without music. Also, a neon sign on a wall was leaking and it got on some of our guests' clothes and Sprecher did not offer to compensate these people to get their clothes replaced or cleaned. Finally, my dad ripped his pants on a nail that was sticking out of a beer barrel and he told the manager and the guy basically just said "Sorry" but didn't offer to compensate my dad for the pants. I don't think he even moved the barrel. We really liked the venue but those problems kind of left a bad taste in our mouth.
